Totally agree that Torun have come out and denied that he must pay any additional money as they class all other leagues apart from Poland as ‘training’. If you didn’t know the exact same thing happened with Doyle a few years back where it wasn’t official and the media told the team before the rider so it will happen I’m sure and that also shows the fact of media knowing more than the teams in certain situations. It’s also illegal to give links of live stream matches. Just saying…

Yeah but Doyle has signed for Częstochowa so it will be an interesting season for sure! Both Pawlicki brothers are also leaving Falubaz it has been understood.

Or the fact Richie and Chris realise the season is over and said to him it’s not worth pushing yourself if you aren’t ready and just focus on play offs and if you’re good enough Thursday then race. -
Ipswich vs Birmingham Thursday 29th Aug

Rew rode last night for Leszno under 24s and got 4 wins from 5 races so hopefully he is now fully recovered ! -
Well Doyle has been asked to give back £75,000 to grudziądz as he missed all season and now Torun asked Emil to give back money as he isn’t featuring in the play offs for them. So poland are renowned for asking for their money back.

Harris and Emil for play offs, unless Harris guests for Sheffield instead of Tai. Cup will be Harris and Nichols at home. -

Belle Vue V Sheffield - Mon 26th @ noon

Yes but that’s because they aren’t guesting? They are part of a team that has officially got into the play offs, so contractually they have to represent their official team, not from teams who failed to qualify but still want to participate. -

I heard lindgren and Janowski were not allowed to be released by Wroclow and Lublin due to Poland play off push? Harris and Nichols I would have guessed at home? - also, Emil is trying to be ready. -

How much BS is that!! Three weeks ago, the Sheffield vs Ipswich cup final next Monday was on BSN. Now Eurosport have kings Lynn vs Leicester (nothing match) so BSN cannot live stream at the same time. -

Sheffield must be licking their lips for next week and the fact they will take the first trophy of the season that’s available! I wonder if other fans genuinely feel like it’s a shame we don’t have Emil and Doyle so everyone can see some amazing racing and feeling like you’ve beaten our full team, tai and holder, Kurtz and Bewley, fricke and Lawson… if these were all missing I’d feel slightly deflated beating that team knowing it isn’t really their team. But, you can only beat what’s in front of you and this is speedway so I’m not sorry for myself! Haha -

Funniest thing is that he even corrected himself also on the BS podcast and said he got it all wrong and it’s 1 v 4 and 2 v 3. -

Just watched him race completely fine in the vs Lublin play off match! A lot of heavy crashes in that meeting! -
Ipswich v Belle Vue August 22nd

Although I’ve only come into the sport a few years back and never claim to know that much about it, I still feel like going to each home meeting is worth it. I live in Ipswich so I guess I don’t have to travel far but the team try and they are in the final and the play offs so I believe showing some support is always key and back the team. They have given us a great year so far even with injuries. To not back them now seems disappointing, win or lose it doesn’t matter. The sport needs building for sure, but everyone can be part of it. -

Emil will be back next year. He seems the type to be loyal and I genuinely think he enjoys riding Ipswich, I also believe Emil and Doyle will want to ride together again. Heat 15 Belle Vue play offs for me will never be beaten, as they nod at each other over the line! Also, Torun may well be out of the play offs with a fully fit Gorzów. I’m going to the Gorzów home meeting on the 1st. If Torun are out then Emil has a free September calendar for Ipswich. Hoping he is fit of course ! -
Ipswich vs Sheffield 19/8/24
ShanoXtra replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Last night showed, in my opinion, how much Emil was carrying the team whilst Doyle is out. I said before that we will now go on a losing streak until Birmingham when he isn’t in the team. Missing the top two riders in the league if not in all of speedway. No rider can cover for them. Emil is the only person who is capable of covering Doyle. Maybe it’s just me but that special sparkle about foxhall isn’t there without Emil and Doyle, heat 13/15 were so exciting. -

At this point with all the injuries we have, I’m just thankful we are in the play offs, I don’t expect much from the remaining four fixtures. It’s all about who will be fit in time for the cup and the play offs. -

Agreed, like I wrote anything can happen and it might not heal 100%. I think if any, Emil and Doyle would be the ones to push their limits to ride, especially for a cup match, i think with Emil. We might get 1 trophy, without Emil (and obvious Doyle) we won’t get any, but great season from the lads. -

I’ve got a Direct message from Emil that he will race in the play offs. That is direct from Emil and not from a secondary source. Obviously if things worsen then he wouldn’t, but as it stands, he is riding for us in September. I’m also going to the 1st Sept gorzow vs Torun second leg play offs which I suspect he will ride in. -

Emil is racing in the play offs for Ipswich, he has written that he will make the play offs and I’m sure Torun will push he to race on 23/25th race days for his play off against Gorzow. -
I get the comments about polish clubs shielding their assets but that remark falls short when nobody on here I’ve seen has yet to mention basso took part in the danish individual championship as well where he rode on the 7th August?

ShanoXtra replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What is the betting that Emil’s first return is back at the track he crashed at! I can’t see him risking anything in England. He won’t ride Torun this weekend as they are playoff bound anyway. Their play offs kick off back end of August so he will ride for that due to Poland pushing riders hard. So he won’t come back to England until September… first match. Cup final first leg, where? Sheffield! -

Amazing news that he came out of that one with no broken bones! I’m genuinely happy for the guy, forget speedway for one moment, it’s a guys life that was at risk! Emil wrote to me this morning that he plans to be back for the play offs!
