  1. Sheffield for me on this one too strong, Holder and Woffy will want to get in some form for the weekend, still think Belle Vue have a lot more to do to win away from home.
  2. Honest and open interview and held his hands up. It does make me wonder now this interview has been released if certain promoters are looking at the feedback on this to see if his worth a punt.
  3. Harris v Nicholls is always going to be good never to be missed both still going at it and very well respected by all. Out of interest how are Oxford doing with the crowds with all three teams racing, has the spires being in the Prem pulled the fans away from attending cheetahs and chargers?
  4. Really hope cook does well for Oxford a lot of negative comments have been written in this forum over time. His going well for workington hopefully bring some form into the Premiership and get back to a standard seen before. I’m sure if it goes well with Oxford during the course of the season he will get plenty of guess bookings with injuries etc
  5. Agreed will also give him a bit of confidence if he gets a few wins under his belt to go back to either 1 or 5
  6. I think what you have to take from it that as a neutral you watched some good racing and it was close until the end which is only a good thing for the sport especially to those watching for the first time, the worst thing that could of happened was Birmingham being soundly beaten and it being follow the leader. Take it for what it was, this isn’t the glitz and glam of poland. Hopefully now with Birmingham having their full 1-7 and getting more track time they won’t be the whipping boys.
  7. I saw Milik score well in Poland and for the sake of Birmingham and the league you hope that he can do a lot better for Birmingham. I do believe the team will be a lot better on their next fixture I’m sure Sam will have given them a rocket after monday. As a former world champion he won’t want his reputation to be tarnished by Birmingham having a poor season.
  8. Lampart definitely worth keeping think he will be fine in the engine room. The obvious change is Milik but I’m not sure what the options are or if Birmingham can afford to temp a strong number 1 rider.
  9. I very much doubt any club would pick him up. There is certainly no benefit to having him, there is certainly no good/bad PR stunt here as he is no “celebrity” or star name. Doesn’t pull in the crowds, enjoyed at times watching him race for Coventry certainly on the edge but I enjoyed that about him but that’s the only thing!
  10. Shame to see such early changes especially with Oxford doing relatively well so far this season. I think this is just the start of a merry go round for teams like Oxford, Kings Lynn, Birmingham and possibly Leicester as they did last season. I would say the finances of success are far more lucrative than previous seasons and therefore promotors will chop far quicker than before.
  11. Ipswich win for me at present strongest team in the league and everyone will struggle to beat them at foxhall.
  12. Ipswich win for me. Emil, Doyle, Ellis and Thompson scoring well in this one.
  13. Any further information on the training track at Leicester? How’s it going, who’s benefiting from it?
  14. I’ve seen them chipping in or at least trying to which is great to see I very much doubt any other riders do this maybe the young kids. Might be jumping the gun with this but if this season is relatively successful do they move up next year? There has been really positive stories since coming back so do they keep pushing on?
  15. Those that have lost clubs never loose hope it may take years to get it back it may never come back but, Support the sport we lost our club many years ago and since have travelled all over the Uk to watch various teams and events, since we lost ours we started a family and the sport has gained a couple of supports! Don’t give up on it
  16. Just out of interest and may be a silly question but why does Riss name keep popping up to replace any rider than is expected to leave Birmingham?
  17. It was a shame that no body really mentioned some of the great heats we saw last season such as the belle vue v Ipswich heat in the semi finals, the comeback by Sheffield in the final or some of the really good overtakes throughout the season, that’s what’s going to attract more fans and also get some positive attention. Yes social media does a have “click bait” obsession with stuff like fighting and that’s all well and good but not sure that’s going to bring more fans in, but speedway could certainly with the right content get more eyes on site with the overtaking, the crashes etc. However have to say much better presentation than I’ve seen before cant help but think with better personnel and financial support Phil will do greater things.
  18. Ipswich win. Did they look as good as the scores suggest?
  19. Not there watching this but anyone have any updates on the teams how they look etc
  20. The truth is no one will ever know. I have confidence that Phil Morris is in charge and every faith that the money generated will be used in the best way from his point of view. If a certain percentage is filtered down to the clubs which I’m sure it will, then it’s anyones guess. I’d like to think that Phil would put a number of caveats in on how that money is spent by the clubs so it’s not wasted or pocketed.
  21. I’m going Sheffield with this one although Oxford I think will be solid at home I think Sheffield will come out firing straight away certainly be difficult to beat.
  22. Birmingham pushed and put a good fight up. Bomber strong for Oxford. Good start to the season.
  23. With the season up and coming I’m gutted I won’t be attending the showground it’s actually just hit home even though not a Peterborough supporter! It’s brought me and my family so many happy speedway memories over the years and wishing one day we will be attending Peterborough again in the future.
  24. Based on those words he might as well sell up now and give the club to people who are are actually going to fight to improve the club. Looking at it there’s actually a lot of improve that can be made with small changes. If someone with drive and ambition came in (similar to Leicester/ Workington) you’d see a world of difference.
