Might be wrong, but was Cook to Leicester not announced the day after the incident in the Edinburgh Poole match, meaning it had all been agreed before that when he was really on form. Such a pity. Had the incident not happened, and Cook’s form continued, there’s no doubt he’d be chipping in with good points. I understand he can still declare himself unfit but perhaps he didn’t want to let people down and was desperate to do well and make a living for his young family. Do sympathise with Leicester fans, though.

Both Pirates riders could go off 15m in every single heat, and they’d still win this comfortably. This could quite easily be 65+. Pickering’s gating is generally poor, and Borke must be one of the worst gaters I’ve seen. The others will stick to a safe inside/mid track line and be picked off easily.

Tomorrow the perfect confidence booster. Guaranteed paid 4 points as an absolute minimum from heats 2 and 8 alone.

Very tough one tonight, with Oxford having plenty riders who like Armadale. Heeps at reserve is an advantage, while Masters and Nicholls are just too strong if it does come down to heats 13 + 15. Oxford to win by 10.

Didn’t turn out too badly for Dan Bewley, to be fair. And I wish your point was even remotely accurate - might’ve meant that we’d actually have won some home meetings this season!!
