Like the idea of having a young guns riding for Glasgow but think Foord's average is too high and would be hard to see Boughen leaving Oxford.
-
3 riders currently signed for the 2025 season. Anders isn't one of the signings and won't be signing for Glasgow.

Bomber wants a club that is professional in its operation and a track that can show case his riding style, Glasgow/Ashfield tick those boxes.

Glasgow v Scunthorpe CL 19/7/24@7-30pm

Biggest crowd of the season, with plenty of new faces experiencing Speedway for the 1st time with the partnership with Glasgow Warriors introducing new fans to the sport. With everything from crashes, controversial decisions, hard racing, passing in every heat, team captains showing passion and pride ,that is what you call entertainment. Credit to both teams for showing what speedway should be like.- 59 replies

At its worst in the middle of the season with the dry weather ? It's hardly been the Sahara desert in the UK this summer so that's a poor excuse for a track that has zero material on it. If you actually had some material ( shale AND clay) on the track you'd have half a chance of keeping some moisture in the track. -

And that attitude is why speedway is failing. Berwick fans pay good money to watch the sport they love, the club have a duty to fans and riders to produce a track that creates racing. During the football season I could understand track preparation being harder to do due to access, but the season has been finished for 6 weeks and that track was pitiful. Yes they have to make do with the shape of the track but absolutely no excuse for a bare, bumpy, one line track. -

Mitch Cluff was the lad on JP's bike. They are team mates in Poland. He loved Ashfield , said its so much fun to ride and the banking is brilliant. -

Not a case of cash not being splashed, more like lack of riders of the calibre Glasgow are looking for. -

Yet here we are 22 heats later and more passing than you'll see in a full season at Armadale. -

Nope, transponder loops should be fitted approx 9" behind start line to give time based on front wheel passing the start line as transponders fitted on handle bars -

We don't use the same transponders as the GP's, we use stock car transponders , take from that what you want. -

Vissing out to prove a point against his former club scores 13 just missing out on a maximum One day later Vissing riding for his 2024 team on his home track which suits his style of racing scores 4 from 4. As previously commented Vissing does produce some great performances but let's not forget the levels of inconsistency seen last season before Injury. Great guest for us but let's at least give every rider in the current Glasgow team a chance to show what they can do. -

Leon likes a bit of dirt, track was slick due to weather, the lad needs track time. He's come to Glasgow to try and press forward in his career so he deserves a chance to find his feet then push on. Get behind riders and not on their backs, look at last season when many had written off both Pijpper & Complin at the start of the season, yet both played major parts in Glasgows success last season. Nothing has ever been won at the start of the season, let the team grow then see where we're at come the time to kick up a gear. -

Leicester’s new training track
TracksideView replied to Honey Monster's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Work started yesterday on the new training track for the Academy. Weather permitting it should be completed by the start of the season. The biggest issue is building the training track while not damaging the main track as the typical Scottish weather has been pretty much relentless rain for 2 months. -

Allied Mobility sponsored Team GB last year as they've done this year as well, with Allied's Cab's Direct sponsoring the Championship this season. Maybe Poole should have invested some of that "first prize cash" from previous seasons into purchasing some material for their track, but then again what would have been the point when every track grade consists of grading away any material produced from racing -

And then they would ask for a track that would produce the least entertaining racing in the league, so thanks but no thanks
