  1. So Jon knew the date of the AGM and that at the meeting he would have to commit to running in the EL. So why the hell weren't the rental negotiations completed beforehand. Can only think this was planned and we've just been given the usual bullsh1t
  2. Would think that at 2 or 3 riders would come over from Lakeside to try and tempt the fans across.
  3. Don't think there was much twisting going on. Jon said that they were exploring several options, including this mystery polish rider who would really make us serious contenders. That was certainly my perception. However, with the supposed AJ situation that changed. If that was the first time we have been told something, only for it to fail to materialise, then that is perfectly understandable. But it's not, we've been told of various plans over the last several years and none have come to fruition - backup for AJ, Changes will be made etc. On Monday, at his Heat 14 chat, we have been told that it's all change at Lakeside. Both on and off track. A complete revamp, of personnel and riders, that will take the club forward, plus a new track in 3 or 4 years time, hopefully. So let's wait and see what he delivers this time!!!
  4. SKY Website is stating Lakeside vs Swindon next week - which is surprising news to all Lakeside fans!!!!
  5. Tatum says on the club website - " We were desperately disappointed when we heard he couldn't travel" So they knew much earlier. Once again the fans being manipulated by withholding information
  6. Given that notification of AJ's absence wasn't until after 7, I assume he must have already arrived in the pits. Can anyone confirm if he was there, or is it the usual bullrubbish of not telling anyone until it's too late.
  7. At last some honesty about the crowd level. The photos posted on twitter clearly showed a poor crowd, yet Bryn still makes his usual promotional comments about how good things are at Lakeside!!!
  8. Posted on Twitter by LakesideHammers :- Edward Kennett ruled out of tonight's meeting due to illness. Ben Morley comes in at Number 8.
  9. The heavens are trying - Lots of rain this morning and now showers. Plus it's cold, so it will be freezing over there.
  10. Or indeed Kings Lynn cancelling a meeting against Lakeside 2 days before because of a broken fuse!!
  11. Bjarne he isn't. - thankfully A second heat leader he isn't. - during his last hammers spell that's where he finished up A team player he isn't. - I disagree. Saw a lot of team spirit from Lewis Good on away tracks he isn't - That's why Poole were sniffing around and using him as a guest
  12. New forum created, here's the link: http://lakesidehammerfans.freeforums.net/ Hopefully all those on the old forum can find and have fun using this new site
  13. Might be worth setting up a Fans of Lakeside Speedway forum. With a name like that, I don't think they could close it. Anyway as originally said, treating us with utter contempt.
  14. As Tatum said in his pre-ride assessment, you are almost constantly turning on that track If Doyle was turning that much he would have been on NP's inside! Your pictures shows Doyle turning left as he approached the bend - perfectly normal. It shows Nicky going straight - Off the racing line and going to fast to turn sharply given his position.
  15. Interesting pictures and they do look quite damming. However a couple of point to note regarding the bottom picture: 1. You can see how close they are to the third bend and therefore should start turning/putting your leg out. Pedersen can't as he's carrying too much speed. 2. Doyle's left leg is in front of Pedersen's right. 3. It does not show Pedersen's speed given how much off the racing line he is.
  16. Nicki was in front of Doyle, but was not on the racing line and was coming in hot. Right decision made.
  17. Think you'll find most Hammers fans are expecting another embarrassing performance
  18. Agreed not a fair comment - Didn't hear anyone booing Lambert. Most were looking forward to seeing him. His move on Bech was OTT, but as soon as he crossed the finish line he was trying to apologise to Bech. He knew he'd gone to far and was trying to do the right thing. Respect for trying to do that and also to Bech for not throwing his toys out of the pram.
  19. I applaud Jon for having the Fans Forum. However, we are then presented with a situation where we have no speedway for 2 weeks, 1 meeting, no speedway for another 2 weeks, then we have 2 meetings in the space of 4 days, all because of SKY - ludicrous.
  20. With only 14 league matches, that's all we get now over a season!
  21. I was really impressed with Jacobson this afternoon and even more Kasper Lykke , who rode much better than Boxhall and Kus.
  22. Ah but this year our pants are even bigger with a few stains and skiddies. BTW, drying up around her now.
  23. I would hope that the rain will be of benefit and produce a track that will give us some racing - don't think it will be too much to worry about. My fear is that they will scrap all the dirt off and we'll have a bore fest. Needless to say a third successive home loss on a crap track would be disastrous, especially with no meetings for 3 weeks.
  24. Not right that half our fixtures are run in the first 2 months and for the remaining 5 months, there are only 8 fixtures!!!!
