  1. Ouch. Please don't move anywhere near Oxford!
  2. With so many clubs having closed down over the years, I imagine there are quite a few riders like that. Simon Cross comes to mind (Oxford, Cradley, Weymouth, Middlesbrough and Coventry)
  3. How is this even a debate? If the stream doesn't work, of course you should get a refund. I know some people will take the stance that Birmingham need every penny, etc., but requesting a refund for a broken stream isn't going to keep them going! What might just keep them afloat is good customer service. They should be refunding customers (and apologising) for the issues immediately. Then they'll eventually reap the rewards of that customer coming back and buying the stream again another day, and the day after that, and the day after that. Keep customers happy, and they'll spend money again on another occasion. Upset them, and they probably won't. Simples.
  4. Exactly. Big IF that Killeen comes back, though.
  5. The team riding in heat 7 was superb, but they clearly learned from their mistakes. Nicholls and Heeps tried to do exactly the same thing to Schlein the week before in heat 11 and it went horribly wrong. Two points lost on that occasion. Fair play to them for giving it another go, though.
  6. That's exactly what I said. Belle Vue need to win their remaining away fixtures and hope BOTH Leicester and MIldenhall don't win meetings you'd expect them to win. Stranger things have always happened (look how Belle Vue themselves blew it last season), but a top-two finish is looking unlikely.
  7. To summarise. He basically said Poole fans don’t troll or gloat and to prove him wrong, and then you posted the ‘basso/brasso’ comment almost immediately afterwards. Carlsberg don’t do forum posts, but if they did…
  8. Good result for Belle Vue, but they need some away wins if they are going to make the playoffs. Got to beat Berwick and Workington, and it still might not be enough if Mildenhall and Leicester win all their home meetings, and pick up at least one away win. Oxford’s three away wins (and a winnable Kent fixture to come) already should mean they top the table. I can’t see them losing any at home.
  9. But you realise the significance of the timing of your ‘joke’ after what chris4gillian said? Or did that one fly over your head?
  10. Reading this thread is hilarious. Shovlar has completely thrown chris4gillian under the bus - although he'll probably still be in denial.
  11. That's a strange move. Why not replace Killeen with Garrad, and keep the R/R for Dugard? Makes them much stronger.
  12. Quick question, but why wouldn't the likes of Ashton Boughen race in this?
  13. That's shame. Hot favourites with Killeen in the team in my opinion.
  14. Plenty of people benefit from what people post on this forum. A lot of posters are very well informed, and a lot of people are very grateful for a lot of things said and explained. For instance, just a few posts before this one on this thread, a whole section on averages was explained etc. It's only the trolls who post on here that offer no benefits whatsoever.
  15. She likes speedway, that's a good thing, no? And at least her comments are usually insightful.
  16. I think he’s trying to make a point. Most Glasgow fans have been bleating on about how they’d rather have exciting racing at Ashfield than worry about winning silverware….so why wouldn’t they turn up to watch the ‘exciting racing’?
  17. But their fans also didn’t whinge about the track like the Glasgow fans have. The Poole track didn’t suddenly become much worse for that one meeting. Which tells you what? Basically that the Glasgow fans - although not directly blaming the track for the loss - are simply complaining so much because they got hammered. Even most Poole fans - bar Shovlar and Skidder no doubt - would accept their track isn’t the most exciting, but good grief, not a single set of opposing fans have moaned about it like Glasgow.
  18. High praise from a Swindon fan! While it’s great we all get along these days, would be amazing if they can re-open and we get the good old-fashioned rivalry going again.
  19. Most Glasgow fans struggling with the simple concept that their team just weren’t good enough.
  20. I presume that it can be extended as well…hard to see the stadium go back to how it was.
