  1. Have been saying that for the last 4/5 years and remember you constantly licking Silvers behind for most of them saying there's no one better.. How some peoples views change eh. What with Kennett missing a home meeting it just shows how inept silver is at his job. The old fool has bent over backwards to do another club a favour at the cost of his own and lied in the process.
  2. Fingers crossed. It's fun watching you and Roland (P)Rat make arses of yourselves.
  3. Tungate is lying. Confirmed it with his "Auty was coming across the track at me" comment. Nothing of that sort happened whatsoever. He would gain more respect by coming out and admitting he done it deliberately now rather than lie. Everyone has seen the video now. There's no defence. Louis always going to defend his rider but poor from him.
  4. He was never catching Davies, they were never side by side or that close throughout the entire race. Knock the throttle off sensibly and no incident. He wanted an incident though. I read Tungate statement the other day and from what he said, it has shown to be complete bull ocks
  5. A nice ban for Tungate coming up I assume. The video has him bang to rights. He wasn't even in a race for 2nd. He was that far behind that Davies knocked the throttle off before the line which is exactly what Tungate should have done. He knew he was never catching Davies but he wanted to take Auty out though & kept it wound on coming all the way out of bend two on a big track like Scunthorpe! Ha ha ha I think the no apology or hand up gives it away even further. Some of the Berks on here calling it inconclusive are comical. Tungate has about 250m to knock the throttle off from coming out of turn four to half way down the back straight but decides not to & "accidentally" knocks into a rider he just had a first bend incident with. Looks like he flicks the back wheel as well. No affinity to any club or rider but Tungate should be facing a ban. Very very dangerous.
  6. Predictable stuff. Is Scott still around the club? Silver is like a cancer at the club I'm afraid. Surely Scott can see the old codger has pissed everyone off & doesn't know what he's doing? Now we have Sampford quoted as saying "the 42 day break has killed our season". No John the complete and utter f'k up of replacing a 6 point plus rider with a rider who won't average 3 is the reason. Prat. I'm struggling to remember a more idiotic team change.
  7. Putrid performance. If your getting spanked at home by that Berwick side then you have major problems. The afternoon summed up all that is wrong with Rye House speedway and again it comes back to Silver. Track was rubbishe and way to dry to start with. Pointless and much to late putting more water down when well behind & the dust soon returned. The changes made are f'ing abysmal and have messed up any chance of a cup run or play off spot. Massen looks complete crap & the return of Bowen sums up the ambition of silver. The one strength of this Rye side was a strong reserve but silver has taken that away. An 80's cd stuck on all afternoon summed the place up. Everyone associated with the club(riders & promotion) should be disgusted and embarrassed by today's result. Excuses should not be made about no home meetings etc. the riders didn't look like they cared which says it all.
  8. Time to give up on Boxall. Offering nothing & sounds like it's the usual with crap kit & one bike etc. What with Lykke & Mellgren out the team isn't good enough to carry passengers. R/R scoring 0 is shambolic. Me thinks with the injuries to Lykke & Mellgren the season will drift away. Mellgren especially has had confidence issues this season after his back injury, so will most likely be even more careful when he returns.
  9. At EL level maybe, but I'm talking about WC level. He's one nor other really. A bit of a meh rider who's made the most of limited ability.
  10. He scored zero in the final last year & was horribly out of his depth. A Coventry fan above said he's a gater? He isn't & made one gate on Monday. Never going to be any better than he is now. He's never been rated so can't have been written off. Howarth in as like you say the poles are streets ahead.
  11. Decent first half of the meeting before track dried out. Last bank holiday was much worse regarding dust. Pointless interval as not enough water was put down so had dried out again by heat 8/9. Jackobsen is a real find and will be pushing for top of the league averages next season. Very much reminds of Sundstrom. A season of settling and learning the tracks and then talent will show through. Lykke is a different rider as well nowadays. A real trump card at reserve. Still a feeling that this side is short of something to challenge at the top end of the league.
  12. Season over already then. Murdered at home by Sheffield, lost at an awful Redcar and dropping points at home to mighty Scunthorpe. Same old predictable crap season after season. Scott must surely see Silver has made that club rotten to the core by now. Some were sticking up for Aspergren when I questioned his performances recently, but his scores have been crap for weeks.
  13. Time to redeclare the side. Side not strong enough to compete if having to rely on crap guests like Edberg etc. Waiting would be criminal as give it a few weeks and the season will be over. Steads injury covered up a shocking home performance. 50+ by Sheffield at Rye? Aspergren has started to struggle and Mellgren is very inconsistent. Let's hope the new owners are a bit more proactive than Silver. Lykke/Bowen out & use the points. If Boxall needs to be sacrificed as well then so be it.
  14. That's what I love about Sampford, a pure winner! "This has hopefully been a boost to our confidence". Erm you lost 52-38 John with four race winners.
  15. Erm if he's done his cruciates or got severe ligament damage he won't be riding for anyone for a long time thicko. Why don't you read the post instead of making yourself look an arse?
  16. Would wait and see the prognosis on Kasper. Knee ligaments doesn't sound good. If he's not going to be fit then redeclare with both reserves out. Sign a 3 pointer like Greenwood and then well over five points to use with whoevers available. Sides not strong enough to piss around with guest reserves for the next few weeks and if stuck with NL riders then the near point more on bowens average needs to be used elsewhere.
  17. If that's the case & my money behind it then goodbye Mr Silver. His arrogant decisions cost the side. Noticed Mellgren made a comment on Twitter about how slick it was.
  18. That was when Silver was owner, he isn't now. If the new bloke sees the problems Silver causes then he'll have to go. By the sounds of it he's cost the home side the meeting yesterday & pissed the captain off. If Rye don't qualify from the group now then he's already costing the new bloke by not having the extra meetings.
  19. That's Silver for you. Needed to have gone 4/5 years ago. He's so stubborn these days he's ended up pissing everyone off. As I said recently, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's not there come the end of the season. If I had invested money in the club like the new owner the last person I would want running the club would be the silly old codger. Good to hear Kennett had a go at him & hopefully the new owners will see sense shortly.
  20. And Plymouth... Terribly weak from Silver and could easily cost the side points in the long run. There is no chance Jon Cook would have done the same in return ano your mad to believe otherwise. It's another example of why Silver needs to go as he's lost touch and shows he has no winning mentality at all. This cosy agreement just shows he has bent over backwards for Lakeside and the rider. He's our asset now for christ sake, we call the shots. Edward can ride any track on his day if in the mood, so horses for courses guests is a load of crap. His average not being what it should also means the leagues top boys aren't an option. Very poor and weak management.
  21. Decent deal. Garrity plainly didn't want to be there. Edward is what he is now, a part time rider who rides for fun now. He's missed his chance of doing something on the world stage so isn't going to bust a gut these days but will do a job at number one.
  22. Can only be a good thing. The last few years have been completely unacceptable. Wouldn't surprise me if Silver is moved on sometime this season along with Sampford. I wouldn't be putting money up and then have them two running it for me.
  23. Can see this side getting beat at home a good few times. Certainly shoudnt fill anyone with any confidence. If Jakobsen can't live up to at the least his average then its a bottom of the table side again. The old boy really has no idea building sides. Looking at other sides now being assembled, it shows how poor it is.
