  1. What’s me? Elaborate. I’ll be honest because feedback is important; for the most part, I thoroughly enjoy this forum, but I’m becoming slightly bored of genuine sporting debate descending into immature exchanges like this. I’ve raised valid, debatable points in here, but your enthusiasm was take the discussion towards “you pick fights, people don’t get on with you”. You quoted me, @Noelinho, so let’s not beat around the bush. Explain your agenda.
  2. I hope Josh Pickering is back on his feet pronto, but he’s so animated on the bike; almost on the verge of losing control like he’s riding a bull.
  3. How much was an early bird purchase for the Championship? Also, once purchased on an account, can it be live streamed on multiple devices at the same time? For example, could I watch a meeting and 50 miles away, could my dad also watch using my log-in?
  4. Buzzing for this. I heard Cami Brown saying Vissing was due to have his knee brace removed in the coming days, so I’d be amazed if he made another appearance this season. Glasgow won’t want to risk a partially fit second-string at such an important part of the season.
  5. Do you know what the most challenging part of this forum is? Grown men who are incapable of debating without subliminally seeking back-up, like suggesting you ”pick a fight with everyone”. Don’t quote me if you’re unwilling to engage in a debate.
  6. Wow. Never before has a point been missed so spectacularly. You’ve said the first two races may have been about set-up - “exactly what probably” is an incredible sentence, by the way - which is an assumption, so let’s use your logic from the other side of the fence; - If Charles Wright was riding, he’d probably have scored more than Justin Sedgmen’s zero. - If Sedgmen’s chain hadn’t snapped, he’d probably have scored more than zero. - If Connor Bailey hadn’t been wiped-out by Sedgmen, he’d probably have scored more than one point. Assuming those instances didn’t happen, Redcar took a 10-2 lead and Hume, Riss and Edwards beat Tarasenko, Basso and Harris? Last night’s a whole different story. My point isn’t that Glasgow didn’t deserve to win; it’s that they’ll have to be much better against Oxford because if I’m a Redcar fan, I’m looking at a missed opportunity last night because of bad luck.
  7. Between this bizarre attempt at denouncing my support of Glasgow and your “no wonder Leicester is up for sale with fans like you” comment to someone else, I’m not sure engaging in a sensible discussion with you is possible. Valid points have been raised here, but you’ve chose to respond with childishness.
  8. Relax, drama Queen. I’m a Tigers fan and even I see what @iainb is saying. Applauding the fans on the victory parade, yes, but standing on the track with fists raised like a boxer in front of the camera isn’t for me. Save that for celebrating trophies. It was equivalent to Real Madrid doing a lap of honour after beating a depleted Accrington Stanley. The scoreline flattered Glasgow; no doubt about that. You’d have been safe putting your mortgage on them winning last night, but they were 10-2 down after two heats to a depleted Redcar who were missing the CLRC winner, his guest replacement withdrew after one bend, having taken out his team mate who evidently felt the affects of the crash throughout the meeting, costing him when in point scoring positions. Edwards beat Basso, Riss beat Tarasenko and Hume beat Harris. Glasgow cannot afford not the be conscious of the manner in which they won. It should have been a case of applauding the fans, then up the road. Full focus on a big, big improvement against Oxford.
  9. Well done, Jack Smith. I was critical earlier, so it’s only fair I give credit where it’s due. A point in that race is outstanding. There’s no way Basso could have hung around to protect him.
  10. Again, hopefully Bailey’s okay, but between Wright being unavailable, Sedgmen taking out Bailey, then both Harrison and Bailey falling in the last two, Glasgow are making difficult work of a meeting that’s being handed to them on a silver plate.
  11. That looked nasty. Hopefully both riders are okay. Arguably harsh, but Jack Smith is woeful and the irony of Lee Complin regularly playing to the galleries while letting down Glasgow is incredible. I’ll be amazed if between them, they score more than three points tonight. Cami Brown has been forced into using Tarasenko in heat three thanks to two horrendous heats.
  12. Isle of Wight, featuring Harry and Lloyd’s stunt doubles from Dumb & Dumber?
  13. That’s interesting. Thanks. CVS and Matt Ford are the owners, right? I wonder how much, if any, input promotors have. I’ll use Glasgow, for example. The Facenna’s are the owners, but Alan Dick and Michael Max, two of the promoters, have much more internal Speedway experience, so their input would be valuable. I’ve no idea what the manager, Cami Brown’s background is. Thanks for this. If you don’t mind me asking, how do you know all of this? I find it fascinating.
  14. Sorry, I meant the first club I had seen wearing matching race suits, but @Bagpuss reminded me that clubs in the 1998 Elite League did.
  15. He won the league with Oxford in 2001, didn’t he? I loved that league winning Oxford team. I went Cowley a few times that season. I’m sure they were the first club in the UK to wear matching race suits; purple ones with yellow lining. Kings Lynn did something similar in 2000, but they were Wulf Sport outerwear; not kevlars. Off the top of my head, I’ll try naming the line-up; Todd Wiltshire, Brian Andersen, Steve Johnston, Lucas Dryml, Leigh Adams, Ales Dryml and Andrew Appleton.
  16. That portakabin over to the left looks a bit Welshy. Carmarthen?
