  1. And your point is what exactly? Do they need a smaller trophy cabinet because of this? If you're doing it on a ratio basis... Wembley Lions have won as many top tier titles as Poole and they only competed for 35 seasons.
  2. I think that result is probably even more of a foregone conclusion than the KO Cup final. Give it a miss, for your own sanity.
  3. You’d have imagined him being listed in Oxford’s line-up would have been the answer….then again, we’re talking about Peter Shroeck.
  4. They clearly are if he felt the need to react like he did after taking out Luke Killeen. An ambulance was literally on the way to the track.
  5. Foord was ahead of Killeen, Scott was ahead of Foord.... but according to Shovlar Foord wasn't responsible for either.
  6. Not too sure what motivates you to say something like that as it's simply not true (which races did he throttle off at Glasgow for instance), but there's not really much point in carrying this on. I've seen Boughen racing hard and passing people in close quarters, but it appears you haven't, so we'll agree to disagree. I know a fair bit about riding a bike (like yourself, no doubt), and I have very different views. I certainly don't think it's as black and white as you're making out. The mental side of riding a bike at high speed is far more complex.
  7. Enlighten me, which other meetings have you seen him shut the throttle off at the first bend? He did it in the first leg at Oxford perhaps, but....
  8. And you're making all these assumptions after one meeting where you've seen this happen. He should certainly NOT be asking himself whether he wants to ride this early after a crash. You build confidence back up the more you race, and it slowly comes back. If he's still doing this 3/4 meetings into the future, then perhaps he should, but at this stage he should definitely not. You're not human if you don't hesitate in the races immediately after a big crash.
  9. I've never raced a speedway bike, but have competed in road racing to a semi decent standard....and I would say this is mostly true in my experience. However (and it's a big however), I would say this very much each to their own. There's no one rule fits all in this sort of situation, so questioning whether he should be 'doing this' is crazy at this stage of his career. For example, my old mate Josh Brookes struggled massively with the mental side of riding a bike after a crash in 2004 (in his early 20s) and it took him a good six months to finally get over it afterwards. Went on to win the British Superbike Championship and compete in the World Superbike Championship.
  10. There were a few mentions at the Champ playoff final that Jenkins could be Oxford Spires bound in 2025. No concrete sources, but not sure if anybody else has heard something similar?
  11. Don't worry, lower league trophies are much smaller. It's Belle Vue that probably need a bigger trophy cabinet - 14 top tier titles now. Bravo!
  12. Are they going to give the air fence's side of the story as well, so not to be biased?
  13. Agree with most of this assessment. A sensible and non-biased Poole account of the meeting, thank you. As for Killeen, he said on BSN the medical team had withdrawn him and he wanted to continue. Slightly worrying that he said the second bang on the head "fixed his blurred vision and cured his headache".
  14. No arguments from me on that one. Boughen did the exact same thing all night long, apart from the race he won.
  15. And that had nothing to do with Vinnie taking out Killeen and then celebrating in front of the Oxford fans as the ambulance was coming out on the track. It set the tone for the whole evening, absolutely classless, and the atmosphere would have been totally different. What did you expect the Oxford fans to do? Say: "jolly good old chap, what a great a show you're putting on."
  16. Having watched Vinnie Foord crash six times in his last three meetings (and take out two air fences), is he too dangerous? Should there be some sort of speedway exam (like a driving test) riders should take before being allowed to race against other riders? He’s going to cause someone serious harm.
  17. The fact you’ve stated these two things, suggests you probably should go back and watch it!
  18. More worrying is that he doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong!
  19. Poole trying their best to win this by taking out all the Oxford riders.
  20. If Vinnie Foord doesn’t seriously injury himself, he’s going to seriously injury somebody else. Absolute liability on a bike.
