  1. Brits could be behind from very early on looking at the gate draws.
  2. An ok meeting, but Vojens shouldn't get any more race offs or finals. That crowd was absolutely pathetic for a race off with the home nation on view. An embarrassment that a fairly big meeting for the sport was watched by a handful of people. Lovely to see the Aussies faces at the end. Wonder what the precious, plastic Aussie made of it all?
  3. Only side Lyon could pick. None of the others can have any complaints. Bridger and Barker look out of control most of the time and Bridger can't even stay on his bike lately. Kennett has been sulking all season for some reason and looks as if he doesn't give an arse, so shouldn't be given a chance and King ain't good enough. The future looks grim.
  4. Any news on possible injuries to Linus yet?
  5. Was there mid season old girl. Unless they have stuck a new 2000 capacity stand on the backstraight then the NA with its lack of facilities should be nowhere near a meeting like this. As said earlier, nice work if you can get it Jonny.
  6. Dear me. We'll be going from a top class spanking new stadium in Gorzow to the dump that is the NA. You couldn't make it up. Yes the Chipmunks have given it a lick of paint in the last couple of years, but its still not good. How they can be given a meeting of this standing with the facilities on offer is a joke. Is the backstraight still condemned? Couple of crappy stands on the home straight and a few sheds on bend four plus some raised terracing on bends 1/2. Forget watching elsewhere as you will be looking at a fence all night. Will they clean the royal box seats for this meeting as last season there was dirt and crap all over them? Chipmunks must surely have to bring in temp stands, but even so why do they deserve a meeting of this stature. Nothing wrong with the track as long as the Chipmunks don't f*ck it up like they have on a few occasions, but for a club owning the stadium and offering the facilities they will then its poor. Young Jonny looks to have got his feet firmly under the table at the BSPA. SWC meeting and the fours at the NA next season. Nice work if you can get it Jonny. Sort of sums the sport up in this country and why its not taken seriously when you go to holes like these places for supposed big meetings.
  7. Kennett was . last night. Should be told unless he starts riding in Poland and pulls his finger out riding away from these shores then he doesn't deserve to be considered. His decision to not bother riding in Poland this season says it all. Has found a comfort zone and needs a kick up the backside. His kit is crap as well and may as well have been riding an old lawnmower last night. Has alot more ability than most, but doesn't help himself with his attitude.
  8. Suggestion of team riding in the SWC gets bought up every year and always gets the same answer. The format was changed after the Aussies threw a race against the Swedes at Coventry in 2000 meaning Sweden got into a run off for 1st with GB where Rickardsson beat Loram. Can still picture the Adams/Crump pairing riding 4 laps with their left foot on the ground trying to slow down so as not to pass the Swedes. Race fixing would be alot easier if we had pairs. Nothing wrong with the format now.
  9. Stupidity from Pedersen. Went for a gap that was never there and paid the consequences. Good meeting and well done to the Russians. Fancied the look of them before the start as if you know your stuff about world speedway you would see they have alot of good riders doing well around Europe. Could be even stronger in the final if they bring Artem Laguta in. Danes have no chance now. NKI and Bjarne P were poor and Klindt will struggle in Poland.
  10. Tricky one. Nicholls omitted is no surprise, but the problem is Lyon has dumped Rico for a rider who will never be good enough in the future for this sort of experience to matter in King. Rico can't have alot of complaints though as I thought his two performances last year in the SWC were a disgrace. Him and Nicholls attitude were repulsive. Other three youngsters have the talent and time to make it so would have been a no brainer for them not to be in, but would have kept Rico in because there are no other young riders ready or good enough at the moment sadly.
  11. Henk Bos Christian Hefenbrock James Wright Izak Santej Leon Madsen Fritz Wallner Henry Van Der Steen Adrian Miedzinski Ales Dryml Manuel Hauzinger Daniel King Morten Risager Tobi Kroner Manuel Novotny Patrick Hougaard +1 more
  12. Embarrassing for the sport. Racing non existant due to the concrete surface, stadium about half full with lots of spare seats visible and Milliard worse than ever if that could be possible. Only positive was the Russian, who is mad. Still we learnt Millard has a green car and got his knowledge of the work permit issues regarding Kolpak. Brilliant.
  13. Poor from Edward. Once he leaves the comforts of these shores he crumbles. Not helping himself by not bothering to ride in Poland either. Can't understand that at all when he needs all the experience riding abroad he can get. Needs to be alot tougher mentally.
  14. You talk sense usually Steve, but Tai has done alot more than Holder had done by the same age. Not saying Tai should be in the GP's, but to dismiss his record at such a young age to get your point across is wrong. He will go on and be a better rider than Holder in the future.
  15. Crap old meeting. Saifutdinov in a different class to the rest of the field. Holder should have tried to jump the start in heat 19 as gate one had such an advantage it was his only option. Could always see Tai having this sort of meeting and was never going to challenge the top six. His inexperience showing up big time. His gating was abysmal and frankly embarrassing and when in contention in the first bend was swallowed up and spat out like a wobbler. As mentioned, maybe a good thing that he was shown up by his performance. Now he will realise he has to get his gating spot on as with tracks as slick as Pardubice all over the world he won't give himself a chance if he gives everyone yards from the start. Lets see what he does next year before writing him off.
  16. Of course Nicholls doesn't have the temperament to reach the top. Have you only just worked that out? Your not the sharpest tool in the box are you! He has more than enough ability on the bike to compete with the best, but its upstairs that lets him down and has done all his career in the GP's. Look at someone like Rune Holta, who Nicholls has been competeing to get into the top 8 for the last two seasons. Holta has a horrible style on the bike and nowhere near the ability of Nicholls, but Scott can't handle pressure and makes poor decisions on track so has to fight just to reach the top 8. Acted like a petulant schoolboy? Dear, dear. I felt he reacted quite well. I would have tried to rip Dribbles head off if he tried to put me in the fence twice. Best stick to your obsession with Scoop eh?
  17. I have grown fond recently to Tatums "from the get go" phrase.
  18. Oh dear Patve. Your knowledge of the sport shines through again.
  19. My opinion 21stCentury is they are both pooh. Give whatever stats you want, but they are both poor riders, who should have been nowhere near the team. Good to see the regular viewers at Coventry and their fans were made to look like plonkers by backing Cry baby and Stead for berths. The home track knowledge paid off nicely.
  20. Good on you Steve'o. Anybody from England supporting other riders/countries over their country is an absolute digrace. Although we will finish third I will feel much more comfortable watching as we will be giving two youngsters who have a chance to get upto world class level riding and gaining more experience. Lets be honest, our top three at the moment in world class terms are well short. Found it very hard to get behind the team or overly enthusiastic with riders like Stead and Allen in there. Both crap and both non racers and should have been nowhere near it. By the way, take that chav earring off Harris. Shocking behaviour.
  21. No surprise with regards to Sean Wilson. He had no looks to lose.
  22. You must have been watching the tiddly winks world cup for the last few years then. If you think the SWC has been boring there really is no hope for you as a fan of the sport. A reason why there is no more 2v2 in a race was given above. Too easy to fix races.
