Didn’t manage to get to this, was there anything of interest to come from this at all? -
You would like to think that following this rejection Brandon estates would allow speedway back over a set period of time, thus to help their own cause in finally getting rid of Coventry, as agreeing Coventry to return to action and operate to start making money with the work going in to look for somewhere.

Signing Douglas is possibly the stand out signing in my opinion for Leicester. Fricke not having a place in GP does that benefit Leicester as he may decide to go for it in order to get his place back? Not sold on kemp. However what will happen is stability unlike last season.

The content that I have seen put out is poor, the free advertising tool that is social media isn’t great they could do so much more and you don’t have to be a marketing specialist to know how to promote on something like Instagram/ Twitter for example to reach a different/new market. I don’t know the Birmingham management set up but surely if the people working for Nigel Tolley aren’t up to pulling in new money you change the people, that’s how the profitable businesses work.

Congratulations hopefully the start of something special and Coventry be a catalyst for those clubs who have fell by the wayside!
-
Has he indicated that to Birmingham Management surely at those figures they would of jumped at the chance?
-
Vaculik would be a good signing certainly be ahead of most in the league, but does it bring in the people which is what a big signing needs to do. Zmarzlik being mentioned I don’t think there’s any chance unless someone at Brum wins the lottery.

What’s the capacity any ideas? I for one am certainly looking forward to it

You’d think that clubs would be all over their communication with fans especially when it comes to money, revenue etc. If in my line of work I failed to respond I’d be thrown over the coals or even worst potentially loose a client. I have experienced a similar issues at my club. I understand that a lot of the roles at the clubs are held by volunteers but surely they have regular access to emails or an automatic response on when to expect a reply.

No idea I’m afraid nothing stated on the website!

It’s great that Oxford are really going for it, really trying to push it at all levels if only more top clubs had the same ambition.

Birmingham to blow everyone out the water Zmarzik and Lindgren announcement at press and practise to add a bit of drama!

You often wonder in a world were money is a driving factor especially in sport, that the current speedway board don’t come up with innovative ways of promoting speedway. There are multiple ways of growing the sport especially when it comes to a National team. Can you imagine for example, a season starter of GB v Poland and a summer against the Aussies! The big names riding in the UK on a weekend I’m sure would pack out a place. Make it accessible for the kids. Everyone would benefit. I really think this year more than any needs to see a real shift change in all aspects, sure we will see some with Phil at the helm! -
Rory’s average dropped I think towards the end of last season was certainly racing at 4 on away futures for wolves so would of been good signing for Brum at 4, with Zack and Leon at 6 and 7. If Rory can stay fit as he a few crashes which seemed to hamper him would be a positive signing. You’ve then got four ex wolves riders that got into the playoffs.

So potentially why no decision has been made? The club may feel the longer they leave it the better deal they may get financially as a rider may take less money to sign at such a late stage as if there’s no deal on the table for a rider then there left with zero?
-
What’s the cost of a top rider for a season? I’m sure if they are talking to 6 they all must be wanting similar sums of money?
-
Didn’t he pull a few wheelies around his first couple of heats at the Pairs in Oxford for fun? Wouldn’t bother after that display

Think he spelt see wrong…. -
Clever move, the club seem to be one step ahead of most in trying to improve the club and sport as a whole, almost a indirect push for others to push themselves forward out of the dark ages.
-
Issue is that there needs to be better promotion of the club in the modern era. Maybe the club look at getting someone in fresh who can tap into a different market, birminghams a huge city no reason why they can get 1500 on a regular basis.

Will the management pull out a Xmas surprise and confirm two big hitters as a xmas present to brummie fans? I thought they made a solid start with Flint and Stevie Worrall but certainly a lot of concern with recent events.
-
I have no clue about Lampart so I can’t comment but who’s making these signings is this a Sam and Chris signing and he turns out to be a really good dark horse? Need two big hitters at 1 and 5 and the management are hoping that Leon and Zack improve massively from their performances last season im sure that’s what was looked at when signing them.

This time of year a lot of the Non UK Riders have returned home so for example a lot of the Aussies are back home and doing meetings in Aus. I guess the cost also for European riders to come for one event wouldn’t be worthwhile unless big money is on offer - it would be great to have a event during this period but don’t think it’s viable anymore.
