  1. Seems someone forgot to tell Poole that was the case and they missed that weeks copy of the Star, they splashed the cash believing they were getting an asset, they'll now owe a loan fee to Leicester also.
  2. My understanding is a deal was allegedly being sorted for him at CL level with a club and he went and sorted a deal at Poole (who believed they were getting an asset and splashed the cash to him) on his own without discussing it with Leicester. Ah The Winter Speedway Merry go round is brilliant.
  3. He'll need to hit the ground running this season in a weaker League or the young ones will swallow him up quickly. Never quite hit the heights he was tipped too after being chucked in at Newcastle at Number 7 in CL. Seems more interested in Tattoos and go faster stripes/exhausts for his car than investing in machinery. Time will tell if he's hungry enough to work for it or continue to expect others to make it happen for him.
  4. Be prepared to be very surprised because we've already told you it's happening
  5. Would have thought he'd have confirmed he had a spot before now instead of presuming he had one, Dad's meant to be a nightmare and was shouting in pits at last meeting about how they had a spot in CL with Poole.
  6. Four out of six and wasting your hopes on the other 2, perhaps 1 current NDL Team and a new 1 will make up the 6 and I suspect it will be set up in order to move out those topping up their wages and allow new riders in. The rest of PL and CL who havent got a NDL team have to run a Stand alone National Youth Meeting or a structured youth 2nd half.
  7. Or perhaps it's a very smart move having 1 home fixture every week from March till October by 1 of their 3 teams.
  8. Maybe it could be used to pay your Promotions riders for their last meeting? After all they'll have Bill's to pay and you wouldn't go to work and not get paid would you! Let's have a Development League where we teach the kids you don't get paid what your owed right from the off.
  9. You do understand the BSPA are actually just the other promoters and not just a group of tyrants with a load of axes to weild? If Godfrey wanted the same and you suggest above and the others out vote him he has to come out publicly and state the outcome decided, he gets the blame (because he s head honcho) even if he didn't vote for it.
  10. There's no contradiction at all, the 1st references 2 pointers (ie Killeen and Harrison and the last bit references how it is just now where they're not mentioned. I also clearly stated should they achieve 4+ they have to move after even 1 season.
  11. Definitely they can be added to that list, if there's no stipulation for a 2 pointer it will be interesting to see which Clubs go with a stronger bottom end and which take a punt on a 2 pointer.
  12. If the NDL does run (nobody has confirmed it's not it's all the winter merry go round of he said she said) it will undoubtedly be smaller than the current set up with Berwick pulling out and Workington moving up. Mildenhall and Kent if they don't run is not the Bspa's fault that's down to both the Clubs, Mildenhall already stating they have issues with owners and crowd levels and being able to do track in time, Kent similar problems with crowd numbers. A possible 4 team League should reset it to developing riders once you take out those who shouldn't be riding at the top and bottom orders just to be paid. Time the Clubs invested in Juniors not the Bspa Easy to blame the Bspa when promoters don't actually promote anymore!
  13. I believe they did or spoke about it (I'm sure someone will confirm or correct me) but why does it need to be the BSPA and not the Clubs and Promotions? Parents pay xyz on training to get their kid to CL level then Clubs pounce and command loan fees for them for their whole careers without investing anything in them. Clubs only pay attention to kids when they turn 14/15 and get closer to having a value as they near their 16th Birthday. The Northern Clubs seem to be better now at the Junior Scene than the Southern ones but the Southern Juniors are having to travel North to Them for structured Competitive Track time. Then the Southern Clubs swoop in and sign the Southern Lads without having to do any of the leg work. The EFL don't hold Acadeny Days so Football Clubs can get players so why should the BSPA
  14. To be fair some clubs do treat their Juniors (and other Clubs Juniors) the same as their Paid Seniors and they are 100% included in that Club without being paid. The reality of it all is if your a Parent who can't invest £60,000 minimum to do at least 5 years needed (and upgrade equipment as you go) to be able to step into the NDL then as it is now your paying riders in the NDL who will never make it in the CL or PL (there's riders in NDL who have ridden for up to10 years who have barely got above a 3 points average) We hear Boughen etc has only been on the bike a year etc, he rode Moto x at the highest level for years and has done his time (Moto x route) the same as every other junior who's climbed the ranks and invested the money in training and track time, it's not the Clubs doing it. Riders wanting Van's, engines, ridiculous wages demands for the NDL is all wrong, if you have been riding for years you should already have the equipment!
  15. Simple enough Idea however when fans won't come out and watch free (some clubs do charge entry) British Youth Meetings just now they won't turn out for the above as suggested. Scunthorpe and Redcar also run Summer/Winter Championships for all levels (entrants even pay to ride) yet very few come and watch those either. The Kids who "make it" every year do so because of the commitment from parents, Clubs actually do very little in terms of bringing the own riders through nowadays and those who rely on "Go Fund My Hobby so I can get to the paid ranks because I'm entitled" will always struggle to make it.
  16. If the NDL stays then there will be low Team numbers (so hypothetically if there's only 4 Teams) In order for it to do what it's designed for and their being 28 riders (I'd even make each team have a number 8, if anyone is missing they step in at number 7 and team is reshuffled per averages, it's not mind blown to move the 1-7 the do it every other week when they sack someone) There should be no big boy's ie Complin, Roynon, Edwards, Bowtell etc And it should also weed out the I'm entitled to get paid now I'm old enough brigade (they should then continue to ride Amateur and 2nd Halfs till they at a level and earned it to picked to move into the NDL)
  17. Reading what Dickson has said he's stated it'll be a team built to win at Home initially (Winning Home Team imo pleases his paying customers and he's certainly not daft and knows that) Historically he goes with riders he's worked with and knows will do a job for him so don't be surprised to see Lawson or a certain Worrall who's in limbo atm He'll then most likely look at who scores well around Shielfield (wouldn't that be a novelty idea to start as a manager, who can actually ride my track) and riders to do the job, not just make the numbers up. If the limits 38 which is rumored there's a host of 2 pointers to choose from, does he go with Max Perry or Max James (Leicester Connection) or try scoop Luke Harrison back into the Berwick Fold? Rumours going about Boughen to Oxford Luke Killeen to Oxford Pijper to Glasgow Trigger to Plymouth Luke Harrison Jody Scott Sam McGurk Harry McGurk Max James Or does he go with a Coles and another at bottom end and strength in depth with 1 big hitter.
  18. Imo the racing should be better with "diluting the league" as you put it, we all know the racing Is better when there's 4 like for like riders in a race be that 4 x GP stars or 4 x 125 lads. Younger riders are never going be able to compete with lining up against PL no1s in the Championship, but this season has proved the young Brits can compete against 2nd strings there and it's improving them. All I see and read is we want changes, now there's changes everyone's moaning about it, people accepted riders taking sweeties off kids in the NDL was wrong and they shouldn't be allowed to ride there, well the same's been happening in the CL and hopefully now that's being stopped/limited too and they'l do away with Doubling up altogether except for U24 Brits.
  19. If he wants to ride CL (no issue with that at all) it should be his Pl Average (that being the higher Level) 6.78 x 1.5 = 10.17 and be the only League he rides in in the UK If he wants to do PL then its his 6.78 Average This should apply to everyone (again except U24 Brits) This isn't rocket science.
  20. The wording there that he needs 2 Leagues in the UK to make it pay is partly why British Speedways in the mess it's in, he see's it as a cash cow because Polands possibly not worked out for him. There should be no doubling up/down except for British Riders under 24
  21. Number 7s should be protected all Season (if that's 2 point riders so be it but they should be protected fully) and no averages given and at No 7 all season, Number 6s should also be British U24s only under 4 points. If at the end of year 1 (or 2 or 3 or year 4) your Number 7 has achieved a 4+ point average (on paper) they have to move to number 6 berth or main body and a new no 7 comes in. (If for any reason a British U24 rider is struggling in main body and drops under 4 points they can go back to Number 6) These numbers could be tweaked but they have to be British u24s and protected. Let's be honest if you've got a reserve taking 6 or 7 rides and beating 1-5s regularly should they actually be at reserve and protected longterm, no they shouldn't and neither should ex Gp stars riding at Reserve!
  22. No one should be paying for it and that's been a problem for years, once they reach NDL age (15) and someone pays them they start riding once every 2 to 3 weeks depending on the fixtures because in their eyes why should they practice if no one's paying them for it? There's plenty tracks doings Amatuer Meetings and on the look out for riders at all engine sizes for Competive 2nd half but most won't travel because they have to pay their own way. If they're good enough Clubs will pick them up regardless (let's be honest the parents foot the Bill to bring the Kids up to the age of 16 with Club's not really having any input then take all the credit for everything)
  23. So your saying they are Squandering TV money and Sponsor money on riders who are are adding 200 to each home Meeting....that in it's is part of the problem with British Speedway ...spend more to bring in less makes a lot of sense right enough! The state of the top flight with it's 4-6 teams is proof the big names are not working.
  24. Ok I'll take your bet, please provide proof to back up your statement that Emil is adding 200 to every track he's rode at this Season? There's this mistaken belief that the "Big Names" are British Speedways savours...yet to see it working as all they're doing is taking the big pounds out the Sport while they're allowed too.
