  1. Special mention for Sam Masters tonight. He was in a class of his own. A joy to watch.
  2. Don’t think Nicholls will be back this season will he?
  3. Good grief. Let’s hope you never have to run a business with that attitude. You’d go bankrupt quicker than Workington.
  4. It's this attitude that stinks, and one that British Speedway also seems to abide by. It's all cloak and daggers, and treating the fans with little to no respect. Of course people have the right to know. We're the paying public, without us no speedway club would exist. Many of us have been impacted, and lost out financially for having paid accommodation for meetings that have been cancelled as a result of this. But no....screw us.... we don't matter.
  5. Good job nobody took me up on that bet! Gulp.
  6. And you think there's going to be another announcement? You've been in this game long enough to know how British Speedway works. I'll bet anyone on here good money that we won't hear a thing today - once again leaving fans in the dark.
  7. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/cab-direct-championship/bsp-statement-workington-speedway/ https://workingtoncomets.com/workington-speedway-statement-2/ Seven days are up, and there's been no mention of it being extended, so.....
  8. I believe they let those with mobility issues park at the stadium itself now.
  9. Said in an interview at Oxford a few weeks ago that he’s unlikely to be back this season, but will definitely be back in 2026.
  10. Is Blobby still thinking Gusts and Knudsen would have scored less than two points between them?
  11. True, just trying to give some context as to why he was signed.
  12. While I agree with most of what you say..... the decision to sign Knudsen was very last minute. The initial plan was to go with Scott Nicholls and Jody Scott, but ended up having the change tact when Nicholls informed them he wouldn't be fit. Jonas Knudsen and Cameron Heeps were then drafted in. The club probably panicked a little and did what they could to make the line-up as competitive as possible.
  13. Well said. What a strange thing to try and blame Oxford. His last four meetings riding at number 3 for Oxford before the crash on 15/9 were as follows… Away vs Scunthorpe (13/9) - 0,2*,2,0 - 4+1 Away vs Glasgow (8/9) - X,3,3,3,3,1* - 13+1 Away vs Redcar (6/9) - 3,3,3,3,3 - 15 Home vs Redcar (4/9) - 2,2*,3,3 - 10+1 He scored 42+3 from a possible 57 points.
  14. Yeah, you know you're getting far less points with those two in the team!
  15. Scott and Harrison are stronger than Knudsen and Gusts. Are you clinically insane?
  16. I was there last night and it was…well, a bit of a shambles. However, the racing was fantastic. And that pretty much sums it up. For those attending, Cardiff is better as you get sucked in by the atmosphere and the facilities etc. But for those watching on TV Belle Vue is far better. Both have positives and negatives, but overall I think the former always outweighs the latter (don’t think I would keep going otherwise). Belle Vue is never going to match Cardiff as an occasion, but it far surpasses it for enjoyment of racing. Depends which is more important to you. This isn’t a post trying to pick one over the other, just more a reflection on the fact it’s a shame we can’t have both. One Grand Prix at each, like originally planned, would be the dream outcome for me.
  17. They should prescribe reading this forum to people who are suicidal. They’ll soon realise their lives aren’t so bad.
  18. @szkocjasid should have a field day with Schroeck’s management tonight!
  19. Yeah, I can tell the time. Not sure about the Belle Vue one, but the Oxford preview was posted at 12.03pm on Sunday 25th May.... almost SEVEN hours before Rob's post. It was then updated at 9.09pm, adding in the missing sponsor. You've made yourself look a bit silly now haven't you?
