If they cant tell the difference between a bit of banter and some of the other spiteful garbage that some people post then I wouldn't worry about it.
-
Barker did the same last season. Posted he wasn't signed up and was looking for a club had everyone's team predictions in uproar. Then what happened...
-
Looks like the fun police are coming out the woodwork. A bit of fun and a few red herrings, so what.
-
Looks to me like it will be... B Barker 8.15 B Wilson Dean 5.92 M B Andersen 5.20 J B Andersen 6.55 M Kus 7.40 ish Jordan Stewart 5.00 T Piper 4.23
-
It looks like Workington fans need to keep an eye on the Redcar thread.
-
I'm guessing the Andersen's are into fishing and want to go somewhere where there's lots of lakes...
-
Jorgensen had said he wasn't riding the Championship, then I read somewhere he might be. I'm guessing the Bears changed plans to fit him in, hence the clue that the management are holding two names back for the mean time and the announcement from Perks to say he wont be a Bear where I think he provisionally maybe was.

A few rumours and difference of opinion's flying about... Taking in the cluzeezeezes, I'll have a crack at... 1. Ben Barker 8.15 2 Jordan Stewart. 5.00 3. Thomas Jorgensen 7.10 4. Bradley Wilson-Dean 5.92 5.Ty Proctor 7.38 6. Coty Garcia 4.34 / Nathan Greaves 4.51 7. Jacob Bukhave 4.00 Or. 1. Ben Barker 8.15 2. Bradley Wilson-Dean 5.92 3. ????? 6.44 4. JBA 6.485. MBA 7.00 6. Nathan Greaves 4.51 7 Jacob Bukhave 4.00
-
Most seem certain that JBA's brother will be joining the Bears, but on what average. I thought it would be 7.00, but a few new Swede's/Danes are been signed up on a 5ish for other teams.

No need to throw a paddy about it. The club are doing the right thing in raising a few quid for the coffers. I see no problem with that. Brown noser . You couldn't be further away from the truth if you tried. Pay at the gate, enjoy my racing then back home for early bed and work the next day, that's me.

I'm guessing 4 or 5 of last years team will be back, with a strength in depth squad. One thing that never been mentioned is, do young reserves still come in on a 2 and is one compulsory or change back to 3 again. If they are 2 I wonder if any team will go for two 2 pointers with a massive top end top 4 or 5?
-
-
Or Ellis (depending on the team total allowance). I hope we fit Bukhave back in at reserve. I think he will do what Ellis did last season.
-
Depends what you want as a spectator. Sure theres riders out there who are good gaters and steady away. But Garrity is pure box office.
-
Keep seeing 42.5. Is this whats coming through the grapevine for next season, or are people just hoping its that to put together better team predictions?
-
Usually stay out of this sort of thing, but just thought our track needed defending, as I don't think its anymore dangerous with the banking as any other track. I haven't mentioned Newcastles track btw. Ill leave it now for Bellers and Tsunami to keep the Redcar thread running until March
-
Those two and the Gary Irvine crash doesn't amount to loads. Obviously there has to be some, but over 12 seasons they have been rare. Back to the original point, the banked turns are no more dangerous than flat corners (that's why I said theres more crashes on 1 and 2 than 3 and 4. Sort of agree with an airfence down the pit wall bit, but I'm guessing that that might cause more accidents if a rider riding the wide line might tag it and fall. Maybe 1 but 3 would be going to far.
-
I used to stand in that area in the early days and now sit in the stand. I've missed maybe 5 meetings since the Redcar track opened so I'm pretty confident in saying " Yes, I do deny that statement". I think you originally brought the subject up in a way to say the Redcar track with the banking is dangerous as a dig because there isn't anything else to put the track down. I'm really racking my brains and the only incident I can think off is when Ben Wilson lost control coming out of bend 4 and ran heavily into the fence in 08/09. There may be a few others but I cant think of any (remind me). This season alone I can only think of Barker crashing in that area when been nudged by Howarth, though he fell down the straight and not into the fence. If you were talking about turn 2 maybe, but not 4. Just to add, I'm thinking of the times an airfence had to be replaced after a crash and it always seems to be at 1 or 2, and i'm sure you said 1 and 2 were proper corners.
-
So from your 2 to 4 meetings, you gave us all a lecture a few weeks ago of how many crashes the Redcar track has and on which part of it each season
-
Wouldnt like to guess on crowd numbers but the winning amount on the 50-50 draw gives a clue to the rise and fall of attendancies. This season the winner has often grabbed £200 to £220. Last season it was £170 to £190. I was lucky enough to win in 2006 and bagged £250. Shows the crowds are up but still not to the first few seasons highs, but it does show a steady regular support week in week out. Team for 2018. I'd have them all back but if team building is going to be 40 ish then we have to loose 4.00 somewhere. Garrity(when fit) has been box office. Barker (no brainer) Wright (as Barker). JBA ( Slow start to meetings, but has been the reason we have had big comebacks as he finishes a meeting strongly) Ellis ( Seemed to dip after the fire incident, but noone can argue with a rider who puts 3 points on his average). Tobi (Bargain again if hes still on 4.66 average) Ayres ( never let anyone down and rode well). If we have to start with a new 2.00 pointer then something has to give (don't know where) and Bukhave might be in there somewhere. Got all winter to work out next years team.
