  1. Surely as a neutral it was better to see Pijper cover 3 of the 4 rides than a lesser rider cover all 4
  2. Could be wrong but from memory that changed last year when the transponder equipment went in
  3. I’m just going off what I was told by someone involved in the management at Berwick that they are aware of a couple of clashes and aren’t concerned
  4. Don’t panic As is often the case with that poster what they know and what they think they know are completely different. Drew may miss a couple of meetings but this was known by Berwick and facilities are allowed in those instances.
  5. I would imagine the Monarchs argument centered around the wording of rule 10.2.1 which states rolling match averages are made up from last two years fixtures which would give Max an average of sub 2.8 It isn’t in the scb regs that I can see so can’t remember the exact rule but I assume the rolling average for team building uses a set amount of meetings giving the 4.21 figure. Does raise the question on if Max’s average would drop to the lower figure after the first cut off after he rode a league meeting this year.
  6. I think Birmingham made a mistake not signing him, he’d be on a 3.53, is a fan fav there and rides Perry Barr like a championship heat leader so would be good for 5 or 6 at home most weeks alongside 3 or 4 away at most tracks I’d say
  7. Your second point about not arranging it that way is spot on If it needs a double header the easiest way (and it’s still a bit of a pain) is charge people the full price on entry then offer a partial refund as they leave before the second match. Edinburgh did that for a double header last year. The main downside was seeing a queue prob 200 deep that weren’t staying for the second match which was pretty disheartening really.
  8. Bit of a false equivalence unless you also list the amount of meetings being shown, as this is going up again next year the price per stream isn’t far of the same
  9. I could be wrong (and apologies to Phil if so) but the article in the Peterborough paper is written by ‘Holeshot media’ who I think is Phil Lanning. Given his experience and ties to the Tigers I’d be very surprised if he’s let slip something he shouldn’t have or wasn’t allowed to.
  10. Remember though with the new rules for no8 that they can replace anyone at any time so Smith could have some of Pijper and Complin’s rides (as long as they have 3) and the same for Oxford Killeen could replace Atkins or Boughen in rides if they were struggling also
  11. I’m sure if you could find one for the promotion they’d be happy for you to get in touch
  12. That’s correct, r/r at 1 for Monarchs, Howarth was booked but pulled out and no one else of even similar calibre was available/willing
  13. Each mini league is classed as a seperate entity so riders can guest for one team in each
  14. I would imagine that’s due to the variety of lines, I may be speaking out of turn for Sam but I always feel like he likes to hit the front and control the race certain tracks like Ashfield it isn’t always obvious where riders will try to pass you from. Either that or maybe he just likes bamming up Tigers faithful
  15. Seen him in the pits after (and spoke to Kyle) and Zach is battered and bruised but could have been a lot worse. At first viewing I thought his fall was a cert to be a shoulder or collarbone injury but he seems to have avoided the worst
  16. Top average rider in the championship this year prior to yesterday, hardly ‘finished’ but then sure facts would never get in the way of your prejudice
  17. Bastian Borke also misses out due to Danish commitments Ben Morley stepping in
  18. The rule is crystal clear a rider receiving a second warning can go off 15m or be replaced by a reserve
  19. For me there are a few main reasons BSN is a more entertaining watch The main one is the pace of the meeting, Eurosport/Phil Morris control that for there meetings and it drags it out something chronic there is no need for a speedway meeting to be a 2.5hr affair from start to finish unless there is an incident. Whereas BSN have no control over this and just cover the meeting as it goes so it flows so much better and keeps you involved. 2nd is the BSN has more characters in their coverage, while I think Scott does a fantastic job on Eurosport he is perhaps a bit more polished than a Greg Blair or Adam Roynon type but those guys can be themselves a bit more on bsn than the presenters on Eurosport can I’d say lastly while bsn do cover premiership the majority is still Championship and for my money that is a far more entertaining league.
  20. The trouble with that is you would then have riders that it benefitted to be a ‘gun for hire’ Purposefully have a poor spell when in a team so you get a deflated average then the next season tour round the country guesting for everyone that needs one riding 3 or 4 times a week naming your price.
  21. Why wait till after the 28 days then moan? The situation hasn’t changed from the second Luke got injured till now. A short term injury replacement could have been signed (and I seem to remember Nicholls being announced as such before this was reversed)
