Live updates for all matches home and away will be available on the Monarchs website and I believe the chatzone chatroom will still continue this season to allow for people to chat as meetings are ongoing

Nobody has to tell us anything on here but the rule book does state that the parties to the appeal will be given the outcome in writing with reasons for the decision on this instance that has not happened so the BSPA are in breach of their own rule book
-
Not quite Grachan it’s more like Edinburgh attempted to sign a rider that does not automatically qualify for a visa but that they felt did qualify under the discretionary rules (posted earlier in the thread) Edinburgh then built their case with testimony from Steve Evans, Greg Hancock and the UKVI BSPA management committee rejected the appeal (as is their right) BSPA neglected their own rules that state that the outcome of an appeal with reasoning will be provided to the relevant parties. Therein lies the gripe and where the accusations of bias come in as there has been no transparency and the reasoning for the rejection is yet to be received.
-
Why then did the UKVI say he met their criteria, the same criteria the management committee say they have rejected the appeal based on?
-
Which rule were Edinburgh seeking to break? As per the rule book we applied for a discretionary approval for a visa for Becker. That was turned down (as is the discretion) however all Edinburgh are looking for is an answer and clarity as to why? The reason of to go along with UKVI rules has been blown out of the water as they confirmed to Edinburgh they were happy that Becker met their criteria.
-
What decisions were these Taylorj or are you making a sweeping statement with no facts to back it up
-
He does meet the criteria to appeal for an endorsement hence why the Monarchs did. As confirmed by the UK Visa and Immigration agency themselves.
-
I think the main issue here is in the decision making committees make up. whether there should be an ‘discretionary appeal’ process or not is by the by as currently there is one but the fact that team managers from 2 of Edinburgh’s direct rivals are involved in the decision is what leads to an accusation of bias. can you imagine if Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte could veto a Man City signing that is the equivalent really. As has been said if the management committee come out with a statement as to why the appeal was rejected with valid reasoning on each point then we can see the validity of it then but I would be surprised to see that from the same cloak and dagger committee that has a vice chairman who told another promoter to break the rules last year and yet wasn’t punished.

Edinburgh Vs Workington & Ipswich 8th September, 2017

Planning permission only allows one racenight per week at Armadale hence the need for double headers rather than multiple meetings in a week. Barring injuries I'm more than confident we will get through all 30 heats tonight the 1st match will start at 7 sharp and the turnaround between the 2 has been practiced this week and stands at 20 minutes so all being well it'll work out ok I think over the last 3 seasons the Monarchs have ran 5 double headers and only 1 failed to go the full 30 heats -
Redcar V Edinburgh 24/8/17

Cheers Northyorksbear, while I was a little disappointed by certain aspects of the Monarchs performance I left the Media Prime thoroughly entertained and what more can you ask for and I always feel you need to give credit where it is due and last night that was to many parties. I've been going to see the Monarchs at Redcar since you guys reopoened and every visit I get more and more impressed by the facilities and atmosphere. That looked to be a decent crowd last night and everyone I spoke to from the person on the gate right through to Kevin Keau could not have been friendlier and helpful. More power to them. -

Looking forward to this tomorrow first visit to Ippo in 20+ years. Think a decent match awaits but unfortunately think the Witches will be to strong for the Monarchs -
Edinburgh V Newcastle Ch 19/5/17 @ 7.30 Pm

Best I've ever seen Ashley ride. Lightning from the gate and attacked the track. Wasn't far off Wells when he came down in heat 15 as well. Definately Diamond of the match -
Belle Vue V Swindon Friday 19th May
gmuncie replied to STEPHEN 333's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Apparently due to the length of time taken for the Belle Vue situation to be resolved the BSPA made a ruling prior to the season that Newcastle would get priority as they had signed him up first. The decision itself I don't agree or disagree with but the ruling not coming till the afternoon before the meeting is a disgrace -
Edinburgh V Scunthorpe Ch 7/4/17 @ 7.30pm

He has a sub 3 average from a handful of matches at Armadale would think that would lead to him not being a huge fan. -
I can answer this one. It was not an official press release. It was a preview of the match ahead written by myself as a volunteer with no official ties to the club ( as I have done for every match this season apart from the last Berwick home match where I e-mailed the wrong article over by accident) at the time I wrote this on Saturday evening I had not been made aware of any changes to to our programmed 1-7 (tbf I hadn't asked if there was any) whether the management were aware of Dan's availability or not at this stage I don't know but there was no cloak and dagger element to this. As for your second point about Mr Harkess that's laughable. The BSPA told the Monarchs that Dan had to ride for Belle Vue and the BSPA have issued the NL averages showing Mitch was eligible. Who is the vice chairman of said BSPA....... That's right it's Scunny promoter Rob Godfrey!
-
The point you are missing with that argument though is that Pontus did not lay it down to benefit himself but to benefit the team therefore it is correct that the team should be disadvantaged by the outcome.... Although in this case they weren't actually disadvantaged as the outcome when he decided to try and cheat was the same as the outcome as correctly judged by the ref.
