  1. No surprise really Wolves away was a one off freak result, normal service resumed tonight, with Wells and Berge we will continue to put in poor performances away from the NSS, Steve is inconsistent and Dan is still struggling, Robins were vulnerable with no Musielak and that should have given us the opportunity to at least take a point, so well done to Swindon who took us to the cleaners whilst under strength, get Tobi back fit and the Robins look a good strong outfit.
  2. And we have more of this to look forward to going off bt, s schedule one question Why?
  3. Good meeting and a great effort from the Witches well worth their point.
  4. Missed a trick now his average has dropped methinks
  5. Agree mate if this place can't get the support it's a great worry for the sport other more expensive sports don't suffer at the gate when live on TV like speedway does, the next televised meeting will be the same sadly
  6. Understand what you are saying and agree but the sad fact is the sport does not peak the interest of the public nowadays, every meeting we talk about crowd levels as much as the racing, but we are all aware of that, only the powers that be can have an impact on that, until they get their heads out of the sand the problem will remain
  7. We all know that keep harping on about it does get tedious, and keep pointing out speedway lack of fans isn't going to rectify it
  8. Don't know why people always mention the crowd, the sport is down and nearly out
  9. It takes two teams to provide good racing and that applies to every track, so I hope the Aces win but the Witches put in a strong performance keep it close and we get some good entertainment.
  10. Would expect a very sparse attendance tomorrow with no incentive to encourage fans to attend as its on tv, for me live sport is always better than watching on tv. Funny how other sports football, rugby, snooker, darts, ice hockey, etc never have such a dramatic drop in attendances when live on the telly, I know nowadays speedway has low crowds but the fans seem far quicker to stay away from televised events, with the cost of premier league football for example you would think many more would save what is in effect a bigger chunk of money than we spend on speedway and stay at home, but it doesn't happen as fans of other sports put more emphasis on live games.
  11. A few good races but overall the expected poor fare that you come to expect from this venue, the Champions league final was also a poor game so looking forward to two big sporting events in one day both disappointed.
  12. I also thought Plymouth would be taken to the cleaners but fair play to them they attacked the track from the start and kept it close throughout. Jordan Palin looks a natural on the bike with a great style and good speed another excellent young prospect coming through, Ben Wilson was very quick and I was impressed with Richard Andrews who also had good speed and never gave up culminating in a great race in heat 15, for me Plymouth deserved a point for their efforts.
  13. Bjerre if anything at the moment is worse.
  14. Take away Doyle and perhaps Fricke and there's not much of a difference between the leagues at all. With the Championship being strongly Northern based racing at that level would certainly see far better crowds as far more away supporters would travel, the racing would still be excellent and we wouldn't miss the GP riders as there is only one in the so called top league.
  15. Think you will be fairly comfy tonight, can see Dan struggling at this stage of his comeback, the track is a new one for Lidsey, don't expect much from Berge, having said that Fricke Bjerre Worrall and Wells can get round Monmore but Wolves fly round there.
  16. Understand your point mate but we got constant slating over the dog track being poor even though it kept the club alive. Suppose what goes round comes round.
  17. If we ride as we did against Peterborough at home I can see Wolves capilalising and getting a double, I didn't feel we were convincing at all. Dan will struggle at Monmore as he's still feeling his way back and Jaimon has to learn the away tracks so wolves should be comfortable at home. Will settle for a good home win.
  18. Signed I really hope a new site can be found, I always enjoyed my trips down to Lakeside.
  19. Congratulations to all at Workington on winning the title, well deserved I'm chuffed for Laura and hope the town really gets behind the team and come out in force next season. I always enjoy my trips up there and have seen some great racing. The Comets are certainly the comeback Kings this season.
