Despite the big win some really good racing, Eurosport missed a trick, sods law next week when they turn up it will be poor fare in front of a very sparse crowd, i dont know why people prefer to stay at home and watch on tv, nothing like being there, always been the same in speedway even before the economic problems.

Its great news for Edinburgh, obviously theres work to be done but the sport in this country needs some positivity and the Monarchs not being another lost club provides that.

Look on the bright side at least its over.

I was terrified when he was being linked to us.

What a comparison to how the sport is in Poland, chalk and cheese.
-
TV coverage isnt really doing the sport any favours this season, been some dire meetings, cant see newbies being tempted in.

They spend two minutes at the start gardening and one minute actually racing.

Probably but Doyle, Riss, Howarth, Musielak doing ok on it.

Jason Doyle is a class apart, great servant to British speedway, a great rider.

Batchelor really is dire.

Thats why i wont leave it on the street during the meeting, was thinking it would be ok during the day as the companies there will be working. -

Yes i could do but was thinking i could just park up and forget about the car till after the meeting, its not a long walk into town. Probably park up on a side street near the stadium walk into town then get back to the stadium about six ish. -

Can only see a comfy home win as Fricke and Kurtz seem to struggle here and Matej hasnt been there for a few years. One question due to circumstances im going to be getting into Wolverhamton early around 14.00 and plan to park by the stadium and walk into town, will the stadium car park be available at that time? I only ask because Sheffield always is when ive had to arrive there earlier . -
Best move for you dropping down, apart from a handful, teams are made up of the same riders, we just pay more to watch them, being honest i would have dropped down a long time ago, more variety team wise and quite a few northern based clubs that would swell the gate with better away support, not being beholden to Poland on your home race day is another bonus.

I really hope Grant can pull something out of the hat for Newcastle, sad to see them in their current state especially when you think of the days of the Owens, Hunter, etc.I have a trip planned up there soon always enjoy a night or two in Newcastle. I thought at the time signing BWD was a waste of time and so it proved, hope things turn around for the fans.

All valid points but you have to ask why the FIM chose to have these qualifiers on a designated UK race night, dont know if the promoters could do anything about that, does underline the level of protection UK race nights actually have. Its going to be the proverbial one man and his dog tonight. Its interesting when Manchester storm were getting 12,000 to 16,000 at the arena for ice hockey, John Perrin stated as soon as they stop giving out free tickets the bubble will burst which it did big style and the club folded, with that in mind would freebie tickets work in speedway?

Ipswich v Lynn June 2nd

Doyle is a class act and great respect to him for his loyalty to British speedway. -
Due to the football play off and UCL final i actually forgot about the GP, probably due to the fact ive never enjoyed a Prague GP. Reading peoples thoughts im glad i didnt waste my time with the meeting or the highlights package, surely now these dire tracks will be weedled out as the GP rights holders wont want this type of event going forwards?

I would just like to thank Ipswich for gazumping us for Batchelors services, phew close one that

Can only see a 60+ home win unless the weather saves Newcastle.
