    BV have been around longer.

And your point is what exactly? Do they need a smaller trophy cabinet because of this? If you're doing it on a ratio basis... Wembley Lions have won as many top tier titles as Poole and they only competed for 35 seasons.

Everyone has been giving him so much stick it's great to see him interview like this. He does acknowledge that he crashes and falls alot. One post on the Lions FB page has Vinnie riding and everyone commented on how he would hit the air fence and he took like a champ. I'm sure the Oxford fans aren't getting to him one bit.

They clearly are if he felt the need to react like he did after taking out Luke Killeen. An ambulance was literally on the way to the track.

In every match on BSN this year he has done it

Not too sure what motivates you to say something like that as it's simply not true (which races did he throttle off at Glasgow for instance), but there's not really much point in carrying this on. I've seen Boughen racing hard and passing people in close quarters, but it appears you haven't, so we'll agree to disagree. I know a fair bit about riding a bike (like yourself, no doubt), and I have very different views. I certainly don't think it's as black and white as you're making out. The mental side of riding a bike at high speed is far more complex.

I’m not questioning him if he wants to ride,he should be asking himself these questions, what I’m seeing and I know other in the sport are see it too isn’t a rider who lacks ability or speed, it’s a rider who clearly has some sort of mental block in certain races and it seems to be when he hasn’t got fresh air infront of him, because of the shortness of a speedway race and most of it happens in the first 15 seconds speedway is a massive mental sport and it is bloody hard to commit to a first corner but not only is he not committing in some races he is visibly shutting off, maybe he can sort this problem in time but anyone will tell you in any motorsport, when you ride not committed is when it comes to bite you and you get hurt

And you're making all these assumptions after one meeting where you've seen this happen. He should certainly NOT be asking himself whether he wants to ride this early after a crash. You build confidence back up the more you race, and it slowly comes back. If he's still doing this 3/4 meetings into the future, then perhaps he should, but at this stage he should definitely not. You're not human if you don't hesitate in the races immediately after a big crash.

You need balls ride a bike you need confidence to race it, crashes do make you weary and the longer your career the more that weariness grows but pretty much you are over it when you get your next race win, nobody wants to crash but if this is in your mind especially in your early years of your career then you need to ask yourself should I be doing this ?

I've never raced a speedway bike, but have competed in road racing to a semi decent standard....and I would say this is mostly true in my experience. However (and it's a big however), I would say this very much each to their own. There's no one rule fits all in this sort of situation, so questioning whether he should be 'doing this' is crazy at this stage of his career.

For example, my old mate Josh Brookes struggled massively with the mental side of riding a bike after a crash in 2004 (in his early 20s) and it took him a good six months to finally get over it afterwards. Went on to win the British Superbike Championship and compete in the World Superbike Championship.

From a Poole perspective obviously really enjoyable meeting. Drama, crashes and hard racing. On the relevant incidents. Lawson took Masters wheel so correct decision, Vinnie footrest got caught in Killeen's front wheel so he had got ahead but he did seem to move over so probably alot would have given it the other way.  I thought Nicholls was rolling but maybe just a great start so a bit unlucky. Boughen slowed going in to first bend leaving Zach nowhere to go. Vinnie took out Jody Scott which looked reckless and doesnt look any better on replay! As Brennan said if he had rode better Saturday we wouldnt have had this steep hill to climb but he rectified that last night. Killeen's second crash was on his own and walked away so not sure why withdrawn maybe effects of earlier crash.

Agree with most of this assessment. A sensible and non-biased Poole account of the meeting, thank you. As for Killeen, he said on BSN the medical team had withdrawn him and he wanted to continue. Slightly worrying that he said the second bang on the head "fixed his blurred vision and cured his headache".

Your last paragraph should also apply to the small group of very hostile Oxford 'fans' - many of whom were older and should know better- who cheered and gesticulated when he hit the airfence in front of them which undoubtedly provoked his reaction.

It's the first time i've ever witnessed stadium security being called to attend to their behaviour.

And that had nothing to do with Vinnie taking out Killeen and then celebrating in front of the Oxford fans as the ambulance was coming out on the track. It set the tone for the whole evening, absolutely classless, and the atmosphere would have been totally different.

What did you expect the Oxford fans to do? Say: "jolly good old chap, what a great a show you're putting on."

Don't need  to watch it. Killen was not taken out by Foord.

Scott Nicholls was rolling at the start so it was called back.

Ben Cook did not take out Ashton Boughen.

Your post is complete nonsense apart from the Vinnie Foord and Jody Scott incident which Vinnie was at fault.

Plus your stupid comment saying the ref was a homer.

    It's Poole not Poodle.

The fact you’ve stated these two things, suggests you probably should go back and watch it!
