Been to both tracks and neither come close to Peterborough. If I found myself very bored and a good team were visiting Leicester I would probably visit but I must say the times I’ve been there this year the atmosphere really leaves a lot to be desired. Even when they were beating teams like sheffield & belle vue. Compost corner absolutely no chance, seen better racing in an egg & spoon race than you get there. Unfortunately I can’t see anything comparing to the showground thats in reasonable distance so, fingers, toes & everything else crossed this isn’t the end for it.

Personally I think Wroclaw have put a stop to Laguta riding after the incidents they had yesterday evening. I think if Peterborough tell the truth that Laguta is withholding his services he gets a ban, so the best option is to say he’s injured, get a dodgy doctors note which allows Peterborough the facility and no ban for Laguta. Can’t say I blame Wroclaw either seen as this meeting is not really a contest for anything other than pride. Is a shame as a panthers fan however would love to see Laguta around the showground again. I hope the kings lynn meeting goes ahead and he is there. Wont be holding my breath.

For me personally as someone who has only been following speedway a few years, that was the best meeting I’ve ever been too & that heat 15 was unbelievable… iversen keeping woffinden who was on a max behind him for 4 laps, absolutely unreal

Thats my plan, was going to make a 6hr round trip but with the riders on show it doesn’t seem worth it. I can’t believe they don't invite woffy / lambert, everyone knows there are no real rules for qualification & the reason they don’t invite those 2 is purely because they’re salty they don't ride in this country. Would be understandable if there was a plethora of other, similar ability riders available but there simply isn't. Add on top of that is a one off final, they should be putting out the best line up possible to sell the event.

At least Peterborough were in with a shout in heat 15 and not all over by heat 10. With tarasenko I think it would’ve been a win. If all the home meetings are that enjoyable for the rest of the season at least the showground can go out on a high.

Exactly what I thought. They are way too happy to call it off. Really it follows the trend of the whole season, they just can’t be arsed.

I must say seeing how the BSPL dealt with the kent & nora situation I would not be confident in saying they would act with the best interests of the sport and cancel chapmans license and give on to MT. I hope I’m wrong but they sure do make some funny decisions.
