Unless they get turn 3 sorted the team will feature r/r a lot. It saddens me the way Stoke have declined over the last decade.

British Speedway Promoters Meeting
comebackkings replied to dantodan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The basic idea is a good one, but as always it always falls apart when the bones are picked at. Even when they are only riding against each other or second strings I can see teams wanting as many points as possible, so they will get a lot of help from the more experienced riders, probably more with riding lines and machinery than cash, but who knows? R/R will be eventful, I have no idea how they are going to get around that one, especially if its the number 5 in the averages that is out, perhaps more guests? That will please not many on here. If it's done properly then the idea will work, what average the reserves have the season afterwards will be interesting, but at least they have done something and should be applauded for that. The 32 points for the top 5 is a bit of a squeeze though, It will be interesting to see how many 6/7 pointers are left out through that. Its a start, but I just can't get the niggling feeling that its a setup for the South coast to win again out of my head. I wonder why that is? -
Ipswich V Edinburgh 25/7/13

So he should apologise for getting hit? That's a new one. -
Going back to the original post ask Jan Staechmann after Shaun Wilson ended his career as a rider. I think it was Wilson that was threatening to sue if Stekkers publically accused him of deliberately taking him out. In my opinion Wilson knew exactly what he was doing the dirty b'stard.

Ludvig Lindgren (he's Fine Before You Worry!)

"In the interests of British Speedway" exception perhaps? To be honest, the Berwick v Newcastle meeting was changed so he was put in an impossible position. This is what happens when you don't keep the conveyor belt of young talent going, the NL and development leagues are helping by starting to do the job now, but it will take a while to make up for the years of neglect of Brits for mercenary foreignors. -

IMO Pearson and Tatum have calmed their commentry down a bit from their Sky broadcasts, they are not at irritating as I have found them in the past. Don't know if thats just me though? -

Well done Tai, this could be the year. -
Ben Barker In Trouble With The Police

Hit and run is against a person and he would have got a lot more than a 6 month ban. Leaving the scene on an accident is not "running from the law" -

I'm still wondering just what Barker has done to polarise opinion so much. It seems he is either hated or admired, why? -

Good start to the GP's for Tai. Let's hope some of the doubters were choking on their cereal this morning. -

Ward got caught. He could have been smashed out of his head in a secluded location and no one would be the wiser. But he chose to be in view at night on an unregistered bike having a beer and a smoke with his mates. The guy is a chancer, which is why he keeps getting caught, it is also why many expect him to be World Champion. He needs to work out how to stop getting caught, all 3 incidents have involved him being drunk or been drinking, it doesn't stop him being a great rider, it just stops people from respecting him as a person. How would you feel if your daughter came home with him as her new boyfriend, I know I wouldn't be impressed -
Yet another opportunity bites the dust. Maybe its the plan of the BSPA to get Speedway to the level of an amateur sport in the UK? They should go ahead with a couple of meetings at Oxford, if the track is still there.
