Why should Hancock, or any other rider be pleased that Harris won, it means that they didnt win. I would be bitter too if someone just passed me on the last bend of a gp to take the win. Think people make too much of riders getting along and shaking hands etc, at the end of the day they are there to win, Hancock was in fact quite magnanimous in defeat. Another thing that annoys me is how Commentators and pundits always try and get other riders to praise the brits during interviews ( and team GB during the world cup) but thats another point for another time

TBH I cannot blame Nichollls for accepting the widcard, more money, sponsorship and such, the problem is BSI. to quote Garth from Wayne's World "they fear change", I believe automatic qualification should be limited to to 4, 6 at a push, the next 4 then seeded into the qualififcation semis. The problem is there just arent enough riders to compete with the likes of Crump, Hancock, Pedersen etc.

Nicholls

Isnt it amzing how people only see what they want to see. As someone said elswhere you can never win an argument, or even have an unbiased argument on here

would you agree that hans was only slightly in front because Nicholls is virtually dragging him along due to the fact that hans is sprawled across Nicholls much in the same way that the Hans groupies would like to sprawled across hans? ( not picking an argument just want to know your opinion, and also not accusing you of being a hans groupie )

they were side by side going into the bend, if anything nicholls was in front, the nature of speedway is to slide the bike so the back wheel is going to come out, with hans leaning all over nicholls the only way hans could have avoided being touched by nicholls back wheel is if nicholls didnt turn. Nicholls had the line going into the bend, hans had to concede the bend or risk falling off and being excluded (although not in this case obviously) that said hans did go down ridiculously easily

really? take off the andersen tinted spectacles for everyones sake The Hans groupies come up trumps once again

apart from today when he pulled off a superb ride to go under Andersen, before somehow being excluded and the last GP when he beat hans in the final of course Scott was in the gap despite andersens best attempts to ride horizontally acoss the straight, which I am not complaining about, just hard racing however Scott had the line going into the bend, what was he supposed to do?not turn? refs seem to have no real clue when it comes to passing up the inside. Just ask oxford fans about the eriksson/morris incident at bv earlier in the year

all the best riders do bert, although it is not as noticeable in all of them, Andersen is arrogant, Crump is arrogant, Nicki Pedersen is arrogant, they are top class speedway riders and they know it. They need that arrogance to succeed. Look at richardson he has very little self belief and as a result will never become a serious world title contender.

good call, thats the only thing that annoyed me about Louis last night. Brought in for his gating skills on a track it was said to be paramount and 5 starts and last into 5 first bends, thats not including re runs.

Norris: David Norris: 1, EF, 3, 0 = 4 and . David Norris 1, 2, 3, 6!, 0, 0 = 12- double points ride = 9 from 6 and 4 from 4, total 13 from 10. Louis: 3, 6!, 1, 3, 1 = 14 - double points ride = 11 from 5. make your own minds up.

surely the strangest decision in swc history to put Richardson on a joker ride against Hancock, home track specialist and one of the best riders in the wc so far, Jarek Hampel, Polands best rider up to that point and Charlie Gjedde, another home track rider, why not give it to Nicholls in the next race against Denmarks worst rider on the night Iversen and Ronnie Correy, was always llikely to be 4 points at worst. Middlo needs to be more on the ball on saturday

We all knew Stead could not ride the reading track, why did middlo leave him in the race off in the first place only just to give him only three rides and then leave him out of the final all together? correct desicion i think but very harsh on steady all the same, sure he will be back next year anyway.

how can someone who finished 15th ( i think ) be chosen for the gp's and a rider who misses out on qualifying by 8 points not be chosen. i know its ifs and buts however he only missed out because of scoring about 3 points in the opening round. Hans had proved himself capable of winning gps, something which the two brits failed have failed to do. I may be stretching things to far but is this not discrimination? he is theoretically better qualified than both nicholls and richardson.

saying he is one of the top brits no longer holds water in world speedway. In wha other country would David McAllan make the national final. ( no disrespect to David McAllan) Once you get past Nicholls and Richardson there really isn't much at all.

Thats partly the problem witht he gp's, you can pick from a group of 3 or 4 who is going to be world champion. there are not enough riders to match Rickardsson and crump. Nicholls is an exciting rider and i believe it will only take a gp win for him to settle down and make finals consistantly. Richardson is different, he is a very tidy rider and has a good head on his shoulders, needs to put it about a bit more but he can make an impact. people cannot say they dont care if a brit is in the cardiff gp or not, the brits make the british gp. anyone who was there cannot deny that the were brought to their feet when Lee Richardson passed Nicki P coming out of that last bend, or indeed the year before just for that split seconds when Richardson hit the front in the final, thats what the british gp is all about. I think it would lessen my cardiff experience if there were no brits competing. I have to disagree with Subedei, its like others have said on your reckoning the gp should only have 8 riders in, only 8 can qualify automatically but it doesnt mean the rest of the riders should be discarded, they are possibly the next best riders in the world outside the top 8. I dont know about everyone else but i would like to see someone who perhaps is not right up there, like andy smith used to be ( preferably Simon Stead), makes it all the more exciting when they are doing well, like when carl stonehewer was in semi-finals
