  1. They need to add in relegation imo. I know, I know, teams in champ can’t afford the jump but what other sport can pick and choose what league they are in? Even this sports doesn’t do it apart from British speedway. If Poole made the jump, how big would the financial implications be? That’s a genuine question if anyone knows, I’m not being sarcastic!
  2. Emil and Doyle scoring 4 points from two heats was something Leicester needed to capitalise on.
  3. Again… whole team brining in points and no one being a passenger! Good strong away win! Certainly more enjoyable than last time we were at Leicester!
  4. Worst decision. You want people to pay to see the best, the crowd levels are due to the amazing teams, Belle Vue should have been allowed Ben cook back and let the teams build to be amazing. Not all average. Raise the points, some of the lower teams can’t get decent riders because of the promotion or money, so why would a GP rider from another good team want to go to them.
  5. TO WATCH: Live Stream: Leicester Lions TV - Speedway Streaming Register and sign in, click on the Lions vs Witches tab and pay £12. Full meeting and live stream starts 10 mins before tapes up.
  6. I think the stumbling blocks could be Becker and Douglas beating King and Ellis. Although, Thompson and Jenkins will back the guys up with good points and Doyle and Emil shouldn't be as bad as at Birmingham. Close match and good to watch but Witches to win by 6 or 8.
  7. He always looks and sounds miserable. Although he is riding out of his skin in this meeting! Surprised the crowd is so poor. I know it was weather pushing it from yesterday to today but still.
  8. Better on paper? That insinuates they aren’t good in reality, they are just better for a fact, not on paper. Look at the table! Walked over Belle Vue home and away, everyone assumed that would be a good match up and they got completely done. I do think Magic should have been allowed a re-run from when he fell on the first bend. The meeting didn’t have much riding on it at that point and another 5-1 to Ipswich seemed slightly underwhelming against only gusts.
  9. How this forum shows the bitterness of other teams is hilarious 😆 Ipswich built to the limit of points. We would have walked it last year as well and even other team managers admit that. Crowds are brilliant. Atmosphere outstanding. Last year the track was “awful” and now it’s a fair playing field with a better track we win by bigger margins! Lastly, people stop saying it’s gate and go. Ellis done a stunning outside overtake and Thompson done the best cut back from last to second on the first bend. It’s painful I know… but just admit teams aren’t up to it at foxhall. Oh sorry we’ve beaten everyone away as well
  10. If no injuries or bike issues, contrary to what I’ve said before about 60+ being not every week… I think looking at the line ups this could be high 50s / low 60s for Witches
  11. Are you ok? Any sportsperson can get complacent when constantly winning and therefore think they can turn up and just win. All teams have said we are the strongest so that can bring complacency in itself, I was not referencing what you wrote at all. I haven’t even said we are complacent, I simply stated it can creep in at any point. You show your knowledge of sports by the last post about if one team beats one, and we’ve beaten the first team, then we will easily win, sport isn’t that simple
  12. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see it every week! I just think people will have off nights, it’s hard to keep constant 5-1s, teams will get better as the season goes. We have a strong, strong team, I just think we need to keep realistic and stop thinking we are going to batter everyone, complacency can kick in when you turn up thinking no you’ve already won.
