  2. As the Edinburgh correspondent for the star I guess the moral of the story is I must pick a cleverer fan next year 😂
  3. Could you post where this is available, is it a podcast?
  4. Masters Erik Mark Sedgey Josh Sarjeant Ruddick
  5. Mark Riss sits out after his crash at Wolves last night R/R with rides for Erik, Pickering and the reserves
  6. Planning permission only allows one racenight per week at Armadale hence the need for double headers rather than multiple meetings in a week. Barring injuries I'm more than confident we will get through all 30 heats tonight the 1st match will start at 7 sharp and the turnaround between the 2 has been practiced this week and stands at 20 minutes so all being well it'll work out ok I think over the last 3 seasons the Monarchs have ran 5 double headers and only 1 failed to go the full 30 heats
  7. Kev Whelan has been on Facebook looking for a mechanic for a guest booking at Glasgow tonight so presume he is j the Sheffield line-up somewhere
  8. Cheers Northyorksbear, while I was a little disappointed by certain aspects of the Monarchs performance I left the Media Prime thoroughly entertained and what more can you ask for and I always feel you need to give credit where it is due and last night that was to many parties. I've been going to see the Monarchs at Redcar since you guys reopoened and every visit I get more and more impressed by the facilities and atmosphere. That looked to be a decent crowd last night and everyone I spoke to from the person on the gate right through to Kevin Keau could not have been friendlier and helpful. More power to them.
  9. Looking forward to this tomorrow first visit to Ippo in 20+ years. Think a decent match awaits but unfortunately think the Witches will be to strong for the Monarchs
  10. Best I've ever seen Ashley ride. Lightning from the gate and attacked the track. Wasn't far off Wells when he came down in heat 15 as well. Definately Diamond of the match
  11. Apparently due to the length of time taken for the Belle Vue situation to be resolved the BSPA made a ruling prior to the season that Newcastle would get priority as they had signed him up first. The decision itself I don't agree or disagree with but the ruling not coming till the afternoon before the meeting is a disgrace
  12. He has a sub 3 average from a handful of matches at Armadale would think that would lead to him not being a huge fan.
  13. I can answer this one. It was not an official press release. It was a preview of the match ahead written by myself as a volunteer with no official ties to the club ( as I have done for every match this season apart from the last Berwick home match where I e-mailed the wrong article over by accident) at the time I wrote this on Saturday evening I had not been made aware of any changes to to our programmed 1-7 (tbf I hadn't asked if there was any) whether the management were aware of Dan's availability or not at this stage I don't know but there was no cloak and dagger element to this. As for your second point about Mr Harkess that's laughable. The BSPA told the Monarchs that Dan had to ride for Belle Vue and the BSPA have issued the NL averages showing Mitch was eligible. Who is the vice chairman of said BSPA....... That's right it's Scunny promoter Rob Godfrey!
  14. The point you are missing with that argument though is that Pontus did not lay it down to benefit himself but to benefit the team therefore it is correct that the team should be disadvantaged by the outcome.... Although in this case they weren't actually disadvantaged as the outcome when he decided to try and cheat was the same as the outcome as correctly judged by the ref.
  15. Confirmed as monarchs at pboro on Sunday https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=759574184078688&id=178267788876000

  17. I e-mailed Eurosport uk to ask if they would cover Swedish Speedway. Very happy with the response Thank you for your e-mail, British Eurosport will be showing live action from the Swedish Elitserien starting in May. Fixtures are still TBC. You can keep up to date here: http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/search.shtml?query=Speedway Hope this helps, Kind Regards UK Communications British Eurosport
  18. I feel for Elite League fans who will no doubt be expected to pay the same if not more than this season to watch a 2/3 el and 1/3 nl match
  19. Up on em:tv now http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/emtv/player.asp?cat=Racing_2013&id=100049
  20. Best bit of the announcement for me is the fact it's a 3 year deal!
  21. Just noticed that Ryan Fisher appears on the Bspa site in plymouths lineup. Now we all know that this in no way makes it true as the fact ashworth was on there. However if true wow what a top 2 although they may get in each others way a little in 13 and 15 ;-)
  22. Just wondering what the Dudley fans thought of Micky when he rode for them in 2010? I appreciate it's been a year since you saw him but is he ready for pl speedway and who would you compare him to?
