  1. SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Anders Rowe, Chris Holder, Justin Sedgmen, Josh Pickering, Lewi Kerr, Leon Flint OXFORD: Rohan Tungate, Erik Riss, Charles Wright, Peter Kildemand, Maciej Janowski, Francis Gusts, Luke Killeen A very different looking lineup for Sheffield compared to the last 2 meetings. Kerr and Sedgmen drafted in makes us stronger at reserve but weaker in the main body. Picko put at number 5 makes sense as he’s been our best rider so far. think Riss and Wright will be the main threat from Oxford they can both ride Owlerton well and could get some points on board. Janowski looked good in parts last season so he could give the Holders a race or two. Tungate is horribly out of form but seems to like Sheffield. 51-39 home win
  2. If the Craig Cook who scored 16 points for Oxford last year could show up every week I’d have him. Unfortunately that was a flash in the pan
  3. Rowe has looked far better than a reserve as I expected he would, Flint has held his own as rising star (which we didn’t have last year), Sedgy and Kerr more than capable of scoring 10-11 points between them at Owlerton which is around what Tai and Hume would of returned. We have lost a huge rider and personality in woffy but we have to be real about the situation. If we can stay strong at home and pick up those bonus points that’s all that matters
  4. I expected Kerr and Worrall myself but the management have likely gone with the best options they had available. Kerr can perform at number 2 in the team if he gets his gating gloves on, Sedgy will drop to reserve once averages change and he will be a big improvement on Hume. big pressure on Picko to keep up the good start he’s had to the season. I still see us easily making play offs
  5. He was cruising last lap because he was that far in front. Probably the fastest on track last night barring possibly J Holder. Not many will beat those 2 round Owlerton on that form
  6. Another really solid home performance for Sheffield. Pickering has never looked as fast literally coasting round last lap every race to an easy win. Jack Holder provided some great entertainment in heat 10 and 15 after missing the gate, felt Klindt and Lawson rode a great line in each race but just couldn’t defend against a world class rider. Harris as usual was 100% effort looked very good in parts, heat 9 was a great race between C Holder and Bomber. Lawson and Klindt showed some fight and speed for the away team, but Cook and Kvech were nowhere which was always going to result in a heavy loss for KL. only weak link for Sheffield is Hume who doesn’t look comfy at all riding Owlerton. Feel for the guy he’s trying his best doing laps after the meeting but feel like he’s already on borrowed time. If we can’t find a like for like replacement for woffy can see a double change coming
  7. I’d be more worried about Kvech and Cook on tonight’s showing
  8. Don’t think team changes will be made even if Sheffield hit 60 tonight. Who are they going to fetch in? They need to win home meetings this season and keep away meetings close as possible
  9. Heard a couple weeks ago a rumour a corporation has bought the stadium and plans to refurbish it, run the speedway team and also greyhound nights
  10. Wasn’t wrong though was I? 😂
  11. Think if Harris is on it tonight KL win this
  12. Think if Harris is on it tonight KL win this
  13. After the demolition of Birmingham I’m expecting a tougher test against KL. Harris, Lawson, NKI all ride Owlerton well so will be some closer racing. Flint and Rowe had pretty much perfect Sheffield debuts hoping for more of the same. Ben Cook at number 1 is an obvious weak point for KL in this meeting fully expecting Harris to have 7 rides. No signs of a temp signing to cover for Tai guessing it will be R/R again. 52-38 home win
  14. Brum were woeful apart from heat 12 and 13. Really was a shocking performance. Expected the heat leaders and Rew to be banging some points in. It was all too easy for Sheffield, Flint looked like a different rider than I’ve ever seen him round Sheffield. Rowe showing exactly why we signed him, he’s really on the up as a rider he will be one of the signings of the season. Picko and the Holders fast and smooth as ever. that was for Woffy ❤️
