Did Anyone Notice Lindback....
Chris replied to Eastie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You mean Steve Shovelling is not real? -
Good luck to Edward and Tommy in Italy and Daniel in Tarnow.

Denmark-Jan Pedersen Scandanavia-Mikael Tuernberg Poland-Jacek Gollob Czech-Vaclav Verner Italy-Armando Castagna

Hope so Main Man. Looks as though Richard Hall now comes in for the unfortunate Rory Schlein in Lonigo.

How strong is the Lonigo semi compared to Tarnow!! Think Tommy, Edward and Wright will struggle to qualify from that semi but hopefully they can do it. How many actually qualify from each? Not sure a home wildcard should be kept for the staging nation, this is a world final and if Wallner isn't good enough to get there on his own merit then there should be no place for him.

Says on official Rye site that King and Allen join Kennett in the Lonigo semi.

British Gp Reserves Named
Chris replied to Lioness's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good shout Steve. The reserves aren't important but what is important is showing the British YOUNGSTERS what is required to be successful at that level. What good is Lanham, Howe, Harris etc. going to be for a reserve role? They are riders who are never going to progress to world class level whereas riders like Stead and Kennett still have the ability and time on their side. SCB- Havvy, Screen, Howe and Louis the best of British? Whats the point in them being in the GP? There is no point. Who wanted them in the GP? They will do as much as Kasprzak did in Poland and he's on top form! The Welsh are irrelevant and you really think that a few more supporters would come through the gate if Morris was reserve? Don't think so. -

Lanham I don't understand speedway supporters sometimes! Hang on what about Andy Smith? You know that up and coming young rider who can surely benefit from a reseve position! -
R/R was used for Hampel on Tuesday. Maybe the other website put his R/R score next to his name.

British Gp Reserves Named
Chris replied to Lioness's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Cos they are riders who have stagnated over the past 3/4 years and have not developed whatsoever thats why. Whats the point they have both had a go and done nothing in the GP's before. Anyway as mentioned Stead and Kennett prob won't ride anyway but a call up could do wonders for their confidence and show them what is needed to progress to that level. -
Under 21 World Cup Qualifier?
Chris replied to swindonbabe's topic in International World of Speedway
Yeah any chance of someone from Germany providing updates? What time does the meeting start tomorrow? -
Yeah a shame that James Wright is out, but we still wouldn't beat the Swedes or Germans even if he was in the team. Not sure you can call him our best rider as Edward Kennett is getting PL maximums from the top 5. James still has to prove himself in the top 5. Kennett also had a poor season in the EL last season and still averaged near 4.5. Shame we are in the toughest line up as well. Wouldn't think Abensberg would suit our boys and the Germas should fly round there and the Swedes will have two world class riders in there team so no chance really. Shame we couldn't have been drawn in the Denmark round at Holstead which would have given us a better chance.

Daffyd Thomas has offered me a bed for the Saturday night in a nice, quiet little village, but only if I bring the lubricant. -
Good read. Would love to hear Len Silvers confessions.

Ken Do you know who filmed at Rye House in the late 80's and early 90's before they closed and do you reckon there is any chance of getting some copies of some matches?

Team GB had a one off match against a Rest of The World select at Eastbourne last season.

The vast majority of fans couldn't stand the joker last season so congrats to the BSPA for voting it in. Our controlling body is an absolute disgrace.

Double points in place of tac subs- what a F****** joke! Lets look forward to all teams trying to be ahead by six points going into heat 15! Is the Young shield back for the PL? It better be after having to put up with double points all season. We really do have wallys running our sport. Get an independent person in charge or better someone from this forum as they understand what the majority of fans want. Absolute joke! Mod note.......please be careful with the language..i know its frustrating but we have youngsters reading the forum.

Typical Newport point of view. If there supporters want to support a team with 2 no hopers at reserve and Chris Schramm at second string and Tony Atkin at heatleader then why not pi*s off to the conference league. The pl is fine as it is with 45. If clubs like Newport and Somerset cant afford to pay the riders then withdraw from the league and go amateur and pay £5 a point then let the properly run clubs get on with participating in the pl. Promoters like Stone and Hewlett really get on my **. The pl has been a big success and because these two cant afford to pay riders and put together successful teams they have to try and bring the other clubs down to there level. As i have already said if you cant afford it go down to the cl.

I don't think John Postlethwaite will give a yank a wildcard after they pulled out of world cup at the last minute. Loram Richardson Hampel Lukas Dryml Matej Zagar -
Don't particulary like either but i couldn't bare seeing Crump lifting the trophy. Don't like the guy and never have. When he is more mature and professional then i wouldn't mind seeing him lift it as he is certainly good enough but i just don't like some of his actions. Good luck Nicki.
-
Something i would like to point out: Julia Bradbury in a bikini! superb! Another point: I still think Jason Crump is a t**t for the way he constantly reacts to the tv cameras. He is supposed to be a professional sportsman and threatening camera men is not big or clever. I personally hope he never wins the world championship. You dont see any other riders react to the cameras because they accept they are their and that they are professionals. He needs to grow up and perhaps that would happen if someone told him rather than his pit staff and father licking his behind.

SGP of Europe - Chorzow Poland 17th May
Chris replied to Papa Bazarou's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What an awful meeting! For god sake Olsen put some f***in dirt down. We might actually get some decent racing if you do. Sorry to swear but i found the meeting so boring and struggled to watch it and im a speedway fan. Think of how the non speedway fans would have felt watching that. They would have turned off after a couple of heats. What were they riding on? To me it looked like some kind of powder not shale! If that track would have had a bit if dirt on it would have been a top meeting. The shape of the track is superb and the surface had bedded down from last season so for it to be so slick was very annoying.
