  1. Good final ride by Vaculik but overall not a good race meeting.
  2. No points no surprise, I predicted we wouldn't get another away point a couple of weeks ago, what is a surprise is the margin of defeat. Not replacing Stevie who was never going to come back fully from 3 months out after a nasty injury has come back to bite us on the backside, I would never have had Cook back this season, the GP was always going to have a negative impact as hes way out of his depth, always talks a good game pre season though, this might wake up the owners as they have lost out on the most lucrative meetings of the season. The difficult decisions should have been made rather than any misplaced loyalty. having said that lets not take anything away from Leicester, well done to them.
  3. Law of averages Leicester cant carry on losing at home and with our woeful away record ending that run tomorrow wouldn't totally surprise me.
  4. Very surprised to see Sheffield totally capitulate, I would have had them down for a play off place. In football parlance it seems the management have lost the dressing room.
  5. No points no surprise, cant comment about the ref as I couldn't get time off to get down there, not really great from the No1 but Worrall, Tungate, and Drozdz cost us as they never turned up at all, Lemon should have got rid of the Pole and Worrall has really let the club down by returning when he clearly is not fit to do the job disappointed in him, tbh his return is looking a tad selfish as he must have known he wasn't up to it. I predicted not another away point and still cant see it, Leicester being the best chance but I fear that would be too little too late.
  6. Season over for us, Worrall should have been replaced as he was never going to come back after 3 months with such a bad injury and hit the ground running, throw in the decision to release Etheridge who would definitely have scored more tonight than Riss and Cook not really hitting the heights and a play off place always looked iffy when you consider our away form. Fricke, Bewley, and Tungate are the 3 I would be looking to keep out of this side.
  7. People complain about speedway not having characters anymore, then when one turns up (Ayers) they then complain about antics. I always enjoy watching Ayers always entertaining and last night was no different, always great to see a rider show passion, and our own Cookie has shown that on more than one occasion.
  8. I expect Aces to win this one but we must ensure the Stars leave without a bonus point.
  9. As expected a Tigers win but the Colts kept it closer than I was expecting, Kemp looks very good, stylish and fast, great to see a good batch of young riders coming through, GB looks to have a bright future.
  10. The Colts will do well to overcome the Tigers who are a powerful side this season, im looking forward to watching the likes of Drew Kemp and Jordan Jenkins throw in the likes of Danny Ayers and Josh Bailey and it will be a stern test but with the potential of some good racing. Ben Wilson guests for Jack Smith who is on duty with Swindon.
  11. Agree i think Lynn will be too strong and run out fairly comfy winners.
  12. Ford is a shrewd businessman and has to make Poole speedway pay, if he is talking about time to get out you know the sport has reached or very nearly reached the point of no return. Should be a wake up call for the BSPA but don't hold your breath.
  13. This is absolutely dire a shocking advert for the sport made even worse coming after Cardiff. Just hope those in the nearby houses dont have any washing out.
  14. When you look back to when the sport was last in dire straights along came Mike Parker and soon after we had the boom years of the 70,s and 80,s so it can be done, where are we going to find another MP that is the question. JC does have some good ideas and im sure would be a very good asset in an advisory capacity as stated above.
  15. Found that hard to watch, terrible entertainment, poor crowd, poor track, overpriced tickets, not really a lot going for it.
  16. Good meeting Poole starting well and the Aces chipping away to get back into it, Max shedding a chain on the start line and overcooking it a bit in heat 15 allowed Poole to take a point in the end, having said that though it would have been very harsh if Poole had gone back down south empty handed they were good value for a point, well deserved. Worrall his usual self around the NSS and Klindt were the weak links for the pirates, Bewley more subdued than usual for the Aces. Heat 14 was worth the entrance fee alone, fabulous stuff from Woryna and Tungate. Think theres more to come from these two teams.
  17. Given how much opposition riders enjoy coming here i always have a reservation about winning and never take it for granted. Just hope we can continue our recent good form and build on the win at Rye.
  18. Well done the Aces a win on the night a nice bonus. Damian suprised me and with Dan and Jye a bit off too it augers well for rest of the season.
  19. I remember the Aces pulling back a similar deficit against Exeter at Hyde Road so Wolves fans don't want to throw in the towel just yet. As mentioned above Cookie is struggling, Rohan dosent go well round Monmore, cant see Damian doing much either, theres no reason Wolves cant do to us what we did to them, if Wolves get off to a good start and build momentum who knows?
