  1. Stand alone NDL Clubs can't have assets but CL Teams who run NDL can have them once they are 16 years old.
  2. Nice to see the NJL updating theirs also https://scbgb.co.uk/njldocuments If you bother to look or is it a case of it's not on the forum so not available.
  3. Sadly you probably won't see dramatic changes in the Championship for various reasons, ideally be no cup competitions and a League of 2 home 2 away then play offs of top 4 however the claim will be not enough riders for so many fixtures. With Eastbourne applying to join National League and heavy rumours of a Northern Clubs addition also (won't be Berwick or Workington and Edinburgh and Redcar already have NDL) that would leave Glasgow possibly adding fixtures to to their empty calendar by joining the NDL. Would it be supported though?
  4. Don't be nieve, Clubs bring in 15/16 year olds with promises of becoming assets (when they reach 16) and dazzle them with the big bright lights of becoming a professional which in turn the Club gets the value off their Bond Each Season, they then can command Loan fees for their assets all through their career so its in their interests to try bring riders on. They spent thousands to have Bickley there and that didn't turn out well for them did it as he's not worth anything to them now he s packed in. As for Cairns, they didn't want him as he wasn't becoming an asset of theirs, he wanted to go there and his connections made it happen.
  5. No, what's harsh is them paying more than the £10 and £15 per point and 20p a mile that was agreed for the Development League in order to get the riders they wanted so they could win. Add to that Belle Vue smashing Teams whilst giving William Cairns 7 rides whilst Operating R/R and not using the number 8 they have with them despite them running away with meetings at the time. Seems both Teams missed the memo of the NDL Idea whilst the others played it correctly. I'll say it again 6 man Teams 5 rides each (unless injuries during meeting) and no R/R allowed. If a 3 pointer is used to cover missing riders the order is shuffled based on averages.
  6. With the rumours of a Northern Club being mentioned that rules a few out and really only singles out Glasgow as being that Club people are on about. Berwick - Stated in past they won't have Bullets back to allow them to concentrate on the Bandits Workington - stated NDL wasn't really supported and fans wanted Championship Racing Both Edinburgh and Redcar already run NDL Question is do they splash the pounds for a winning Team of established Riders like Leicester/Belle Vue do or produce a young team of their own through development for future Championship places in the Tigers?
  7. When you consider which "journalist" wrote it would you expect anything less than half a story? There's no mention of the Foords making shooting gestures to the crowd etc as seen on tv. The same person copies and pastes most pieces he writes and passes off others work as his own by changing a few words.
  8. 6 man Teams (maximum CL Average Limit in place to stop those who are too good for NDL being declared in 1-6) 1&4 Heat Leaders 2&3 2nd Strings 5&6 Reserves 15 Heats - 5 Programmed Rides Each No R/R (when a lower average rider replaces missing rider the order gets adjusted accordingly) Unattached 3point Guests Only from Published Pool of Riders not in any 1-6 (1-6 to be adjusted so Guest goes in at number 5 or 6) Injuries during meeting to be covered alternatively ride by ride by reserves It's a DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE not WIN at all cost League!
  9. Shouldn't be any R/R in a DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE, even if the rider coming in has a way lower average than the missing rider who they are covering for, the 1-7 should be switched accordingly with averages on the day!
  10. Who would have thought a Public Forum would get so many Snowflakes Programme Boards in a tizzy! A 2 pointer not scoring 2 pointsisn't causing any team to lose, that's down to the other 6 experienced riders to score above their averages. The re jig in the averages was to allow British riders to come into the CL for the future of the sport in the UK. A few things of note if I may Ace was achieving above 2 points and was victim of the Numbers game, now it's a case of this ones better that ones not based on NL averages - perhaps some riders NL average (Harrison for example) is lower because he's used the National DEVELOPMENT League to figure out what he needs set up wise to be able to score in the CL and it isn't all about winning heats in the NDL for him. Starkey comes in and problem solved apparently, what happens when he moves into main body and struggles to score there? Imagine McGurk riding at number 7 whilst CL is there and he has the outside gates and struggles, he goes to number 6 and bingo wins heat 2(after being moved to the inside gate). Wind your necks in a bit the days of 2 pointers scoring 5,6,7 or 8s is long gone and it's up to the other 6 to allow them the time to Develope. Also note Harrison had part Season no pressure at Redcar in 2023 where he could find his feet at CL, McGurk, Perry,Hodder are in same position this Season Harrison was last year- maybe some even have 2 year Deals to allow them time! 2 Home 2 Away no cups next Season and you won't see the same teams against each other 15 times in 5 weeks with some having 16 meetings a season and others 20 plus. It's not rocket science it's Speedway and a public forum, even for the snowflakes
  11. What a way that would be to run a Club, you didn't want to ride every Saturday for us so we won't book you as a Guest when we need one.
  12. Kyle's was prescribed by hospital for a racing injury and could be traced back to source, no trace from Dentists could be found for Lee's allegedly. Both Worrall and Complin have to submit hair tests prior to applying for Licence - 1 was found guilty of coke metabolites/ the other hasn't had his made known to public. Take what you want from the "over the counter medicine" for the mouth but something other than over the counter meds has to have been found that requires hair samples to prove he's clear.
  13. Lee Harrison for Oxford Jamie Etherington for Middlebrough Both are on the Unattached 3 point list and had outings this season.
  14. Kit Bag whilst Screeny was on holiday and walked into Belle Vue few weeks later with said bag allegedly. Not sure where he would get parts for racing having bumped several spares people for Thousands of £££s
  15. The Riders going into the National League are bypassing the MDL and NJL so no it's not a stepping stone. Both Sonny and Jody didn't need the MDL or NJL to work up to a National League Spot. Those who reach 15 and have developed are going straight to the NDL without the MDL or NJL , those who go into the Junior League 500s need to step up at every chance they get to try and dislodge the 2 you mentioned and others who have team spots. The days of being entitled to go the NDL because your old enough have gone, in my opinion the MDL should be renamed to Midland Junior League like the Northern Junior League because that's what they are now.
  16. Ipswich seemed to have some new younger faces at their press and practice yesterday so you may need to believe it. On paper Mdsl and Njl are the level down but the reality is it's not a real stepping stone to the National League unless the rider wants it enough. Look back over last few Seasons very few riders have gone via the Youth Championship to Junior League Racing to NDL route, those who are in the 125 ranks in NJL go one of 2 ways when they're 500cc eligible (that doesnt mean they are ready to ride 500s either just they are old enough to hold a 500cc license) - the ones putting the hard yards in go straight into NDL at 15 (because they've developed enough that a promoter will give them a punt) the others continue in the NJL and MDSL believing they re hard done too and entitled to a place in the National League instead of using it as a platform to earn a team spot by developing instead of believing a Junior League average entitles them to a NDL Team spot. Two NDL clubs said they had 1 spot remaining to complete their teams, I maybe wrong but didn't a selection of riders show up to Scunthorpe over the last few weeks to try and Impress Lambert and Godfery? Didn't Gavin Parr turn up at Workington to Look over possible riders for their last spot?
  17. Teething problems in the 1st year by sounds of it, if it's been adjusted and tweeked then surely an auto renew for your discipline (based on 1st year license in new system) could be in place to save the problems.
  18. Wouldn't there be an auto renew option like on insurances?
  19. Henning Loof has an ACU License according to list announced on SCB Website today...
  20. Watson has a contract signed according to his page so that is 99% probably Edinburgh as Redcar and Scunny are holding trials for their last spots.
  21. If the lad was after a team spot and has progressed as you say has he been in touch with the clubs to seek a team spot? Redcar I think would be the only NDL club who would know who's been riding NJL and they have a set up of assets etc to include in their team, the rest of the teams wouldn't know who was in the NJL riding.
  22. Surprise https://britishspeedway.co.uk/cab-direct-championship/perry-a-pirate/
  23. Why would I need to know him? He was being discussed on the thread and I gave an opinion based on the information out there. In 2021 he struggled at Newcastle with machinery not good enough and the then current level of CL rider he was against. He then struggled with machinery at Armadale. In 2022 he upped his average at Belle Vue whilst riding an ex Nicky Pedersen engine but still had machinery issues which impacted his season. Missed 2023 due to Injury and hopefully makes an impact in 2024 as the there's a lot of younsters who will swallow him up if he doesn't. Phil Morris has stated he never had a car till he retired and he made a career out of racing because he invested in what he wanted. I questioned his hunger to succeed not that he has a car or tattoos.
  24. Seems someone forgot to tell Poole that was the case and they missed that weeks copy of the Star, they splashed the cash believing they were getting an asset, they'll now owe a loan fee to Leicester also.
