I've attended 4 or 5 British meetings since my club closed in 2018. Lawson has been in all of those meetings and every meeting he has turned up late and a few minutes before the start or just after. Sounds like he doesn't do Press and Practice days either. No idea why the clubs allow this sort of behaviour.

The long awaited Appeal to determine Rye House Stadium’s future will be heard at the East Hertfordshire District Council Chamber, East Hertfordshire District Council Offices, Wallfields, Pegs Lane, Hertford, SG13 8EQ on 11 August 2026. This is a public hearing and presents supporters with an opportunity to show the level of interest in saving Rye House Stadium as a Speedway venue. A strong turnout matters. It demonstrates that Rye House Speedway is not forgotten, not abandoned and not without supporters prepared to stand up for it. If you support Rye House Speedway keep this date free. If you’ve booked a holiday – cancel (or postpone) it. If you’re thinking of booking one, avoid Tuesday 11 August 2026. The decision to hold a public hearing instead of dealing with the appeal on paper reflects the scale of public interest. Now that interest must be seen. End of year update

I couldn't give two sh1ts if it's easier for Danny King or Dickson keeps his two jobs. My team were withdrawn by the BSPL in 2018 but I've shaken my head from afar with the level of doubling up. It makes the sport look completely mickey mouse and a sport not to be taken seriously. You can just about accept a young upcoming rider doubling up at reserve for a league above but we have basically the same riders in two different leagues riding for two different clubs. Offer riders 40 meetings a year in British Speedway and if they don't want it then off you pop and get a job. One league-26 league matches, KO cup and early season regional competition with the odd individual thrown in. Harry Redknapp and Phil Davies might even be able to get a Super League together offering a few quid. Triffic.

Who are the idiots still fighting for a Premiership? Lemon, Chapman and Dickson? It's done, all over Get on with one league and adapting the race format. Get rid of the nonsense of riders riding for multiple clubs, race on a night of the clubs choosing and start again. The current model is finished.

Planning permission for an all weather pitch at Rye House was refused years ago. The base it still there but it's overgrown due to the leaseholders not being allowed to touch anything on site due to years of unlawful development

Rye House was a track available 365 days of the year and had a history of producing young riders. How many young riders have been lost to the sport or never had the opportunity due to the ineptitude of the pair of idiots(Chapman and Godfrey) in charge at the time that saw the track unlawfully ripped out?

And Rye House had very healthy crowds in 2017 in the Premiership. Why? Because they rode on a Saturday or Friday night. One of the worst decisions the sport has made in recent times is agreeing to fixed race nights in the Premiership.

Wasn't Chapman stopped by the BSPL from calling off meetings at Lynn due to numerous dodgy call offs? I believe an official from the BSPL/SCB had to sign it off. Why was this stopped? The blokes a complete see you next Tuesday

Because you have Peter Schroeck building a side. Him and Courtney are out of their depth. Oxford need to be careful as Schroeck will kill off any feel good factor with his teams. Look at the shambles with the Cheetahs and the young Aussie having no visa/permit

Correct decision in the final looking at the video. Riss got over the top of Kerr and never locked up in front of Kerr. Think Kerr was surprised/panicked by Riss getting over the top of him and lost control momentarily causing the collision.

Shocking line up. What a cock up with team building but when you have Schroeck involved it's no surprise.

The only way it all comes out will be to go to Judicial Review. Will cost a lot of money though and do the consortium have those funds and commitment to fight this?

RIP Len The second division title wins at Rye will live long in the Rye fans memories. Put his money in to get the club back to it's rightful home in 2000 and built a brilliant little set up with success in the 2000's and put some cracking sides together. A shame he lost his way towards the end of his time at Rye as he seemed to get more cantankerous as he got older and stopped investing in the team and stadium. Resulting in selling up to Warren Scott which was disastrous and has meant no speedway for the last 5 years and a huge battle on to return it to Hoddesdon.

Think I remember he put him through the fence after the race finished as Corbett beat him. Corbett never recovered from the wrist injury and hardly rode after that incident. Wilson always came across as thick as sh!t.

Didn't he stab Steve Boxall at a Rye House P+P day? Must have been around 10 years ago now. Garrity was in the team at the same time as well
