  1. Alan Mullery and Laurence Rogers were abit to close for comfort.
  2. Erm he told Robbo he didn't want to ride because "he had been riding all that week". Nothing about this BS team practice a day before a 3rd/4th place play off in Poland on the Sunday. As mentioned before it shows you who the good guys are, who with the same sort of schedule are prepared to put themselves out for Robbo.
  3. Excellent meeting. Plenty of passing all night. Thats what happens when you don't get PL wobblers struggling to use the throttle and show any sort of track craft. Fair play to the Cov boys for putting on that sort of show before a big meeting. Shame Nicholls couldn't be arsed. Individuals not my cup of tea, but you couldn't fail to get involved with the racing witnessed. The best thing about the evening though was the smile on Robbos face which never disappeared all night. He looked chuffed with the turn out and the display put on by the riders. Would be brilliant if he could get back on a bike in future years.
  4. Had a brilliant evening..... stuck on the fookin M4 all night! Tremendous. A shame what happened, but while the police fiddle with their plonkers is it really necessary to shut a busy section of motorway for over 7 hours after a one off incident involving one car? Not really, but thats the old bill for you. Surprising winner no doubt. Wright hasn't exactly excelled away from Derwent Park or looked to have progressed much this season so surprising.
  5. How will us egg and chip fans spot the Swindon mafia? Is it the usual mafia attire of Lonsdale trainers, wrangler jeans and Wulfsport palm tree jacket complete with a Mr Clean cap and cider in hand?
  6. Think its poor from Nicholls personally. Would expect it off Hancock seeing as he would have to put himself out. His other team members haven't a problem with putting themselves out for Robbo, but why not Scott? Does he feel the meeting is below him? Chris Harris is in exactly same situation as Nicholls. EL final 2nd leg on Monday and important GP to come, but he has put himself out for Robbo and the fans, which is why someone like Harris is very popular on the terraces. Comes across as a good bloke with no ego whatsoever. Nicholls on the other hand.....
  7. Crump and Kennett riding for Poole at Eastbourne Nicholls and Hancock obviously couldn't be arsed. Nice.
  8. GB and Czech knocked out Sweden in Hungary and Poland knocked out Aus and Russia in Poland.
  9. Looks as though our captain and "no.1" let the team down in Germany. Very poor. Shame Oakes didn't tell Wright or King to feign an injury to get Tai in.
  10. Rye are riding Saturday night in the PL. Have to win by 10+ to qualify for play offs. Doubt Len would have let Steve or Tai go.
  11. Who knows. The problem is the system. We may as well use him though if he can help us to win the thing.
  12. Well done to Tai. Nice to see a kid with abit of humility won the title rather than Bridger, who has alot of growing up to do. Tai has been a credit to himself and family this season. Can't fault the kid in any department. Been a pleasure to watch him week in week out. A good team man, great team rider, appreciates the fans and always gives 100% out on track and in the pits. Has it all at the age of 17. Just needs to improve his gating and your looking at the full package, who will be very, very successful on the world stage.
  13. Can't help with start time, but our line up looks like it is: E.Kennett D.King© J.Wright L.Bridger An.Other(Must be Tai surely) Poles are: K.Zabik© P.Hlib K.Buczkowski M.Szcepaniak A.Gomolski Czechs: L.Tomicek© F.Sitera M.Kus H.Stichaeur M.Vandirek Germans: T.Busch R.Speiser M.Dilger K.Wolbert© An.Other
  14. Would have been home and dry, but for Hans and AJ's coming together in Copenhagen.
  15. Will the Swindon mafia be gracing the PLRC with their presence or has the EL snob in them won through and believe attending such a meeting would be beneath them?
  16. Pure comedy! Brilliant! Absolute farce due to the umpa lumpa and he was like a hedgehog lost and scared in the bright lights when the GP boys were laying into him. Haha. Still he got the meeting at Lynn, got a couple of his boys in the meeting and got his pics with the dolly birds so probably not bothered. Surprised there has been condemnation from the Lynn fans as the track for the first five heats was what they have been used to in the PL and what they have wanted all season. We have had the Lynn fans crying all season on here saying "give us grip". Well the track for first five heats was usual track prep at Lynn. Surprised they haven't come on saying that riders can't ride grip nowadays. Thats what they say on the PL threads when they serve up that sort of standard track surface. Stadium still looks a sh*thole on the TV. May as well knock that shed on the backstraight down and you can hardly see if you stand in it anyway due to about a hundred wooden poles keeping the thing up. Concrete centre looks terrible and with aload of dirt dumped on it then its not very pleasing to the eye. Lights were poor as well. Hope Rico didn't have to much damage to his van after his breakdown. Would be a travesty if he put in all that effort to get there and he was punished with a broken van. Chin up Rico.
  17. Don't think you can look past the Poles of Zabik and Hlib or Saifutdinov. Probably been practicing at Ostrow for weeks and have the engine set up perfectly. Holder may be able to do something, but can't see anyone else winning it. Ed K hasn't a chance in Poland. On a medium sized track like Vojens where you don't rely on top end speed he would have been right up there, but he hasn't got the motors or experience on the big Polish tracks to trouble the above mentioned riders. He'll do well to challenge for a rostrum place. Looks like the home boys have it all to lose.
  18. Cheers. Is the format top two into the final and 3-6 into a semi with first two progressing into the final or straight twenty heats?
  19. Anyone got the draw for the final on Sunday?
