  1. It might be allowed in the UK but the GP's are a different matter, And interstingly enough comments were made by the powers that be in Parken so I herd from a mechanic friend.
  2. So he was in Parken, in Hans pits, with clipboard in hand just making the tea then !!!!
  3. Having Read todays Daily Mirror on the subject. Mick Bratley is referred to as Hans Manager, Correct me if Im wrong but isnt Mr Bratley Co-Promoter at Peterbro now, and I was of the opinion that a Promoter or Co-Promoter is to have any involvement or Bias towards a rider. Interstingly enough Mr Bratley was seen on TV in the Pits with Hans in Saturday nights GP, surley this shouldnt be allowed.
  4. I do hope you're having a laugh! Yet another ridiculous decision, speedway can't get anything right. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WC - First week in August as always, then a two week break and then back into the GP's. From what i have heard at BV, race off in Poland and final at Poole, apparantly that way they get the big crowd for the final. Think this is a good idea, no offense but not a lot of Poles can afford english prices and this way they still get their speedway fix.
  5. Ahh, but not a money betting person, (just of the odd kid, house or boyfriend LOL) i just wondered if the nearer the end of the competition got the shorter the odds - does that make sense.
  6. Must admit, i am a Tony fan as well but i really this Jason does deserve the title this year - it's just a shame he doesn't really have much of a personality. May he could work on it - once hes there PS - does anyone know the odds for championship and i have they changed (you can tell i'm not a betting person)
  7. Correct me if i'm wrong - but Tony's ginger (maybe a lighter version but definately ginger)
  8. Hey Mr B - didn't it say in the speedway star that the FIM had not allocated any blame to HA. I guess they have investigated it and decided that HA wasn't guilty, saying that i'm sure they have also investigated the ref for his dodgy decisions. All teams had 30 mins after the event to post an official complaint as when the jury met at 11pm no charges were brought forward (so a little bird tells me). Maybe no compliant - no investigation. I hear what you are saying about inquiries but there is always a jury meeting after every FIM event and no results stand until this has been carried out. I to agree this chapter should be closed - theres more to life?
  9. Yes, you're probably right he wont ride for poole again at least not with the current promotion (although thats set to change) :-( As for middlo, I thought he gave up riding years ago, but apparantly not as he still takes a few old bikes abroad with him.
  10. I don't think but that was the gossip flying around BV last week. And further info.... The wonderful ref, Master Bates, did not have a working television monitior in his box for the first 17 heats, any incidents had to be taken on his initial hunch and where he wasn't sure - all four riders back. Now call me nothern, but, in such a crucial match surely the ref needs a screen to double check facts.
  11. I think this is very sad as all you have done is lost british riders one of their main sponsors for next year. Bet their thank you for that.
  12. Have just found this item on the Ipswich Forum and found it to be a thought provoking statement and figured it might be appropriate that it should be posted on here. ""Dear Witches Supporters. I have read on this forum and others all the very many comments posted about Hans since Saturday evening. I had hoped that I would not need to make a response on behalf of Hans, indeed Hans has not wanted me to do so, but I feel duty bound. Some facts. Hans injured his knuckles on his left hand in the fall during heat one of Saturday's SWC. This was compounded prior to Hans taking to the track for Heat 25 when Tomasz Gollob and Hans collided quite heavily in the (very crowded) pits, further injuring his knuckles. Hans was in pain yesterday (Sunday) morning and we made the decision that he should return to Denmark for treatment from his physio on Monday. Hans is expecting to ride in Sweden on Tuesday providing his hand feels ok. Hans did not ride in Poland on Sunday, indeed he is not riding in Poland this season at all. Let me tell you that I am British and although having divided loyalties on Saturday, nothing would have given me more pleasure than to see Team GB win the World Cup. I have also known Hans a long time, I know him well enough to know when he is telling the truth, if I thought otherwise, I would not be here now typing this message. Hans would never contest any race with the thought in his mind of not winning. I didn't envy him in Heat 25. His English team mate inside him (who contrary to popular belief Hans does get on with and is someone Hans has respect for totally), and his Swedish team mate outside him. Hans I felt would be the biggest loser in this race no matter what. I was praying for him to touch the tapes, but even that would have provoked much criticism I would suggest. He had made changes to his bike prior to Heat 25, made the gate but the bike started to spin, he looked over his shoulder (as he normally does) and revved the bike to try and gain traction, however PK on the outside and in the dirt was generating far more speed and overtook him as did Scott and even eventually Gollob. Obviously this was interpreted differently by Kelvin Tatum, and suddenly what seems like the Speedway world has become Hans' Judge, Jury and Executioner. No one at the stadium thought anything of it as many people have posted on here, but with the wonders of today's technology Kelvin's comments were soon known to everyone. Hans never gave it another thought until he came off track and the various accusations started to surface. Sunday morning I was faced with a very upset and crestfallen young man. We should have been celebrating a bronze medal and a great personal performance for the Danish team. Unfortunately we were denied that. Hans' closest people in this country are all British. His biggest sponsors are British. To cheat Team GB out of winning the World Cup would surely not be the smartest thing to do and would never had entered Hans head. I should also add that any accusations of money changing hands are ludicrous and would not be entertained by Hans or myself. I am very disappointed by the attitude of some so called Speedway Supporters of this country by the threats that have been made against a young man of only 23 years old. The effect it has had on him, his family and those closest to him including myself and my family, has been devastating. Most of all I am disappointed that an (allegedly) impartial Sky TV pundit felt the need to pursue the age old British trait of having to have a reason for failure and choosing Hans to be it. Finally, I would like to thank people for the many messages of support that Hans has received, yes there has been quite a few. If any Witches supporter wishes to ask myself a question please feel free to email me offline, as I don't really wish to make any further public comment on the subject. Thank you. Mick Bratley. "" Please accept my apologies if i have not fully thanked the correct web site but i'm new at these computer thingies
  13. SAS Raddision in Bgsh still has vacanices at about 49 euros a night. Nice hotel and if you book via the internet rates are a little cheaper. Track is only a five minute walk from this hotel, as is the City Hotel (same price and just as nice)
