  1. Now I would say it’s more likely than ever that the class of 24 are back for 25. Doyle is always going to sign of Ipswich, he likes every post on witches instagram and lives in an easy travelling distance it just makes sense for him, much like Emil, they are both wanting to win the league with Ipswich. Brennan or rew, either i don’t mind, although rew was doing amazing last year and to invest time and effort into someone for them to go to another team potentially and prosper is slightly disappointing.
  2. His comments read that everyone wanted to come back, but Dan’s yesterday hinting that no everyone is coming back. Tomorrow will be an interesting one… maybe Doyle, and keep the interest in thinking who is being changed for Monday morning? They never announce over the weekend so it’ll be 6 by Friday. My bet is Ellis makes way for Brennan as he was the latest edition.
  3. One word. Loyalty! Got to love and respect Emil for what he has given to Ipswich, on and off the track. Doyle must love riding with him, looking over his shoulder or following him over the line knowing they’ve done it again. For me, probably biased but, line Emil and a Doyle up against any other top two and I’m confident we come out better 9/10!
  4. There won’t be any question marks. Emil will ride for both clubs and Toruń have no issue with Emil riding for Ipswich.
  5. Why would you throw a chance at winning the title purely for the chance of having the same team next year? Riders might even decide they don’t want to come back. If you throw the matches to reduce your averages in this years final and then next year fricke has a moment like Doyle and is out all year that would be two seasons without a medal for sure, at least try and beat what’s in front of you.
  6. I don’t understand sorry! Anders is on way more that 400,000 zł ? Forgive my ignorance!
  7. Already noises that their fierce rivals falubaz are trying to snap up Anders. I can’t see him going to the dark side! He is Gorzów through and through.
  8. Nothing to do with that. It’s the president who everyone hates, the internal audit found losses of 10 million zloty due to poor and underhand going ons, people in Gorzów hated the trainer too and his daughter who got a high paid position for doing nothing. President cancelled Woźniak contract one year early. They have basically got new people in to clean up but need 4.5m by 31st October or won’t get a Ekstraliga License and will be demoted to national league and with that basically go into liquidation. Sorry site for the most decorated polish club in its history of speedway! Fundraising is currently sitting at about 135,000zł in 4 hours.
  9. Anyone thinking some talks are in place for Vaculik!? News over here is that stal need to find 5 million zloty before end of month to retain their Ekstraliga status next year after the internal audit found finance debt of 10 million. Talks are that high potential of Vaculik being cut to save money and give to the debt to retain the licence for 2025 or face demotion to national league / liquidation. All being said, he may well end up at another Ekstraliga side but wonder if any promotors are sniffing around already from Britain!
  10. So now thats : Heat 2 : 5-1 Heat 13 : 5-1 Heat 15 : 5-1 Lovely ol’ job !!!
  11. I may be deluded but genuinely I think Emil feels like he has unfinished business and actually wants to win the title with Ipswich. Every rider states how ‘professional’ the club is and on top of that, when others weren’t prepared, Ipswich fought hard to get him a VISA. I think just as a person he is very loyal. Of course I could be totally wrong!
  12. Did I not read over the last few days that Croatia want to have them ride under their watch? 😅
  13. Gorzów has the best speedway stadium out of the above without a doubt, hotels and city centre is busy over GP weekend. Normally looking at 30/34 degree heat. Stadium is easy to access from the city centre and no public transport needed as everyone walks. It holds very similar to Toruń capacity and atmosphere with the stadium roof entirely going around is great too. I’m sure whatever you choose will be great! Although PZM are furious at the moment, Gorzów, Wrocław and Warsaw are all threatening to pull out of next year SGP due to the lack of Polish riders and the choice of the wild cards! Poland produces the most amount of income to the SGP, in which they are not happy with the least amount of polish riders for a long time in an SGP.
  14. Apparently they will only run two meetings on a Thursday in Poland?
  15. It’s official, no Emil in the SGP. Do we think this will affect him signing for next season?
  16. That’s about as optimistic as Man U winning anything this season
  17. Nice to see an actual atmosphere in a speedway stadium 🏆 congrats Aces. You done what was needed. The Sheffield win pretty much clinched the trophy!
  18. It depends on how much British speedway really wants to promote and market itself. Too many people I speak to who don’t know much about speedway don’t even know the scoring system or what colour hats means what. It needs to be reset and pushed showing the sport in a new light. In an era where people want everything instant (TikTok etc) then speedway should hold its own as it’s fast paced. Apart from when Eurosport turn up obviously
  19. That’s frustrating as well, Ipswich is £23 a meeting. Average attendance maybe 1,200? = £27,600 (I know they get other income with food / sponsers etc but just focus gate tickets) so if they lowered it to £10 and got 2,800 = £28,000 it could work. do you think they dare not take the risk of getting 2,800 in the gates even though more people would come for £10?
  20. Are the going out of business because they can’t compete though? Or is it the fact Birmingham clearly don’t have a bigger fan base than say the witches. If Birmingham won the league last year, do you think that will double / triple, their crowds this year? Probably ask people in Birmingham what speedway is and they won’t know. That’s the problem, nothing about being competitive. The sport doesn’t have any promotion be it in their own cities or national TV. Not even all speedway fans know about BSN or local clubs having live streams.
  21. So if he comes top four in each meeting he would generate roughly £100,000+. That’s a decent amount to be taken away just because of politics. Plus additional sponsorship etc. Obviously Poland pays the highest but SGP is the next best financial benefit for a top speedway rider. It may be meaningless to you and yes it’s the sport they choose but it still doesn’t make the statement untrue does it.
  22. He started super good for Stal and for the SGP for sure! Everyone thought this was his season to kick on but for one reason or another it hasn’t worked. Magic had a year with Hancock and failed, got released from SGP and didn’t have the best of years. This year when he let Hancock go he has done so much better, now it’s Wozniak’s turn to have a torrid time under Hancock and he has taken a lot of money from magic and Wozniak, it’s a shame really!
  23. Syzmon at the moment is having a torrid time in GP and Ekstraliga. I hope his luck changes, he is scoring about 3/4 points a meeting for Stal and I was at the meeting with Torun yesterday and again he had a nightmare. I think it’s more physiological at the moment, he is a good rider but very emotional too, things with his dad this season and the pressure he is under must be hard. Hancock has been a disaster for him. Now the Stal president said they will terminate his contract potentially this season, but only 1 day before Torun Grand Prix he was told his contract is secured for next year. He must be struggling. I feel for him, he is one of the really good genuine guys of the sport. I hope he comes to England and really hits the ground running! Although I think he will stay in Scandinavia.
