  1. I believe they let those with mobility issues park at the stadium itself now.
  2. Said in an interview at Oxford a few weeks ago that he’s unlikely to be back this season, but will definitely be back in 2026.
  3. Is Blobby still thinking Gusts and Knudsen would have scored less than two points between them?
  4. True, just trying to give some context as to why he was signed.
  5. While I agree with most of what you say..... the decision to sign Knudsen was very last minute. The initial plan was to go with Scott Nicholls and Jody Scott, but ended up having the change tact when Nicholls informed them he wouldn't be fit. Jonas Knudsen and Cameron Heeps were then drafted in. The club probably panicked a little and did what they could to make the line-up as competitive as possible.
  6. Well said. What a strange thing to try and blame Oxford. His last four meetings riding at number 3 for Oxford before the crash on 15/9 were as follows… Away vs Scunthorpe (13/9) - 0,2*,2,0 - 4+1 Away vs Glasgow (8/9) - X,3,3,3,3,1* - 13+1 Away vs Redcar (6/9) - 3,3,3,3,3 - 15 Home vs Redcar (4/9) - 2,2*,3,3 - 10+1 He scored 42+3 from a possible 57 points.
  7. Yeah, you know you're getting far less points with those two in the team!
  8. Scott and Harrison are stronger than Knudsen and Gusts. Are you clinically insane?
  9. I was there last night and it was…well, a bit of a shambles. However, the racing was fantastic. And that pretty much sums it up. For those attending, Cardiff is better as you get sucked in by the atmosphere and the facilities etc. But for those watching on TV Belle Vue is far better. Both have positives and negatives, but overall I think the former always outweighs the latter (don’t think I would keep going otherwise). Belle Vue is never going to match Cardiff as an occasion, but it far surpasses it for enjoyment of racing. Depends which is more important to you. This isn’t a post trying to pick one over the other, just more a reflection on the fact it’s a shame we can’t have both. One Grand Prix at each, like originally planned, would be the dream outcome for me.
  10. They should prescribe reading this forum to people who are suicidal. They’ll soon realise their lives aren’t so bad.
  11. @szkocjasid should have a field day with Schroeck’s management tonight!
  12. Yeah, I can tell the time. Not sure about the Belle Vue one, but the Oxford preview was posted at 12.03pm on Sunday 25th May.... almost SEVEN hours before Rob's post. It was then updated at 9.09pm, adding in the missing sponsor. You've made yourself look a bit silly now haven't you?
  13. Haha. He’s pointing out that both articles were clearly available on their respective websites - and because he’s done it after the meeting - you’re somehow questioning him! Are you unable to read dates? Look when the articles were published.
  14. Just like the air fence manufacturers remember Vinnie Foord. I heard a rumour they even offered to cover his wages if he signed for Poole again.
  15. Dangerous how? Is Dan Gilkes going to read it and be so surprised that he falls out of his hospital bed?
  16. What do you want them to say? 'We were rubbish, don't bother coming to any of our other meetings'? That's probably more accurate, but now how PR works.
  17. I'm sure it will be a good meeting, it looks relatively close on paper. I think Poole might nick it though, hard to see where Oxford look stronger apart from at 7. Will need Gilkes and Jenkins to show the same kind of form from last week, and McDiarmid to have a good debut. Oxford 43-47 Poole
  18. The Poole fans are incredibly quiet on this thread. Bet they aren't so quiet after the meeting.
  19. Oxford are certainly not suffering financially, quite the opposite in fact. The finances are very healthy. The problem comes from incredibly poor team building - and loyalty to riders that could arguably be replaced with far better alternatives. Courtney and Schroek put their eggs in certain baskets (Madsen in the Premiership and Nicholls in the Championship) only for it comes back and bite them hard when neither of them ended up being available. Lots of last minute scrambling around to then try and build teams. If crowds do drop, which they probably will without changes, there are contingency plans for that. They would have to fall considerably for the club to start making a loss. There's no danger of he club being at risk - only danger is them thinking it might not be viable to do all three leagues in 2026.
  20. Yep, I agree. Although it needs to start with another heat leader and then build other changes around that. If a Leon Madsen-type signing can be made, then the other changes can work around. Could also do a lot worse than Dan Gilkes based on how he rode for the Cheetahs the other night - surely only a matter of time before he's fitted in somehow.
