  1. What happened behind the scenes is laid bare and open on Companies House. So its clear what has happened.
  2. All I try to do is explain the legal standing, nothing more. Its just a case of most fans do not know where to look to find out the truth. I do go to Workington at least once a season but its one of the harder tracks for me to reach. Now its a later start time I have to factor in a hotel as the meeting now starts after the last train to London departs. 3pm starts mean I could just about make the final train to London and have a day trip.
  3. I'm sorry but legally this is not the case. The business does not exist from the 17th June 2025, as stated at Companies House " Final Gazette dissolved via compulsory strike-off ". Therefore, there is not a company to be "taken on the business as a going". Compulsory strike off means they have debts than are unable to be paid by existing assets.
  4. Really, you have obviously not seen him in the previous two seasons. He finished last year on 9.14, with only Kurtz-9.18 and Doyle-9.36 having higher averages. That I put it to you, with the third highest avg in the league last year, he was already and out and out No 1.
  5. I think if you have both eyes open you would have thought this for the last three seasons.
  6. So a new company has been formed yesterday https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/16571367 With a single Director https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/16571367/officers I just hope that when the old company went to the wall on the 17th June https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/04261535 no small local business were owed money that they walked away from.
  7. As Derwent has stated the club is "Bona Vacantia" which means that all assets come under the ownership of The Treasury. This would include rider contracts. So its up to the Treasury to decide how best to make as much money as possible to pay themselves back. So I would suspect they wont let riders guest incase they get injured and then cannot be signed by other clubs. This would apply to both riders on a work permit and those that do not need them.
  8. I think Poole's success comes down to three factors 1) The demographic of the local market. 2) The lack of other professional sport in the area. 3) The support of the regional media 4) The hard work and professionalism of the Owners and Promoter who exploit the above three points to their near maximum.
  9. High fiveing the fans, something that happens all the time in Sweden and Poland. Cost nothing, but gets greater interaction with the fans
  10. Hold on, doubling up is a red herring as 5 of the Poole team double up one way or another as signed riders or regularly guesting.
  11. And there you have hit the nail on the head. However catchment area, disposable income, support from regional media and proximity of other professional sports may have an impact on the above statement.
  12. From when Lynn submitted it to the BSPA 72 hours before the meeting one would imagine.
  13. I don't think that BSN help the situation. I have a season subscription, I am recently retired, and tend to travel by train to meetings. Normally I would jump on an EMT for Sheffield v Leicester tonight but frankly, its feet up on the sofa with a bottle of wine for me. Speaking to other fans they do the same if the don't fancy the opposition, its to cold, to wet or as its been recently to hot to stand under a low metal roof for 2 hours.
  14. Im not so sure of that I suspect that Cairns would not come cheap. However from what I understand he was unlikely to do the Premiership next season. Lets see how he rides for Poole first.
  15. Morris would be to much of a risk, as he not ridden competitively for 2 years. I see no other suitable available rider. Only guest options were Rowe, Kerr, Zagar, Wright or Janowski. 1 was taken, 2 commute so unlikely to take a guest booking which leave Kerr and Wright and I think the Management at Leicester would hope that RR (which I think scored 6) would have outscored any guest. I can see Leicester doing the rest of the season with RR and the odd guest away from home if a UK based track specialist is available. They did win the league in 2019 with a similar strategy.
  16. He did said there is "Nah point in shouting at the riders" I have read that when he does shout his accent becomes stronger and no one understands him.
  17. Again apologies that I come from a legal background but the Heat Six description is.... "Tigers gated! Fricke burst between them off b2, and Howarth didn't take long to get ahead of Sedgmen". So lets break the statement down . Them is a plural therefore Fricke would have been behind both of them, so that two riders passed. The implication of this is that at some stage Howarth was behind Sedgeman. So that is also a pass. Therefore it is safe to say that there was three passes in Heat Six alone last Monday at Leicester.
  18. Ashley Holloway made the point on his ASH-TECH Facebook account that he thought tubeless tyres Could have contributed to the severity of crashes in Europe. www.facebook.com/share/1BwAGBW1kM/
  19. Sorry as I ex Barrister I have challenged statements like that for 35+ years so, I wondered how you knew there was one overtake in the meeting if you did not watch it?
  20. Watched last night on the TV but the previous week's meeting in the stadium and I thought the outside line worked well, and was used to great effect by Pickering last week.
  21. Its changed and based on a number of visits last season and one this season & is now a decent racetrack. Its benefitted from reprofiling the corners, a change to the banking and having a different track surface.
  22. Kemp did lock up in front of him and the ref made the decision having watched a reply.
