  1. Yup, the government gives funds to the local councils, they get a lot of money for sports. If a team is better in one sport EG. Poznan with football, then bigger percent of the pot goes to football. Vice versa for speedway. Interestingly Lublin football have been promoted to the top tier for next season and the city is forced to take money from their speedway club and even it out for football. So it looks like their start studded speedway team will split after the following season
  2. Nice to see a meeting with no guests or RR in place! Good luck to both teams from a witches fan
  3. I must admit I got into speedway two years ago. Due to getting together with my polish girlfriend and she knew more about Ipswich witches than I did! So I told my dad get his coat and we will go. And now we have been to home and away meetings of pretty much all available to us. I must admit it’s been a steep learning curve and I visit Stal Gorzów every month which is the home of my girlfriend. Polish speedway and atmosphere is something I’m envy of! I hope British speedway builds, we have the best riders in a while it appears in recent years. Ironically the first year I went we won the trophy since 98! As for Emil, he seems pretty loyal. I think he would stay due to not riding in speedway GP again in 2025. And something tells me he wants another full season with Doyley!

  5. Why though when they have 6 points all season? Speedway isn’t just a given to the home team. You have to earn it.
  6. Birmingham are bottom, what did people expect against a decent Belle Vue team. Brummies have good riders but clearly aren’t on it this year. 44-46 isn’t a score to be embarrassed about. They got beat by the better team on the night. Kurtz was on one, sometimes just have to take your hat off to the other team. I’m glad that Birmingham could return next year. More teams staying in speedway is better for the sport.
  7. Jenkins in the last heat is a weird one for me, I’d always push for Emil even if you’ve won, you want to make the bonus point as easy as possible. Good night for the lads though! Rew has turned a corner in England and in Poland!
  8. Second that! I hate the fact that Ipswich get a 5-1 and i jump from my seat and celebrate whilst other people note it down in their book Haha. Like i have said before, i live in Ipswich 3 weeks (and born in Ipswich) and work from Gorzow 1 week each month, Poland passion is unrivalled for speedway. Only bonus is i can get to the toilet and back in the break in Ipswich as there is no queue! I don't get the Football vs Speedway Fan thing, why not just embrace two sports if that's what you enjoy! Lastly: Not sure you can call people children tell them to go back to school and then in the same conversation call people morons... just an observation "Could the children please go back to school asap? I thought that speedway supporters were more mature than football moron fanatics. Time to show the adult side of your characters."
  9. As much as people will potentially disagree and also state there are few dates to choose from... i also think having Cardiff on the opening day of the premier league will halt a few fans going to it live, bearing in mind the time to travel to Cardiff for a lot of the country. IF people are forced to choose majority will stick with football unless its the die hard Speedway fans.
  10. Zach cook my bet, he said last night in his interview he hasn’t had much riding time and seemed pretty down beat about it. Felt for him, he done bloody good last night.
  11. I can't personally see Scotty riding for Kings Lynn. If he was available i would assume Ipswich would have snapped him up.
  12. Pawlicki looked absolutely fine when i watched him on Sunday in Poland. He and his brother were the stand out riders of the match and pushed all the way. Never came off or missed a heat so i was shocked to see he didn't attend last night. Maybe the fact they lost the Derby played a part!
  13. It was all streamed live on Lions TV £12.99… as do Oxford for all of their home meetings and sometimes Birmingham. It’s a shame all the teams don’t have their own live stream so we could see them just in case we can’t be there!
  14. Not panic stations yet for sure, but, does anyone else feel the tide is slowly turning? Hawkins said at Belle Vue that everyone got their bad race out the way at the same time, last night was another one for three of the guys. Feels like Belle Vue, Oxford and Leicester have all been extremely hard meetings recently and Emil is really holding it together, granted we’ve been on the road. But I have a feeling Sheffield are in prime position for the double this season and now we are seeing the affects of missing Doyley! I hope I’m wrong! Also, it’s a massive shame our home meeting at Belle Vue got cancelled for “rain” as it could have been a home win and got the riders better prepared for last night. Still a way to go though and we are top so staying positive !
  15. Any idea of the TV coverage for the second half of the season?
  16. Bad night. Scott, king and Ellis didn’t perform at all. Feel sorry for Emil carrying the team and it isn’t the first time (Oxford). Positives is that Rew done well. That’s the only positive.
  17. Brilliant news and total support for The Bees and for speedway in general! Good luck from a witches fan!
  18. Yeah that’s true! There isn’t a summer in England nowadays anyway! Yes I’m gutted she would have loved to seen Ipswich as a polish fan and only seeing Ipswich on TV. SoN was actually great (maybe as we won) although she didn’t appreciate the Zmarzlik DQ! She was also shocked about the empty temp stand but as soon as I told her it was £80 a seat she soon realised why. Back to Ipswich, it’s a shame tonight isn’t on and maybe the TV may look at this again negatively due to the fact they must fill a spot now and can’t guarantee TV scheduling, who knows what the future holds for this sport but I hope a bright one. I would however be frustrated as a forgeign rider if I flew over to see so many meetings cancelled and getting straight back on the plane home! Must make riders who fly from Poland think twice about signing for a season?
  19. Couldn’t agree more! A sport that is already slowly dying doesn’t need things to happen like this. It is a shame that the sport has to rely on weather. The weather in England is shocking quite frankly, my girlfriend flew over this weekend for the SoN and I told her to stay and we will watch Ipswich vs Belle Vue, (we drove from Ipswich to Manchester) she stayed and flies tomorrow. The promoters and TV can’t predict weather, granted, but it was an early call which was bad. It never said rain all over the 19:30-21:30 period on the weather map. I guess moral of the story is don’t book a flight for English speedway and rely on English weather haha! Dammit !!
  20. You need to scroll down to the weather map and use the quarterly time increments to scroll and follow the flight path of the weather. That hourly weather forecast is just a generally weather assumption.
  21. Surprised it’s been called! Looking at Met weather it’s changed to zero rain until 21:30. I live in Ipswich so it’ll be interesting to see what the weather turns out to be!
  22. Rain likely to hit hard for an hour between 16:00-17:00 and then missing Ipswich just about until 22:00… latest from the Met.
  23. My guess is because he rides tomorrow night at SoN. If he came to scope the British tracks out whilst over I think we all know his decision now after that weather !
