It’s Mrs 😉 I normally come to Oxford by myself but for championship matches. With the distance I travel (90 minutes each way) a £3 increase for entry and car park is bearable providing I remember to book the night before. it’s still cheaper for me by a long way to get the livestream!

I’d imagine the car park cost is because of the cost of the car park changing to the speedway, or the bus company increasing their hire cost. Cost of everything has gone up countrywide. Can’t blame promotion for that! This hits single travellers more when it’s basically £2 per person, where as four in a car would work out just 50p each

The plan for 850 homes was approved with conditions mainly concerning highways. The second plan included the speedway area, for a further 650 homes. That was refused. have to be honest that while I was watching, I did think it was going the other way by what certain councillors were saying. The Chair though was big time against it. He mentioned how he remembered going to the shows and speedway as both child and adult and how they’ve been basically destroyed. (Can’t remember the words he used, but that’s what he meant) He also said that he’s seen so many people in Peterborough say how there’s nothing to do - his pointing out that the showground is a venue where lots was always going on. They also said that the further 650 homes made this plot too big and They’d rather the homes be split across the wider city than all in one place. The final vote went 4 for and 6 against.

Made it to the car park twice this year for it to be rained off once I’ve been parked. Plus two cut short because of rain during the meeting. Not too bad if I was local but have two hours drive each way. I have my ticket from the cancelled match last time round, but can’t decide when to head over, how long to leave it - or if!

Definitely was Boughen winning. JJ held back Vissing to ensure the 5-1 for him and Ashton I was watching livestream, didn’t notice the result was given other than that

I’m pretty sure that when Danny got injured and knew he’d be out for a bit , that the Ipswich management said they’d got the guests signed up for the foreseeable to cover his absence

I have a two hour each way journey to Foxhall and twice this season I’ve been in the car park when they’ve called it off. Much as we all hate cancelled meetings, I’d much rather they were called off before lunchtime and save my fuel. Yes, my prepaid ticket will work at the next three fixtures but the fuel money is lost from those two trips. However, calling it off the day before is a bit much in this league. It’s a bit different if fans are travelling from Edinburgh or Glasgow or maybe Plymouth, maybe incurring an overnight stay - no one wants that expense for a cancelled meeting.

3-4 hour round trip for me, depending what the roadworks are like on the a14 today. Praying it stays nice It'll be nice but weird seeing four ex Panthers on the KL side but two more on the Ipswich side with Jordan and then Scotty guesting for Danny (another ex Panther!)

Jordan had travelled straight from Ipswich on Thursday to ride for GB in Pardubice. This was meant to be Saturday but postponed til Sunday. His suit had gone home to Norwich to be washed. With the delay to the meeting, he drove from Czechia straight up to Manchester and wasn’t able to collect his suit, hence the GB suit
