SGB Championship - 2025 Predictions
BackInTheDHSS replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That’s almost certainly what will happen. -
The punctuation is hurting my eyes!
-
Great shout!

It was in 2023, not 2024, and he averaged 8.21 across both spells at King's Lynn and Peterborough. Just 0.11 behind Dan Bewley's 2023 average. Now while it's not what you'd probably expect from a former world champion, it's a bit better than 'decidedly average' in my opinion. It's also a higher average than any Oxford Spires rider managed last year, so he wouldn't be a bad signing.

I'm sure many fans did. I've always thought Phil was on the money, so had no reason to doubt him. But not everybody gets things right all the time, and things also change. What's your point exactly?
-
You better ask @Phil The Ace that. He started the rumours back in September. In other words - no - they're not the same.
-
Jody Scott was part of the Cheetahs plans up until when Scott Nicholls was ruled out. When that happened they had to have a re-think (Knudsen a late signing and Heeps retained - as opposed to Nicholls and Scott). He'll definitely be in the Chargers team.
-
They spoke to Dudek, but nothing came of it. Last I heard it was between Madsen and Kubera - but nothing concrete.
-
Yep, Gilkes riding for the Cheetahs in 2025
-
Dan Gilkes, Jonas Knudsen and Mitch McDiarmid.
-
Not a criticism. Just a general comment that he really will be delighted.
-
He will be delighted you’ve included him on this list.
-
As Janowski showed this season, it can take time to get to grips with British tracks/set-ups. Not saying he would average 10, but I’m sure he would develop into a good heat leader if given a full season. Anyway, he’d certainly be a better option than no decent heat leader, which looking the most likely now.

I don't need to choose to believe it or not, because I've spoken to him.... so know the truth. As you're involved with one of his main sponsors, I'm sure you could do the same instead of writing two lengthy paragraphs of hearsay. No reason he wouldn't tell you what he told me, I'm sure.
-
But an Ipswich fan definitely isn't going to be told the same thing, right?
-
As hard as that might be to believe, that is exactly what happened. Ask Jordan, he'll confirm it. Sadly, it's hardly the weirdest thing Pete Shroeck has done. Nobody is saying Jordan isn't happy, because he is. Just wasn't his first choice. But second choices can still be great.
-
If he's part of his biggest sponsor, maybe he can just ask him personally then? Then he'd know the truth as well, instead of posting inaccuracies on here. But hey ho, each to their own.
-
I didn't say anything this time, other than ask for your source - which is somewhat lacking still? Care to elaborate?
-
You're source for this information? I know JJ personally, and I'd love to know where you think you know this from (and so would he I'd imagine).
-
Oh God, he's back.
-
Especially as all the other teams are currently missing at least 5/6 riders.

Peterborough Panthers 2023
BackInTheDHSS replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Technically, that's true, but only because they were blocked from joining the Premiership in 2021 by the other clubs not wanting to share the TV money. When Peterborough and Wolverhampton sadly closed, the other clubs then realised they might not get any TV money and Oxford were miraculously welcomed with open arms in 2024. Funny that! -
Maybe you should wait for some actual evidence before calling for resignations. So far the sources are 'a couple of people on a forum'.

How long have we got before the outraged Poole fans jump on this thread?
