  1. I agree with you, ive always said Doyely is a throwback a real speedway racer, whether it be a league match, GP, or an open meeting like the Peter Craven Memorial he leaves nothing out on the track.
  2. Terrible news just hope its not as bad as it seems, ive always liked Doyley got a lot of respect for him, great rider, loyal to British speedway, he seems to be similar to Tai in picking up these injuries, at this stage of their careers they need to think about the future, and they always seem to be the innocent party, i would heed the warnings and call it quits but these are speedway riders a breed apart. Best wishes for a full recovery.
  3. Probably the reason so many people just come out for the play offs and save money during the qualifiers, add in tv and streaming its no surprise numbers on the terraces is so sparse.
  4. Belle Vue produces some of the best racing when the tracks slicker rather than deep.
  5. To be fair its not just him, team riding has become a lost art.
  6. Not bad for throttle jockeys 😉
  7. I dont think TV and now all clubs doing their own stream is going to help put numbers on the terracing when people can save money watching it at home, the exceptions being the play offs. Another thing at one time many clubs raced on a Saturday Belle Vue, Coventry, Cradley, Swindon, Kings Lynn so was a lot easier for people to travel, i remeber when people used to say we need regular speedway shown on TV to entice crowds to the sport, it appears to be having the opposite effect.
  8. I will be watching on tv not an inspiring line up at all but thats where the sport is in the UK nowadays, i would never watch an Aces meeting on tv and i think its time this meeting was spread around maybe a different venue each year?
  9. Thought this at Belle Vue when a rider comes near him he backs off, i can see him walking away from the sport.
  10. Without a doubt mate, i think with Tate he would have been better finding his feet after his bad crash with Workington in the Championship, he could ease himself back in and build up confidence theres plenty on time for his Aces career, but 5+1 at Sheffield was a decent return so hopefully he can gain momentum. Jake really is struggling he shows flashes here and there.
  11. To be honest mate i dont think our home advantage is a great as some believe it to be, we only scrapped over the line in this one and lost our first, think there will be more close run meetings in future as well.
  12. It for the Colts v Steelers meeting at Sheffield after the Premiership meeting to give any Aces fans the option of watching both if they want to not being forced to.
  13. I dont understand riders taking a place in the UK if they are not interested, take Tungate for example whats the point in him getting bikes and mechanics set up over here and spending time flying in and out if he isnt interested? Its not like hes earning is it?
  14. Thanks i thought they did, i wonder how many that dont will start given the affect on crowds in the stadiums?
  15. Off the top of my head i couldnt say all clubs who have their own streams Belle Vue, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Berwick and Plymouth do if im not mistaken Poole too.
  16. Dont blame you for lack of interest mate, our first stream saw a very poor crowd though easter was late this year, i think comparing the cost of a stream to paying for petrol, food, programme, entry, car park etc a lot of people will only turn up at tracks for the play offs, dont know what the deal is to televise on TNT but cant see BSN being much tbh.
  17. Thats why i question all the streaming, its got to have a negative affect on footfall into the stadium, i wonder if the revenue from streams offset the shortfall of people actually paying at the turnstiles?
  18. Looking at Oxford and Birmingham we might as well save time and money and go straight to the play offs, terrible fare so far.
  19. So you generalize the whole fan base based on a couple of forum posts, could say the same about your "lot" given you are backing your own troll
  20. I didnt quite understand the chequebook speedway comment either when you look at the top two his own team have???
  21. I think the problem with mental health nowadays is that its become in vogue to just just use mental health as a badge without having any issues whatsoever so its downplayed for people who actually do have real mental health problems. For example as a Manchester United fan ive heard fans saying recent results are affecting my mental health when there is absolutely nothing wrong with them, its become just a fashionable saying so for people like Cook who is suffering it can get downplayed.
  22. Sad news best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. As Tai has nothing left to acheive in speedway he should consider his health in the future and call time on his racing days, he has his music career to concentrate on enjoy that and family time.
