Glasgow v Edinburgh KO cup second leg
MB723 replied to Weeyin's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thought this would be much closer but Edinburgh missing the Swedes and Justin having a horrible night made it easy, don't think the same will be true in future visits as on paper Edinburgh have a strong team around Ashfield. Villads again phenominal, he is great at riding with Harris constantly looking for him and knowing what he's going to be doing, incredible for an 18 year old. Will be interesting to see how he scores at Edinburgh next week as that will really test him. -

Looks like Tate Zischke is in for Howarth now, hope Kyle is doing okay. -

I think 7 days is too harsh especially for a first offence, maybe a 1 match ban or 3 day ban and then increase for each illness in the season just to stop any abuse. I think earlier in the season Howarth rode unwell to avoid the ban and if I remember right did end up injured. -

How many riders have borrowed Hooky's engine this season, is it like the R/R tyre that gets passed around the team? -
Not so sure it'll be a walk as Glasgow have only scored over 50 against the 2 teams fighting for the wooden spoon this season, while so far we've done well away one rider having an off night could be the decider over 2 legs. Villads has been a great signing so far but he's never seen Poole or Edinburgh so he's a bit of an unkown.

Maybe he doesn't wear his glasses while riding there, if you can't see the bumps they can't harm you -

Even when they do finish at the back (at least at home) they are right on the heels of 3rd and pushing until the flag, both are improving with every match which is great to see -

Might be thinking JJ has a better chance than Sam of beating Villads while both might be expected to be beat by Dan? -

Allied sponsor team GB I think, so might be more pressure for the Glasgow guys to ride for GB than Kemp. -
Anders out? Really?

Absolute credit to the track staff track was amazing, I went expecting to come home covered but there was absolutely no dust whatsoever. Great work from all memebers of the team tonight, Hodder looked really quick tonight and Perry was looking competitive as well. Vilads had a bit of an unfortunate night with bike issues but he looked fast and wasn't afraid to attack. -

Well done to Cluff tonight, he's had his criticisms but he looks good tonight -
1st of the month they change but he'll still have an over 5 point average.

Really it's the promotions fault for signing a rider who will be riding in Poland every home meeting. Poland have priority so if they want their rider he goes there even if he ends up not actually riding. It's not he like signed for a Polish team mid season either he was riding over there before he came to the UK so Workington can't be surprised. -

What I mean is the management could be banking on some Redcar/Workington supporters still coming up, meanwhile the further away fans might be more inclined to get Bandits TV which could overall make more money instead of the further away fans just getting BSN. Its the only explaination I can come up with. You do miss out on a big crowd and increased atmosphere for the locals which is a shame though, saw it at Glasgow earlier this season against Berwick when BSN were up, expecting a full crowd but it was half empty -

Unless they make more money per stream from Bandits TV than BSN and think more further afield fans would still get the stream and closer fans would still make the trip even with it being on BSN? -
When BSN interviewed Ben at Poole recently he gave the same excuse of he'll try riding in Poland as the tracks are smoother/easier that Tobiasz Musielak used but Tobi actually got banned and then he never returned, probably will see the same thing here after the 7 days are up.
