  1. Emil will be back next year. He seems the type to be loyal and I genuinely think he enjoys riding Ipswich, I also believe Emil and Doyle will want to ride together again. Heat 15 Belle Vue play offs for me will never be beaten, as they nod at each other over the line! Also, Torun may well be out of the play offs with a fully fit Gorzów. I’m going to the Gorzów home meeting on the 1st. If Torun are out then Emil has a free September calendar for Ipswich. Hoping he is fit of course !
  2. Last night showed, in my opinion, how much Emil was carrying the team whilst Doyle is out. I said before that we will now go on a losing streak until Birmingham when he isn’t in the team. Missing the top two riders in the league if not in all of speedway. No rider can cover for them. Emil is the only person who is capable of covering Doyle. Maybe it’s just me but that special sparkle about foxhall isn’t there without Emil and Doyle, heat 13/15 were so exciting.
  3. At this point with all the injuries we have, I’m just thankful we are in the play offs, I don’t expect much from the remaining four fixtures. It’s all about who will be fit in time for the cup and the play offs.
  4. Agreed, like I wrote anything can happen and it might not heal 100%. I think if any, Emil and Doyle would be the ones to push their limits to ride, especially for a cup match, i think with Emil. We might get 1 trophy, without Emil (and obvious Doyle) we won’t get any, but great season from the lads.
  5. I’ve got a Direct message from Emil that he will race in the play offs. That is direct from Emil and not from a secondary source. Obviously if things worsen then he wouldn’t, but as it stands, he is riding for us in September. I’m also going to the 1st Sept gorzow vs Torun second leg play offs which I suspect he will ride in.
  6. Emil is racing in the play offs for Ipswich, he has written that he will make the play offs and I’m sure Torun will push he to race on 23/25th race days for his play off against Gorzow.
  7. I get the comments about polish clubs shielding their assets but that remark falls short when nobody on here I’ve seen has yet to mention basso took part in the danish individual championship as well where he rode on the 7th August?
  8. What is the betting that Emil’s first return is back at the track he crashed at! I can’t see him risking anything in England. He won’t ride Torun this weekend as they are playoff bound anyway. Their play offs kick off back end of August so he will ride for that due to Poland pushing riders hard. So he won’t come back to England until September… first match. Cup final first leg, where? Sheffield!
  9. Amazing news that he came out of that one with no broken bones! I’m genuinely happy for the guy, forget speedway for one moment, it’s a guys life that was at risk! Emil wrote to me this morning that he plans to be back for the play offs!
  10. Jack has always been like that. He didn’t have anything to do with the accident though. Emil was determined to beat him and crashed. Although Jack looks bitter whenever someone beats him… even his own team! I’m sure bomber beat him and Jack barely acknowledged him when going back to the pits! I was happy when Vaculik got third in the Grand Prix last year!
  11. Thoughts with our man Emil. Be it the track or that he clipped the fence before the corner, one thing is for certain, he is a true rider and wasn’t backing out of fighting for the win for Ipswich. So so so so gutted for ipswich, the season and how it will now end… but more importantly Emil. If we don’t win anything this season so be it… I’m still super proud of having two of the most dedicated and loyal riders. Emil and Doyle. (Ps also was a great meeting until then).
  12. Heat 4 Jenkins showing king how to do it! Nice work. I’m worrying about Ellis and king for our chances to win.
  13. Speedway is the only sport you can get a rivals team member who just beat you to then ride for you in the next meeting haha. Kind of why the sport isn’t as strong as others, the loyalty isn’t / can’t be there due to riders needing to take rides for money. If you do get him good lucky just don’t bloody get him in an accident and mess up our double cup season haha
  14. Can we agree that Ellis coming from last to second on the line and riding the air fence was ride of the night ! Got the crowd up!
  15. Yup, the government gives funds to the local councils, they get a lot of money for sports. If a team is better in one sport EG. Poznan with football, then bigger percent of the pot goes to football. Vice versa for speedway. Interestingly Lublin football have been promoted to the top tier for next season and the city is forced to take money from their speedway club and even it out for football. So it looks like their start studded speedway team will split after the following season
  16. Nice to see a meeting with no guests or RR in place! Good luck to both teams from a witches fan
  17. I must admit I got into speedway two years ago. Due to getting together with my polish girlfriend and she knew more about Ipswich witches than I did! So I told my dad get his coat and we will go. And now we have been to home and away meetings of pretty much all available to us. I must admit it’s been a steep learning curve and I visit Stal Gorzów every month which is the home of my girlfriend. Polish speedway and atmosphere is something I’m envy of! I hope British speedway builds, we have the best riders in a while it appears in recent years. Ironically the first year I went we won the trophy since 98! As for Emil, he seems pretty loyal. I think he would stay due to not riding in speedway GP again in 2025. And something tells me he wants another full season with Doyley!

  19. Why though when they have 6 points all season? Speedway isn’t just a given to the home team. You have to earn it.
  20. Birmingham are bottom, what did people expect against a decent Belle Vue team. Brummies have good riders but clearly aren’t on it this year. 44-46 isn’t a score to be embarrassed about. They got beat by the better team on the night. Kurtz was on one, sometimes just have to take your hat off to the other team. I’m glad that Birmingham could return next year. More teams staying in speedway is better for the sport.
  21. Jenkins in the last heat is a weird one for me, I’d always push for Emil even if you’ve won, you want to make the bonus point as easy as possible. Good night for the lads though! Rew has turned a corner in England and in Poland!
  22. Second that! I hate the fact that Ipswich get a 5-1 and i jump from my seat and celebrate whilst other people note it down in their book Haha. Like i have said before, i live in Ipswich 3 weeks (and born in Ipswich) and work from Gorzow 1 week each month, Poland passion is unrivalled for speedway. Only bonus is i can get to the toilet and back in the break in Ipswich as there is no queue! I don't get the Football vs Speedway Fan thing, why not just embrace two sports if that's what you enjoy! Lastly: Not sure you can call people children tell them to go back to school and then in the same conversation call people morons... just an observation "Could the children please go back to school asap? I thought that speedway supporters were more mature than football moron fanatics. Time to show the adult side of your characters."
  23. As much as people will potentially disagree and also state there are few dates to choose from... i also think having Cardiff on the opening day of the premier league will halt a few fans going to it live, bearing in mind the time to travel to Cardiff for a lot of the country. IF people are forced to choose majority will stick with football unless its the die hard Speedway fans.
  24. Zach cook my bet, he said last night in his interview he hasn’t had much riding time and seemed pretty down beat about it. Felt for him, he done bloody good last night.
