What about Northampton?
BackInTheDHSS replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Mayfield Sports Events Ltd. is indeed a different company from Mayfield Sports Management Ltd. The latter now trades as Junefield Associates Ltd. It was subject to a winding up petition (when called Mayfield Sports Management Ltd.) in November 2024 by Craft Bamboo Holdings Ltd., who claimed to be the main creditors of the company. No results of the hearing in early 2025 were published and - as the company still exists - one can presume the case was either withdrawn or thrown out. Now, where the lines become blurred, is the fact that a third company called Mayfield Motor Sports Ltd. owns 75% of the shares of Mayfield Sports Events Ltd. (which has been an active company since 2017). Interestingly, Anoushka Coleman is listed as the sole director of that. There was also a winding up petition launched against Mayfield Sports Events Ltd. by The Nexthash Group Ltd. in 2024. However, this was dismissed in court. -

Of course Workington look entertaining, they've got Batch. He entertains the fans with wheelies when he's last. -
Championship Predictions 2026
BackInTheDHSS replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Needs Erik Riss to stay fit all season, though. If he does - and he shows the sort of form he showed in the Premiership last season - he's arguably the signing of the year in the Champ. It's a big IF though. If he's out for large parts of the season, there's no guest/replacement that will offer his scoring power on that average. -
Oxford have confirmed the Chargers will be running “in a six-team National Development League”. Race nights Wednesdays and Fridays.

Although, Garrity also spent more time in prison than Hitler, which makes you wonder…. Maybe he’s literally Hitler. Page 6. I thank you.

Oxford Spires 2026 ?
BackInTheDHSS replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It’s not directly up to the Oxford Cheetahs promotion. That’s run by Jamie Courtney whereas the Oxford Stadium lease is held by Kevin Boothby. If someone offers Boothby a hefty chunk of change for the right to run a Premiership team at Sandy Lane then there’s little Courtney can do about it. -
Marson’s temporary contract was until 29th June 2025, not the 11th May 2025 when he was REPLACED! That’s a change regardless of whether you think Cairns joining the team was or not (which it still is by the way).

SGB Championship 2026 Confirmed Signings
BackInTheDHSS replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Bit hard to say that this stage.... Workington or Scunthorpe perhaps. Plenty of time for that to change though. -
It's Zach Cook...

I think @Fromafar was making a general comment about the state of this thread over the past 5/6 pages. Not a specific attack on yourself. It really would be nice to move on and focus on speedway, but it requires somebody to just let it go (please, anybody). Let's hope tonight's signing announcement does just that.

I’m starting to wonder if you two run British Speedway.

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams

Capped it up and then got it wrong! -
Mitchell McDiarmid and Luke Killeen signed.

Don’t know where Bonjangles got them from, but they are all available on GBSpeedway. It’s a fantastic site if you’ve never used it before… https://www.gbspeedway.com/2025/averagelist.php?mc1=x&mc2=a&mc3=y&mc4=x&search=all&sort=average&meets=All&bp=inc&hora=all&num=&league=B&oleague=B&mleague=B&above=&lower=&upper=&below=

Fair enough. To be fair, you’re one of the more reasonable Poole fans I’ve encountered on here.
-
So what if he is? Maybe he’s new to the sport. Common courtesy and helping somebody doesn’t cost anything.
-
This is the Poole thread. That sort of post will definitely get some childish responses! 😀

Shock therapy was it?

Great signing. Well done Poole. Didn’t see that coming at all. If he stays fit, he’s a match winner

Some of you Poole fans are weird. You’ve been babbling on about Rushen for months (not weeks), yet a Wimbledon fan posted a picture of him with an Oxford pen - and suddenly you’re wanting to shut up Oxford fans who have hardly said anything.

It wouldn't surprise me. I reckon the team will be Sam Masters Anders Rowe Mitchell McDiarmid Luke Killeen Cameron Heeps Dan Gilkes Darryl Ritchings
