Kent Kings V Mildenhall Tigers Nt 04/05
KevtheRev replied to blueherb777's topic in National League Speedway
Made my first visit to Central Park and was impressed by the whole setup. Great stadium, facilities etc everything except the track. Never seen a track so devoid of dirt (and I go to Lakeside!!!) and the blue groove was beyond a joke. At the end it looked slippy out there and a few falls at the end seemed to prove that. Also why did the water cart only come out twice and on both occasions for only 1 lap. -

Well done to the Bees - entertaining meeting. Vatcher proved once again what an absolute tool he really is. All this talk of sacking, He's the one that should go. -
Kings Lynn Stars V Swindon Robins 22/4

Probably being allowed to jump the start as usual -
A six month ban would be pointless. He could race next year and currently sits in the top 8 of the GP and may even get a wild card place if he misses out. Needs to be much longer to have any effect. 9 Months at least.

Not sure not attending a meeting will achieve much as I don't think we could reach out to enough people. I like the idea of turning your backs on riders - that would be a little difficult to cover up on TV. Alternatively how about the wearing of a Bright Coloured T-Shirt - Yellow for example with a STOP THE ROT logo ( if it could be organised get all profits going to the SRBF).

The Difference In Attendances At Tracks
KevtheRev replied to mdmc82's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
As I see it, the fixture list is very disjointed. People are not turning up because it is too espensive and they don't know who is going to be representing either team. Watching the Swedish and Polish leagues on TV - they seem to have got it right. Crowds are good and teams are stronger than the UK. To start with, we have to go to one night a week. With Poland on Sunday (and sometimes Monday), Sweden on Tuesday, then the UK has to go Thursdays. Home one weekk, away the next. Cut admission to £12 or £15 including programme. Until that happens, speedway will continue to decline in the UK. -

Please Go Middlo
KevtheRev replied to skeletor's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I cannot believe it when I saw Barker sitting on his bike looking as though somebody had shot his grandmother. It was his last ride and we were mathematically still in with a shout. Where was Middlo!!! On paper Bridger and Barker are capable of beating Woodward & Doyle but it didn't happen. Middlo's no motivator and not a good team manager. The other 3 managers last night had their team pumped up and getting stuck in. We just seemed to be making up the numbers. FFS go Middlo. -

Bridger has been riding we Bridger definitely. Riding well at the moment. Then it has to be Cook or Worrall Finally, get rid of middlo and bring Rossiter in -
Think you'll find it is Carter that is the legend and Penhall was nothing by an American fly boy. At the time there was much more interest in Carter and today more people talk about Carter than Penhall. Have to agree with Dirt about the 82 final. Not sure what footage you've watched but it's very clear that Penhall took out Carter and should have gone. Certainly no room was left.

If the BSPA do nothing this winter, then it's up to us as Fans to make a point. Seriously, we need to make a point. We need to hit them where it hurts in their pockets! I would suggest a boycott of a shared event, so as to not affect one promotion. -
My thoughts as well. I remember getting the coach from Hackney to go and support Rye every Sunday. Wasn't any hatred from the Hackney side and I can't see why there would be the other way.

It's all about money and they will want to Cardiff to be as full as possible. Having only 1 brit in the GP legitimately would risk the crowd level being affected. Rightly or wrongly I think they will want 2 brits.
