  1. I rest my case. I had not even see that statement so thanks for quoting.
  2. So why are Lublin letting J. Holder and Wroclaw letting Bewley ride in our playoffs? The argument people make about it being because of money makes no sense. Or then all riders would be banned from our play offs every year.
  3. Emil signed a contract to ride for Ipswich so that would take priority. People really are missing the point here that it is due to him travelling that he isn’t riding not to do with Toruń.
  4. If Emil was fit to ride he would have. He couldn’t travel it’s that simple. Toruń pulling rank isn’t an argument. They don’t have the power to. Emil is contracted to race, this isn’t a guest booking. If you think Toruń can stop him then why doesn’t the following happen… Wroclaw stop Bewley, Lublin stop Holder, even Ostrów stop C Holder? Answers anyone?
  5. Some people like to moan for the sake of it! If Emil and Doyle were getting 13 each then kings would have been a great result for the same people I’m sure!
  6. Everyone is an expert and always wants more. Maybe be happy we have 8 point lead to take to Leicester because two weeks ago everyone would have bitten your hand off for it.
  7. Heat 15 with guests, as well as they did, was still bitter sweet. Doyle and Emil 13 / 15 just can’t be replaced. But we are in with a chance! First win in 8. Up the witches.
  8. You can’t sell it as a team sport though. Guests are unheard of in Poland and you can’t get attached to a team where your riders could guest for another team and help them go above his ‘contracted’ team. I don’t blame the riders because, as people seem to forgot, the reason why British league will never get back to the same level, is and always will be, MONEY. Until you get crazy investment from somewhere then Phil Morris can try all he wants, but you’ll never get to a top level where people don’t complain about something. Stadiums not owned by the clubs and housing estates taking priority over them, riders guesting, Eurosport being crap at hosting, and so on and so on, we just need to enjoy the sport whilst we still have it! People in the masses just aren’t interested in it and as sad as that sounds, that’s how it is.
  9. Not at all. When I saw his crash I wrote him off for the season and also wrote our season off in my head so anything right now in terms of Ipswich season is a bonus. He has been amazing for Ipswich so I haven’t got any bad feeling in this situation and wish him all the best with Toruń and whatever his future holds
  10. Emil gave an interview with canal + a few hours ago. Didn’t mention coming back to England although the question “why do you ride in England when you don’t need to” was asked. He replied about how much he learnt on English tracks, more telling, he said after the race today he feels 100% fit with no soreness at all. Hmmm, if he doesn’t get banned maybe back for Thursday? Or the season is over for him in England, only he will really know.
  11. I was watching SGP last night and praying kvech didn’t get caught up in an accident when lindgren (I think) almost lost it in last place.
  12. Emil done the same this year. Won all races and the super heat. I think against Oxford but maybe someone can correct me?
  13. I think any Ipswich fan isn’t bothered anymore about this. 1. They are just waiting for the season to finish. 2. They (or maybe just me) are fed up of racing Sheffield all the time I’m glad we got Leicester. Although I totally agree that rules shouldn’t be broken so I am contradicting myself! The sport is broken in Britain full stop. Until we get a massive investment of money into the sport we will just be ‘lucky’ to have speedway. Thats how I see it anyway. Happy for people to disagree… that’s what a forum is for
  14. Same exact team 1-7 for Ipswich if that’s possible with the averages. If Doyle and Emil were in the team all season no one would moan about king and we would have done the double.
  15. Personally I think Emil wants to ride for Toruń and Ipswich. But it wouldn’t surprise me if the Ipswich management have kind of said just don’t worry this year and just lets him focus on Toruń and maybe get him to promise to sign for next season. (Ok the last part is more of my hopes!)
  16. And only last week realised her being over here this weekend means she misses the home tie against Wroclaw in Gorzów for polish semi finals so it was a disaster decision from me !!!!
  17. I think a lot of people stayed away last night fearing a demolishing job. I only went because stupidly I bought flights for my girlfriend to come for a long weekend and watch both home meetings before Emil got injured ! Hoping the crowd improves for Monday as it could be a good match up and maybe last home meeting of the season!
  18. Emil isn’t riding next week, he is out of the semis but would come back for the final, if we get through. The team announced for Monday night could do a job on Leicester, presuming our actually team turns up like last night. Although the second leg is anyways guess… Lynn run them good away last night though !
  19. On a positive note. It was actually a decent meeting to go and watch, Ellis not making gates but had to make some good moves. Rew was flying and that’s a massive positive. The fans together jokingly counting down from 10-0 for the failure of a bike. It wasn’t actually a down beat atmosphere but quite good. I think everyone went knowing we lost but just went to support anyway.
  20. Decent team. Kvech has rode well against Leicester for Lynn. Boughen Is a decent replacement for Jenkins. Ride like that night and we could win a match finally !!
  21. People keep going on about putting too much into just two riders (Doyle and Emil). Ok so take these out of your teams: fricke / lawson j. Holder / pickering kurtz / bewley and we will see how many trophies you win this year Sheffield congratulations on winning and you can really only beat the team in front. You deserved it over two legs. Without sounding bitter I do wonder if even just having Emil in the team we would have run super close to winning both compitions. But that’s ifs or buts I guess and this is speedway!
  22. Randomly thought I’d watch on Oxford TV their semi final tonight. King and Jenkins both crashed and hope they’re ok! 🤕 oh dear Ipswich it isn’t our year is it !
