King's Lynn v Oxford 17/06/24
1stbender replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Lynn good tonight solid all over and kept chipping away at the points. I thought Oxford would of taken this but certainly not as strong as they were at the start of season. Hope the crowd is better next time for Lynn starting to go well at home now hopefully push on for them. -
Barker crashed on Tuesday and believe it was a bad one but can’t find an update on it? Does anyone know if his ok?

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
1stbender replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Until British speedway is stronger in every department than Poland we have no chance of clubs being able to push back any blocks the polish put on riders. Unfortunately we are so far behind them that it’s not viable to start the fight. -
And we all see it coming! Drew comes back to haunt Leicester and gives lynn the win.

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

Kvech is a real coup for Lynn and he would be for many teams. Makes you wonder if his coming in on a low average why didn’t more go for him or has there been an agreement he goes to lynn to strengthen so there a little closer to the rest of the pack. For the sport and league a cracking signing another GP rider in the league however I don’t think he will be to last GP rider to grace these shores before the end of July. -
British Final 2024

Really enjoyed last night. Great being a Saturday night and did seem to have a good size crowd especially with the amount of people standing around us in the standing area and looking over the the home straight majority of the stand filled. First few heats of the meeting seemed to go slow then picked up from there some hard quality racing . Brennan I would say is the most improved rider in the last 12 months and if this continues at the same level of consistency you could say he will be right up there next year. Tai somehow pulled it out the bag when it mattered most but was good to see him not having it all his own way showed to me that there is still a little bit in there that can race. Rowe impressed me gave it a good go. I know Bewley won on the night but all three “GP” riders had to work for it nothing came easy for them I would say. Worrall scored well which can only be a good thing for Birmingham. Harris - this guy can still go, makes you proud to be British. Only criticism from me and trying to be constructive for the product and correct me if I’m wrong and it did happen. would of be great to see a “fan zone” meet and great signing with the riders and their merchandise. maybe some racing in the afternoon prior to the event (youngsters and females) etc. interviews on the centre green between heats and grading with past winners 80’s, 90’s, etc just my thoughts -
So what’s being said then is that TB is a bad egg?

British Final 2024

A few injuries and the line up drops considerably. Do worry for Tai in this a bad meeting especially now given the line up, I think will all but end next years GP position for him as I can’t see him improving in this years series. -
Sponsors, tv and streaming, crowds are the only real income. Riders pay is the the biggest outgoing alongside stadium rent. I think it’s either go big or go home in order to make it viable any more. Get the big names in like the clubs have done, holder, woffy, Freddie, Emil etc and hope that the product then sells its self on big names and quality racing. In order to get a bigger tv deal and bigger sponsorship. Look at the premier league football the influx of foreign superstars in the mid to later 90’s alongside the soon to be english “golden generation” boosted the reputation and as years went on the money grew and grew through tv and sponsorship to what it is today.

Very much doubt his on a gaurantee. More of an opportunity to come back to Britian earn more money against the polish currency and hope it opens up another opportunity. His getting quicker at PB and would surprise me if he gets close to double figures consistently there by the end of season. Away may prove more of a problem.

Ipswich v Birmingham KOC 2nd Leg 06/06

I don’t think he has at all as it currently stands would get a 6th position in any PL team. Shame to say it as we always want the brits to do well. -
Kings Lynn v Sheffield 6/6

Agree with you from what I seen over the years with Lawson turns up does a job no bull. Certainly wouldn’t be fazed by the glitz and glam of Cardiff. -

Lynn done well tonight -
I think there was a lot of question marks over sedgmen but Sam so far has got this right. Birmingham missed Worrall at 2. Pawlicki is getting there ( I know he rode at 6 last night) but is a few weeks behind the rest as he missed part of the English season. Just didn’t see Cook progressing not sure if it’s bike or ability but I wouldn’t have thought there was much in the decision between him and Lampart.

Birmingham v Ipswich KOC June 3rd
1stbender replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looking at birminghams remaining home fixtures 5 of them are between the end of July and august (6 weeks holidays) depending on schools breaking up so I can only imagine that will bring more people in as it’s the holiday period, I’m sure Birmingham would also have some financial backing to support Freddie coming in as i don’t think they would of signed him without it, as I’m sure it would of soured the relationship between Freddie Sam and Chris for it to go south between now and the end of season. -
Out of interest does anyone know why this was announced last night? Would of thought it would make sense doing it in front of the supports tonight as they are at home or was it about to get leaked?

Leicester v Oxford 27th May

Bomber has saved himself to score a max and haunt Leicester again still holding a grudge for being dropped last year. Close on this but see Leicester winning this however only by 4. -
King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

Lynn need to do something and need to do it quick. One decent signing may just turn the season for them to being more competitive it may then get a few more people down supporting and a bit of hope that there not going to be walloped meeting after meeting. I do fear for Lynn beyond this season -
Brennan won’t be going anywhere his been Birmingham best and most improved rider so would be absolutely stupid for the management to let him go. I would say that Brennan, Flint and Pawlicki are main stayers any of the remaining will go.
-
Well done to Birmingham on this but for British speedway this is great. Doyle, holder, Freddie, Emyl, woffy all in this year great time to be watching speedway.
-
I really don’t get the two management positions birmingham made. Just one would of done and perhaps they would of saved a bit of dosh to redistribute to a proper heat leader
-
Trying to get the topic back on track forget Garritys conviction but take into account the length of time his been out, which club premier or champ would be most likely to sign him given their current situation - league postion, injuries, average etc
-
There’s certainly a gap between both cooks at present. Ben seems to be progressing nicely up the order whilst Zach seems to have stagnated.

Birmingham vs King’s Lynn, May 13th 2024

Sounds similar to both speedway teams -
There are some really good podcasts out there now all trying to promote the sports and all have a different theme and how it’s produced. Heat 1 motor sports is a good one hosted by Todd Wiltshires son that I’ve recently came across, Ian Brannans done some good ones over time and I like “Around the boards”
