  1. Now all teams have been announced… Ipswich, Sheffield, BV look strong. All heat leaders are strong riders especially on home tracks so for me the lower order riders will be the key. Thompson, Ellis, Zischke, Blodorn, Rowe, Flint.. if one of them can step up a gear or two the team will be really hard to beat. I fancy Brum for 4th spot. Think if Tobi finds his 2023 form he will inspire the rest of the team
  2. Fair play to the brum management they have put a solid looking team together when heat leaders were hard to come by. MJJ had a solid season in the polish league 2024 averaging more than Bewley, Fricke, Lindgren. don’t think he’ll be a slouch in the prem by any means
  3. When watching it live I was directly in line with Emil and Jack coming in to bend 3, both threw the bikes in hard. Emil actually had the room to go round Jack (who was about mid track) I think if he had the footrest he would have handled the bike through for the win. It was so high speed which made it a spectacular crash.
  4. Holder is the better rider overall when both are on their game
  5. Is the Oxford team that bad? It’s a similar match up to Kings Lynns in my opinion. Everyone fancying them for play offs although I can’t see anybody matching up to Ipswich, Sheffield and Bv. The last rider needs to be a solid rider who can hit their average home and away and they should be competitive
  6. So far so good for Brum. Building a solid looking team
  7. It’s obviously a very similar line up to last year which did work for the most part. Rowe v Howarth id pick Rowe, improving and looks so much smoother than Kyle on a bike. Hume v Gilkes id pick Gilkes purely on fact there is a chance he could improve but likely to score very similar next year. Flint v Edwards I couldn’t choose one over the other both prefer smaller tracks, Edwards could pop up with a heat 2 win but never really got in the mix most weeks. Flint has put himself out there in Poland and with team Gb I think he could step it up a gear or two given the right equipment and confidence in a winning team
  8. Dan Gilkes was never going to be the key rider in the team and Hume will be the same. Both let’s be honest are poor riders at prem level. can genuinely see us struggling away from home, should have more than enough in the tank at home with all 1-5 capable of scoring big. If overall team averages drop management will be hooking Hume straight out the team
  9. Gilkes seems very professional and dedicated to the sport I can’t see him leaving speedway any time soon. If he has had an offer from Oxford maybe there’s a bidding war going on. Could we get a Christmas miracle and Facundo Albin return on a duel Argentinian/British passport
  10. Great to see all the heat leaders back from 2024 and more importantly Picko who I think average close to 8
  11. If Borke or Thomsens average can be converted from championship id be more than happy with that for last rider
  12. Full team to be announced this Thursday evening. Any surprises or will it be the rumoured 6?
  13. He was very good round Owlerton he kept it respectable for KL on their visits. Excited to see him progress riding with the Holders n Woffy (if the team rumours are true) Flint and Gilkes both know 2025 are huge seasons for them both. They have shown glimpses off what they can do really need to step up and be consistent
