Be interesting to see the price structure after the SON and the FIM,s pricing.

Yes Manchester has always been associated with wet weather, what surprised me was the list of the wettest cities in the UK, number one Cardiff with a monthly average rainfall of 96mm and 12.4 days per month. Manchester? We came in at number 15.

Rew would definately have benefitted from another season at Ipswich, given the reported crowd figures at Birmingham i wonder how they can find the money to satisfy Rew,s demands? Given the club seems far from stable a strange decision to move there, is Tolley going to over commit financially?

We won the Premiership but i would have preferred to do it against a Full Ipswich side, i certainly didnt want to see the injuries to Doyley and Emil two great riders i have a lot of respect for i certainly dont want to see any riders injured, weve suffered in the past with injuries in play off finals and its so frustrating, win or lose we all want to see full teams going for it Ipswiches injury list this season was unreal and you have to feel for them.

I see your point but the throttle jockey track hasnt had any negative effect on Dan for example when it comes to tracks like Cardiff and Leicester. Not the "technical" tracks around these days like there used to be.

Well done Aces 2024 champions cant comment on racing as im away and have no facility to watch the meeting. Comiserations to lions, i really thought Fricke would have been well into double figures, but really feel he has now reached his level, not great over the two legs.

Probably looking for some sun,😎

Injuries have played a large part starting with Bjerre in 2005.

Sad news i remember him well RIP, im glad we are not facing that Leicester team.

Well remember that meeting Wilkie losing it and the police escort out of the stadium

You have the chance Monday mate, and i think its all to play for.

Wow the forecast down there and they talk about Manchester, we are tenth on the list of wettest cities in a recent survey, Leicester doesnt feature at all, appears to be having rainfall way above the norm at present. Hope it starts to clear up.
-
I think you have a good chance mate, you are better out of the starts and all it takes is for Fricke and Lawson to pop out in heat 1, get something out of heat 2 and you can get on a roll, your top 4 will all be better than at BV, for us we need to get out the starts better and hope our top 4 can take points off Leicester heat leaders as our reserves and Norick could struggle, we have to avoid last places, as you say difficult but certainly doable.

You know mate sometimes even through disappointment you just have to give the opposition credit and hope your own side turn it around. I think Leicester have every chance, Fricke will treble his score from Monday at least, Masters, Becker, and Douglas will be better, Leicester are better out the starts whats the betting Fricke and Lawson jump out in heat 1 and give you a good start? A follow up in heat 2 and its game on. I think the travesty this season is how Ipswich were robbed of half their team. If you didnt enjoy those mentioned races last night maybe speedways not for you? Ive no doubt if your lads had carried out those passes you would have viewed it as a good meeting? Anyway all to play for, im not counting any chickens and if Leicester turn it round i will be gutted but will be on here offering my congratulations. -

Yes Leicester are quicker out the gate and i expect to see a lot of that in the 2nd leg, Fricke and lawson have every chance of getting them off to a good start. -

Ive seen many a good meeting on a wet track, this season as well, and not just BV, lets hope its bone dry suns out and we get 15 heats of speedway out of the top drawer at your place, professional riders have to cope with all conditions will be interested to read your comments if Leicester pull it back and win it "on a wet track" -

You cant always have a dry track especially in the UK, having said that i remember the days when it was far wetter than nowadays and sawdust was put down, riders donned boilersuits and there were still good racing, yes bikes etc have changed but riders mentality is still key, wet or dry, big or small, slick or deep, they are all there to be ridden. The words of the great Ivan Mauger, hence his success. To knock the racing tonight just comes across as sour grapes, even in conditions as tonight there were better races than ive seen on other dry tracks including yours. If you pull it back and win i will be on here and congratulate your team not just fill the forum with said grapes. Funny how your reserve showed how to handle tricky conditions. -

Not trying to get a win thats what my team are going down for, im amazed at you giving up the ghost when theres another 15 heats to race, if you pull it off be interesting to read your posts after being so defeatist. -

Lets see how entertaining the racing is at your place, talk about sour grapes and your not even out of this yet, Fricke, Masters, Douglas, and Becker will be far better round your place, no way Brady or Dan will be able to come roaring round the boards down there. -

I always wondered why league 1 and 2 teams could take 20 - 30,000 fans to the Wembley play offs when their average home gate is between 3-4,000, 😁 -

I totally agree with you but there are people who view the league meetings as just qualifiers and just come out for the play offs, the business end of the season. -

Thanks, lets hope for two good meetings, past form Belle Vue at Leicester and Leicester at Belle Vue wont count for anything as we saw at Sheffield but the Lions did well at BV in June so can certainly ride well here. Always enjoyed trips to Leicester and mixing with the fans there, should be two close meetings that could go either way. -
I think Sheffield will comfortably go through tonight, they are well dialled in at home and i expect them to come out strongly from heat 1 and can see our lead rapidly diminishing. The Holders will be very hard to rein in and Pickering, Howarth, and Harris will be better than Monday, i think the Tigers reserves will outscore us too. We havent travelled well this season i think Dan will go well, Brady and Lidsey have struggled round Owlerton whilst Cook and Blodorn can be up or down. We really have to buck the trend in away form this year to have any chance.
