Bit of a false equivalence unless you also list the amount of meetings being shown, as this is going up again next year the price per stream isn’t far of the same

I could be wrong (and apologies to Phil if so) but the article in the Peterborough paper is written by ‘Holeshot media’ who I think is Phil Lanning. Given his experience and ties to the Tigers I’d be very surprised if he’s let slip something he shouldn’t have or wasn’t allowed to.

Remember though with the new rules for no8 that they can replace anyone at any time so Smith could have some of Pijper and Complin’s rides (as long as they have 3) and the same for Oxford Killeen could replace Atkins or Boughen in rides if they were struggling also -

That’s correct, r/r at 1 for Monarchs, Howarth was booked but pulled out and no one else of even similar calibre was available/willing -
I would imagine that’s due to the variety of lines, I may be speaking out of turn for Sam but I always feel like he likes to hit the front and control the race certain tracks like Ashfield it isn’t always obvious where riders will try to pass you from. Either that or maybe he just likes bamming up Tigers faithful

Top average rider in the championship this year prior to yesterday, hardly ‘finished’ but then sure facts would never get in the way of your prejudice -

The rule is crystal clear a rider receiving a second warning can go off 15m or be replaced by a reserve -

For me there are a few main reasons BSN is a more entertaining watch The main one is the pace of the meeting, Eurosport/Phil Morris control that for there meetings and it drags it out something chronic there is no need for a speedway meeting to be a 2.5hr affair from start to finish unless there is an incident. Whereas BSN have no control over this and just cover the meeting as it goes so it flows so much better and keeps you involved. 2nd is the BSN has more characters in their coverage, while I think Scott does a fantastic job on Eurosport he is perhaps a bit more polished than a Greg Blair or Adam Roynon type but those guys can be themselves a bit more on bsn than the presenters on Eurosport can I’d say lastly while bsn do cover premiership the majority is still Championship and for my money that is a far more entertaining league. -
Rider Changes in the championship

The trouble with that is you would then have riders that it benefitted to be a ‘gun for hire’ Purposefully have a poor spell when in a team so you get a deflated average then the next season tour round the country guesting for everyone that needs one riding 3 or 4 times a week naming your price. -

Looks a little silly now doesn’t it -
Why wait till after the 28 days then moan? The situation hasn’t changed from the second Luke got injured till now. A short term injury replacement could have been signed (and I seem to remember Nicholls being announced as such before this was reversed)

Really looking forward to this one as the newly relaunched academy take to the track for the first time with (no offense meant to all those that battied hard the last couple of years) a more competitive looking side than has been seen at this level for the club since the initial days of the Dale Devils. The Colts look to have hit the ground running after their big home win over Berwick as well Stream can be purchased from https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/emtv/live/Oh8urIwhT STELLAR MONARCHS ACADEMY: Kyle Bickley (captain), Mickie Simpson, Alex Spooner, Adam Roynon, Jacob Hook, Dayle Wood, Kyran Lyden. COOL RUNNING COLTS: Jack Smith (captain), Luke Muff, Sam Hagon, Matt Marson, James Pearson, Paul Bowen, Freddy Hodder.

Excellent to hear the crowd size, a very healthy crowd at Armadale tonight as well both car parks full by 40 minutes before tapes up. Fingers crossed it continues for both -
To go point by point - less Champ fixtures protects ndl as allows clubs to have teams in both, nobody wants to run double headers these are proven loss makers - I won’t argue that lack of continuity in fixtures will harm attendances but having the same team multiple times does this also (unless for cup Finals / play offs etc) while your weekly diehards will go regardless the more irregular fan is less likely to go to a fixture if they know they have another opportunity to see them or vice versa wont bother the second time I’ve seen attendance figures to back this up. - for some riders more fixtures the better but for those with other commitments that’s not always the case. Erik Riss originally was going to sit out champ this year as it was to much, Josh Pickering said he considered the same. Then others like Ben Basso had originally said they would only do 1 uk league. That probably would still have been Glasgow I would guess but who knows may have been Pboro that’s potentially 3 number 1’s gone. I like you am a speedway junkie and want weekly fixtures from April till October but we perhaps have to realise there are many mitigating circumstances why this isn’t feasible.
-
Could argue the bigger mistake was in announcing 2h/2a before it was ratified Can see more reasons against it than for imo - Trying to protect the ndl - teams that lose money per meeting lose less - riders that couldn’t commit to 2h/2a leaving the championship - lower average attendance when same opposition visit multiple times

David is great with the kids at one of the coaches of the Monarch’s academy as well.
-
Lasse is UK based during the season so costs the Monarchs less than a southern based rider who would want travel costs
