And it’s off… best decision to call it early
-
SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Kyle Howarth, Chris Holder, Josh Pickering, Tai Woffinden, Jason Edwards, Dan Gilkes. OXFORD: Maciej Janowski, Charles Wright, Nicolai Klindt, Chris Harris, Rohan Tungate, Lewis Kerr, Ashton Boughen. weather forecast is grim unfortunately for today so unlikely they will even get a lap in.. if weather does clear up.. I can see a 14 point home win for the tigers. Chris Holder will be keen to put a big score in, and I think Dan Gilkes needs to get out and win a race or two for some confidence. Oxford got a team that could do very well round Owlerton, their success depends on which Lewis Kerr shows up as he can look like a heat leader some meetings then disappear the next.

King’s Lynn vs Leicester - Thursday 28th March

50-40 home win I think Toby will go through the card -
Brummies deserve credit they had a big point to prove to the doubters they were well fired up, never seen Flint ride that well before and every rider showed potential. 10 points down after 4 races and gating like they were it was looking bad for us, It was a good comeback and 2 points on board. Chris would admit himself it’s not been the best of starts his gating was very poor last night but he’s defo been on the pace. Sheffields team is built to win big at home and claim bonus points. So far I can see us taking both bonus points from Oxford and Brum.

After such a bad start that is a great result. Brummies really getting out of the gate, I think they will be ok this year once Pawlicki back in and maybe they will make 1 change. can’t wait to see us back on home shale

The weekly forecast isn’t looking great
-
Keep faith. In the mean time try and go see a few meetings keep the love for it best you can
-
You’d think he’d be happy seeing some top flight speedway then

Rain due Monday which isn’t promising.. if things do change with the forecast I fancy Sheffield to win this by 10 points. We ran Oxford very close after having no laps as a team before this. Similar kind of track shape I think we will start better. hoping for some good racing I will be making the trip down Monday

Why not go support the 6 that are going to be putting 100% in for your club? And Scotty Nicholls isn’t no slouch

Very close meeting as many predicted. Woffy EF and C Holders fall cost us in the end but as a tigers fan I’ll take that, sets us up for the bonus point at owlerton. Janowski will come good for Oxford i don’t think it’s his type of track he will be very useful away. Great to see Wright back to his best always a rider who gives 100% especially after coming back from a bad injury. The terraces were full I hope Oxford fans keep showing up in those numbers a great addition to the prem. Think we’ve blown the cobwebs off now and can see us winning at Birmingham Monday (weather permitting) -

Leicester 48-42 home win. Think they have enough in top 5 to see them through in the opener -

Not expecting much but I think one of Gilkes, Edwards may sneak 5,6 points in -

Having a couple of rain offs for Kyle’s testimonial, the press and practice I am concerned about a couple of engine issues for our riders early on in the meeting having not given the bikes a proper run out yet. Setting off about 2, going to find a local spoons like a good old tight Yorkshire man -

So hard to predict, Oxford team didn’t get a real feel for the track with the rain against brum but I don’t think many of the Sheffield team will have been Oxford before? going for a narrow home win 46-44 -
Oxford v Birmingham Thursday 14th March

45-45 -
Disagree with this I like the different colour bikes
-
They are both top riders who averages are good in the Ekstraliga in Poland. If I was a Brum fan I’d be happy with the team lots of potential
-
2 good heatleaders will make the team competitive. I think they can win home meetings no problem. When they go Sheffield, Ipswich, BV they need Cook, Brennan to step it up or they’ll get hit for 60 everywhere they go
-
Zagar and Pawlicki to complete the team?

2024 Premiership Predictions
Manifesto replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
1. Sheffield - such a strong 7 for Owlerton I just can’t see them losing out on any bonus point. 2. BV - Young team who I can see really clicking together, Ben Cook very good signing. Bailey could put 2 points on his average. 3. Oxford - solid team. If Janowski rides like a number 1 they will be up there 4. Ipswich - slightly better team than last season, Emil and Doyle will see them comfy at home. Ellis is the key rider. 5. KL - much improved on last year, Tobi is a proper number 1 and they look good enough to win at home, away might be struggling. 6. Leicester - Wolves riders will not fair as well as they did last year. Similar to the stars can see them getting a pasting away. 7. Brum - could be lacking some serious firepower at the top end of the team. Big signing is needed -
Connor Bailey has potential to step up like Brennan did a couple of years back. As for rest of team as you were.. which is still a good team and I think will finish top 4 no problem
-
Such a difficult team to judge, full of riders who can go and score well on any away track, If they want to do well they cannot carry anyone. Tungate and Janowski the key riders for me, if they have good seasons they will win the league
