Having been looking forward to a Dad and his 2 lads weekend at the Grand Prix Round 2 in Warsaw we had brilliant day watching some excellent racing and the whole day went smoothly and as planned.
Our flight home Sunday morning was an early one , we met and had photographs taken with Chris and Jack Holder , we met Jason Doyle and his pit crew all at the Airport which was a good start to our trip home. We had unallocated seats on the plane back to the UK and expected to be separated which was fine ….. the boys boarded as I followed on after only to go and find my youngest lad sitting next to the current leader , the one and only Jason Doyle with Simon Lambert sitting in front. As you can imagine my lad had the biggest cheesiest grin ever to be seen !
Both Jason and Simon chatted pretty much most of the flight home sharing stories and offering some banter. Jason also took a keen interest in my lads Kart racing and was more than willing to look at some photos and ask about the sport which made my lads days. To think Jason had been to work only a few hours before and come away winning the Grand Prix and still take time to talk and show interest in my lad is a day we will never forget.
We now look forward to our next trip to watch Round 8 in Wroclaw only this time we’ll be joined by her indoors so I’m guessing they’ll be a bit of shopping and sight seeing involved !
