And you're making all these assumptions after one meeting where you've seen this happen. He should certainly NOT be asking himself whether he wants to ride this early after a crash. You build confidence back up the more you race, and it slowly comes back. If he's still doing this 3/4 meetings into the future, then perhaps he should, but at this stage he should definitely not. You're not human if you don't hesitate in the races immediately after a big crash.

I've never raced a speedway bike, but have competed in road racing to a semi decent standard....and I would say this is mostly true in my experience. However (and it's a big however), I would say this very much each to their own. There's no one rule fits all in this sort of situation, so questioning whether he should be 'doing this' is crazy at this stage of his career. For example, my old mate Josh Brookes struggled massively with the mental side of riding a bike after a crash in 2004 (in his early 20s) and it took him a good six months to finally get over it afterwards. Went on to win the British Superbike Championship and compete in the World Superbike Championship.

There were a few mentions at the Champ playoff final that Jenkins could be Oxford Spires bound in 2025. No concrete sources, but not sure if anybody else has heard something similar?

Vinnie Foord - is he too dangerous?

Are they going to give the air fence's side of the story as well, so not to be biased? -

Agree with most of this assessment. A sensible and non-biased Poole account of the meeting, thank you. As for Killeen, he said on BSN the medical team had withdrawn him and he wanted to continue. Slightly worrying that he said the second bang on the head "fixed his blurred vision and cured his headache".

Vinnie Foord - is he too dangerous?

And that had nothing to do with Vinnie taking out Killeen and then celebrating in front of the Oxford fans as the ambulance was coming out on the track. It set the tone for the whole evening, absolutely classless, and the atmosphere would have been totally different. What did you expect the Oxford fans to do? Say: "jolly good old chap, what a great a show you're putting on." -
Vinnie Foord - is he too dangerous?

Having watched Vinnie Foord crash six times in his last three meetings (and take out two air fences), is he too dangerous? Should there be some sort of speedway exam (like a driving test) riders should take before being allowed to race against other riders? He’s going to cause someone serious harm. -
That’s true. In the 10 heats he’s been in at Oxford this year he’s only fallen off 5 times. And only once did that result in a destroyed air fence. 50% falling off rate, 20% air fence destruction.

You should have seen what he did to Oxford's yesterday, as opposed to sitting in your armchair.
-
If he replaces Vinnie Foord, then Poole will save a small fortune in air fences. Good business. Although the be fair, Foord did look significantly quicker than Cairns yesterday. No doubt Cairns has potential, but Foord's going to score more points (if he stays on his bike).

If you want to go down the context route, how about this..... Killeen didn't take him out in the first place! Maybe Mr 'acts like he went to the meeting, but was actually sat at home' shouldn't say things that aren't true. He's got a new name, but it's the same old nonsense.

He's good at those.

2025 GP line up/wildcards

One of the comments at the bottom of that story is hilarious. The Poles really think they own the sport don't they? "It's spitting in our face once again. We should give up organizing tournaments and let them ride on some henhouses and not our stadiums" -
He wouldn't have made the comment if it wasn't an Oxford rider.

I think you should look up what 'take him out' means. Wait, I'll do it for you. According to the Collins English Dictionary is means 'to kill, destroy or maim'. Does it really need to the word deliberate to go with it?
