  1. Add the times that Tatum tells us Zmarzlik is world champion as well, seems to be every sentance.
  2. This should be a comfortable home win but we have looked vulnerable at home so far, as this is the start of a run of home meetings its just what the team need, hope the track is prepared for some good racing that has been missing at the NSS so far this season, best racing has been in the NL.
  3. I remember Peter Collins winning a race at Hyde Road after his handlebars snapped, he won holding the forks with his left hand
  4. I know people with no interest in football that wear city, united leisure wear and the same with other sports because the product is good, if speedway could get this right its certainly another way of getting the clubs name out there.
  5. Most speedway merchandise just seems geared for people to wear on the terracing, when i go in Man Utd shop everything is geared for general leisure ware for everyday use, i know theres a massive difference between speedway and football clubs financially but i would like to see more leisure ware type merchandise that i could wear socially not just at the track.
  6. I have to agree Lisa, you should be expecting your number one to be leading the way and showing consistency, that i expected nothing and was underwhelmed by his signing didnt bode well. Lets hope those that say Bewley going to number one will relieve the pressure on Kurtz and he can pick up are right, but really in this weak league he should be doing far far better than this.
  7. Very good meeting with some good racing, far better than what people see on tv, the rain did seem to suit Wolves more than us but Douglas and Becker came to the party and who is to say they wouldnt have had it stayed dry? Our problem again was two under performing riders, i didnt expect anything from Kurtz so have not been disappointed, but Wright has been a major let down so far, nothing like the rider that won the British final and did so well at the GP in Cardiff, but a very good meeting very enjoyable and had a good chat with some Wolves fans who were top blokes.
  8. Im looking forward to the trip down but dont have a lot of optimism for this one being honest, we are going to need the type of bounce back that we showed at Peterborough to get anything i think, is it now straightforward paying on the door? Some clubs still seem to be struggling.
  9. I noticed when riding for Poole he seemed to have an aversion to his first couple of races, Poole fans did warn us what we were going to get, i for one was underwhelmed by his signing but thought he would be better than what hes shown, no doubt with Lemon his position in the team will be safe.
  10. Time for a career change methinks, hes not got what it takes.
  11. I had a feeling we would lose this one, i wasnt convinced when we signed the Worralls and Kurtz who to be kind have been inconsistent, five race winners tells its own story, Wolves were head and shoulders above us. I also get the feeling Bewley dosent want to be here, looking at how hes kicking on under Woffindens wing in Poland he should be cleaning up in our league, i just feel Dan probably thinks he owes us a season after we stood by him as he came back from serious injury far from full fitness. I dont think he will ride in the UK next year, what would be the incentive? Any other up coming British rider when getting to Dans level i think will also drop the UK, we will just be a training league for the Extraliga, we would probably be better off going to one league, apart from a handful its the same riders in both leagues the only difference we pay more to watch them in the Premiership. Wolves are my tip for the play off final they are superb around Monmore and very good an all other away tracks, i cant see any team beating them over two legs, As mikebv says above we dont even have the consolation of good racing as its been poor generally this season, not a patch on other seasons, we always look vulnerable at home, i think we look a better side on our travels at the moment, so well done Wolves who really won this at a canter.
  12. Yes its getting a pain, thing is i go out at 0500 for work and the delivery is through the door at just after 4am if i get one, just the wrong item, im going to try to e mail newsteam again, i got no reply from pinegen i suppose they are as fed up with reading my e mails as i am sending them. And just post the replacement mag.
  13. Well yet again another failure by Newsteam, after weeks of delivering nothing when first taking on the delivery of the Star they actually got it right for a couple of weeks, or so i thought, last week i received the daily telegraph today i received the Daily Star. I will contact the office later as their e mail is undergoing maintainance at the moment. I did request weeks ago to go back to Royal Mail and stated i would even pay the extra for postage that Pinegen would incur. The only other option is just buy the mag at the track but i would miss the winter month editions. Ive e mailed Newsteam but all e mails just come back undelivered. Its getting to the point where it really not worth the hassle.
  14. Got tickets for this one, ive heard people say you are told where to stand but there is nothing as regards to that on the tickets ive printed off?
  15. Hopefully speedway returns to Brandon a stadium sadly missed, everything ive read about this case tends to come across as the developers are flogging a dead horse as there dosent seem to be any enthusiasm for new housing within the council or local community.
  16. I got the Daily Telegraph delivered this morning so no doubt someone expecting the Telegraph got the Star. I e mailed Newsteam and Pingen. Replacement Star in the post. I wonder with people myself included who have had issues with Newsteam and Pingen have had to send out extra mags and pay for Royal Mail postage are they actually saving that much?
  17. I would expect a comfy win but i thought that against Peterborough, Belle Vue have looked vulnerable so far in our home meetings, need to all get dialled in as all away riders love coming here.
  18. Bridger no surprise, I was surprised any club touched him.
  19. Deserved to BV looking vulnerable at home so far only early doors but scraped home both time, Panthers rode well for all the jibes aimed at them you cant beat experience,
  20. Appears to be the case, i was completely underwhelmed with his signing and not convinced so far, needs to start his meetings before his third ride.
  21. Gutted with this news, always loved stopping off on my way to/from Cornwall and taking a meeting in, great track and friendly fans, this venue will be sadly missed, only the Crossways Inn to stop for now, great shame, got to feel for the fans.
