  1. As long as they've factored in fastest heat times on their table its a last heat decider for the title
  2. Does Phil sponsor the water bowser or something, why is he always soaking the track and removing any chance of a decent meeting?
  3. Big shoutout to Freddy, held 2nd well for both our 5-1s and has kept this alive. Hopefully Leon and Kyle can get a heat advantage to give us a good chance of turning it over.
  4. Just the quali at the moment to protect the track surface, actual meeting still going ahead later today.
  5. Not intentionally I don't think, looked very disgruntled coming off from his races and even did a few laps after heat 15 and came off shaking his head. One to forget for him.
  6. There is a noticeable drop in crowd levels whenever BSN are in town no matter how far travelled the opposition are. Might just be us Glaswegians are tighter than anyone else or we just have more competition in the offered sports in the area I don't know but I can see why they decided to drop their streaming. The promotion is trying to get a lot of new fans interested in speedway and in my opinion, a big crowd is just as important in retaining them as good racing is. Half of sport is the atmosphere and if a new fan showed up to an empty back straight would they really stick around long?
  7. I've definetly seen the Workington track better but I've also seen this Glasgow team much better, both together will give a bit of a poorer meeting than expected (though I'm sure the Comets fans are enjoying it much more). There have been some good races, heat 12 there was excellent, I've seen much much worse meetings than this so I don't really understand the complaints.
  8. Really happy to see Ace doing really well, good to see how he's bounced back after a dip in form last season.
  9. Definitely frustrating but we knew he'd be missing some meetings when we signed him, this was probably in his calendar before he signed for us.
  10. I wouldn't blame any young foreign rider who signed mid way through the season to miss national team meetings no matter how inconsequential they seem. There are a lot of very talented young Danes and Villads needs to ride in these meetings to show he is committed and fast so he'll be picked for the bigger meetings over his peers.
  11. 8.81 champ average I think when the averages change on the 1st
  12. Masters, Knudsen, Hagon and Killeen (sometimes) can ride Ashfield well and McDiarmid should enjoy it. Should be a close match, Glasgow vs Oxford has always been a cracker on BSN.
  13. Really thought Antti would have pushed on this year, did he not give up on Poland to focus on the UK or am I misremembering? Tate at least has the excuse of that awful accident he had, wouldn't be surprised if he's still feeling the effects and it might have set him back a year.
  14. Thought this would be much closer but Edinburgh missing the Swedes and Justin having a horrible night made it easy, don't think the same will be true in future visits as on paper Edinburgh have a strong team around Ashfield. Villads again phenominal, he is great at riding with Harris constantly looking for him and knowing what he's going to be doing, incredible for an 18 year old. Will be interesting to see how he scores at Edinburgh next week as that will really test him.
  15. Looks like Tate Zischke is in for Howarth now, hope Kyle is doing okay.
  16. I think 7 days is too harsh especially for a first offence, maybe a 1 match ban or 3 day ban and then increase for each illness in the season just to stop any abuse. I think earlier in the season Howarth rode unwell to avoid the ban and if I remember right did end up injured.
  17. How does a 3 match ban work for a ref? My guess would be he was already assigned 3 matches and has had them taken off him but not personally sure if that's how that works?
  18. How many riders have borrowed Hooky's engine this season, is it like the R/R tyre that gets passed around the team?
  19. Not so sure it'll be a walk as Glasgow have only scored over 50 against the 2 teams fighting for the wooden spoon this season, while so far we've done well away one rider having an off night could be the decider over 2 legs. Villads has been a great signing so far but he's never seen Poole or Edinburgh so he's a bit of an unkown.
  20. From the back straight was quite confident that Flint got second, looked like he got it by about half a wheel.
  21. Track died off after heat 7, was almost as poor as Tobias which kept it closer as the Tigers riders looked faster just not getting out the gates as consistently. Another great heat 7 from Hodder and Flint made some good moves, he's been in some great form.
  22. Maybe he doesn't wear his glasses while riding there, if you can't see the bumps they can't harm you
  23. Even when they do finish at the back (at least at home) they are right on the heels of 3rd and pushing until the flag, both are improving with every match which is great to see
