Glasgow Tigers vs Poole Pirates 26th July
GM95 replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Get off your high horse, plenty of decent racing tonight at Armadale. Why don’t Glasgow stream their meetings? -

Away you go… I’m sure we’d have a great crowd if we started cancelling meetings a couple hours before due to the line up changing. Muppet -

McGurk has only been at Armadale once this year… and struggled. Fully expect Connor and Max to have the better of him and Celina. Interested to see how Vuolas goes but I think we should have more than enough to win this meeting. -
Connor was brilliant tonight, exactly the type of riding we’ve been expecting of him all season. As you say, hopefully he can take that form into the championship. Agree re Dayle, not sure how much he’s been riding. Thought Mason was excellent and Max P is now starting to show his potential, he’s very switched on with what lines to ride.

Poole v Edinburgh Weds 3rd July 2024.
GM95 replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great post and I agree to an extent. He’s solid at home but very unreliable away. The frustration comes because we know what’s he’s capable of, he too often loses to reserves though. He also rarely passes anyone if he misses the gate which isn’t really acceptable for a third heat leader. He’s fine as a number 2/4 but not strong enough to be a 3. -
No where near good enough tonight. Good effort from Josh and Lasse whilst young Max tried his hardest but absolutely abysmal from the rest.

Scunny v Edinburgh D/H 28.06.2024

Good effort from the lads to fight back in the second half of the meeting last night. Track was very poor for the first few heats but there was some good racing towards the end. Josh, Sedgy & Paco were top notch again, Lasse with a big ride in 12 and Kye came on well in his last two. Connor throwing points away from scoring positions again, frustrating but I’m sure it will click soon and Max still recovering from his injury but looking better as well. -
Edinburgh Vs Scunthorpe (Championship) 21/6/24
GM95 replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Totally agree. Lasse looked like a different rider, probably had some confidence knowing he wasn’t getting wiped out on the first bend. Kye looked more like his former self but I still worry about his away form. Great effort from the whole team though, bonus point is definitely achievable. -

There were a few issues with the streaming equipment last night, the wireless router packed in at one point as well. -
Brilliant meeting last night and a great result for the boys. Connor was electric out the gate and just needs to find more speed, Josh, Paco and Sedgy all outstanding. Sam and Scott are a joy to watch around the dale. It just shows you that there is plenty passing when there’s 2 decent teams on track.

We were in the position where we didn’t need to be chase heat wins. Job done, thanks for coming.

Take back those comments from midweek, Paco…what a guy

Oxford vs Edinburgh - Wed 29th May

At this stage, I just want that middle pairing changed whether it’s a different riding order or bringing new faces in, preferably the latter. -

Changes required… Kye, Paco and Connor could all go for me. Started the season well but we all knew this was coming when the team was built. We’ve been too loyal to certain riders who should never have been back this year. -
Workington v Edinburgh 18/05/24 3pm championship
GM95 replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Connor seems to lack any sort of pace. He’s scored some crucial points but he’s been massively disappointing. The team started the season impressively but last night and today have shown that we’re not capable of competing. There must be changes on the horizon… -

Don’t agree with Dayles reaction but both Pijpers need to learn how to pass without taking a front wheel. -

Stene almost wiped Dayle out on the back straight, Dayle rightly unhappy. Think Stene has been watching his brother too closely, one of them will cause a serious injury riding like that. -

Disappointing not to go through as I feel Poole were there for the taking after the first 4 heats. The track dried out pretty quickly after the first grade and heat 5 killed our momentum. All credit to Poole, they rode well and adjusted to the drying track, Brennan was top notch. On the positive side, it’s another home win against a very strong side. Josh now looks like a reliable number 1 and has been well backed up by Paco & Sedgy. I’ve been impressed with Connor & Max settling in and scoring important points at reserve but Kye was woeful tonight, it’s simply not good enough for a number 3 and I’m not sure how long we can put up with it for. -
Edinburgh V Berwick BSN Trophy 26th April
GM95 replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good to see some positivity after a 16 point win… I thought our 1-7 all rode well for their first home meeting of the season. We’ve also scored 40+ and Poole and Berwick whilst chucking some points away, think the boys deserve some credit. I do agree that it was brilliant to see some competitive racing again at the dale. -
BERWICK v EDINBURGH (BSN Series) Saturday, April 13
GM95 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ref was poor for both sides. Etheridge decision was bonkers and Josh impeded himself when he jumped but he also let Schlein and Hume away with moving at the tapes. Good effort from the Monarchs although we can’t rely on Josh scoring like that all season. Kye and Sedgy will need to step up and Lasse needs to improve. Good to see Paco starting to find some consistency and showing what he’s capable of. -
Delighted with that 1-7, reckon there will be improvement in all of the boys and we should hopefully be challenging at the top end of the table. Great effort
-
Uninspiring way to finish the team when we had over 5 points to use. Will support the boys but can’t see this team competing.
