  1. Beaten by the better team. That’s it. No lack of effort from our boys, and fair play to Scunny. Hope Sedgy is okay! Thought Howarth’s move on Picko was hard but fair. Sure they’ll have kissed and made up already, Sheffield fans!! Lambert cleaning out Lasse and Connor, and Lasse getting excluded was another Dishington special!
  2. Enjoyable meeting. Thought Berwick deserved their win. Leon an inspired guest - only reason we were still within touching distance near the end. In two different heats both Josh and Paco signalling to the referee something Barker was doing just before the race - anyone know what that was about?
  3. Masterclass from King and Wright, and played the tac sub perfectly. Fair play.
  4. I was more confused by your comment about losing half the heats. 4 riders in a race determine the result.
  5. Not really? Only lost two heats - the reserve heat (Coles exclusion) and the 2-3 in heat 11 (Sedgmen leading before chaingate). Could’ve quite easily lost no heats the whole meeting.
  6. Really? 2 wins from his 2 replacement rides. And meeting over before heat 15..
  7. Brilliant from Plymouth - well done - best team to visit so far. Thomson and Sedgy winning the IRR rides shows Picko’s withdrawal made zero difference to the outcome. Reserve points - paid 19 vs 3 - says it all.
  8. Congrats to Poole on going through. Special mention to the fans on the third bend who made the trip up. Couldn’t really understand why your riders (minus Brennan) didn’t take the victory lap for you after heat wins. Story of the Thomson’s tonight - that was the difference, really. Not the best night’s racing but, as always, Josh made up for that in heats 13 + 15. Encouraging result. Beating the best team in the league on the night and missing out by just 5 on aggregate. Playoffs hopefully a realistic aim.
  9. Haha! Pretty sure they wouldn’t have lost any sleep over it. Meeting won, bonus point won, both top scored and outscored Schlein, got the 5-1 in heat 13 when it actually mattered etc. Exceptional ride from Schlein - wish he had come round to take the applause.
  10. To be honest, as uncomfortable as Borke looked around Armadale, he’ll probably still have enough to get the better of Coles and James. Would expect him to ride to his average at least. Plymouth be interesting though given they’re stronger at reserve.
  11. Fair play to the lads - good effort - should hopefully be enough to win on aggregate. Would expect a lot more from Kye, Sedgy and Lasse at home.
  12. Sedgmen will have some great meetings at home but have 1 or 2 shockers, too, no doubt! Not the best number 5 in the league but not the worst.
  13. Probably. ‘Total refresh’ right enough!! Haha!
  14. History repeating itself, I fear. Assembling a similar looking side to last year, if rumours are to be believed and there are no suprises. Is the hope just ‘the whole league will be weaker, so a similar team should do better’?
  15. The longer this goes on, the more this becomes a real possibility. Giving everyone the fear!!
  16. Good luck to Cookie at Worky next season. Can see him having a good one.
  17. Same sort of thing we were all saying before this season (heat leaders need to almost go unbeaten) and look what happened.
  18. Genuinely can’t believe people think that is a poor team.
  19. Not for me, personally. Can’t remember his average but, if fits, Paco for Wright would be better and more realistic.
  20. Spot on with this, I’d imagine. And I’d be happy with Connor Coles. Did well at Armadale this year!
